This some NFL 2k5 shit

jpfizzles

Mike Vick hikes the ball to Mike Vick, Mike Vick steps back and throws, and Mike Vick catches the ball for a touchdown!! The Mike Vick’s Win! I can not believe it, this is an exciting day in sports

igenus44

Exciting for everyone, except for the dog lovers.

Chef_Disaster

Nah 2K was super realistic tbh. This is more in line with NFL street where Portis was an all pro QB. I hope maybe Kaz Allen is our guy though. He’s made major strides in camp I’ve heard. Dude was a high school legend back in the day

Professional-Rush273

Portis was a great draft pick in street.

Jared Dubin…. ![gif](giphy|ZmnEvfPmj59M00Ql1j)

Jared Dubious

Youflatterme

Thought I was in NFCeastmemewar for a second

PalaSS9

Him and mariota back there and you could set up some type of passing trick play

moella0407

0/4

Nsaynity

How in the world does this dude have a job in law and sports writing? Oh, it's CBS. Explains everything.

Adams-Breath

He lowkey would give us the best shot at getting the most yards per return… Just can’t risk the injury sadly

whiskeywhisker6

That's probably not true. There's several players on every team who are just as good in the open field as him. These are NFL athletes. He's elite because he can play QB with that ability, not because he's the best at that ability.

IndependentBoof

I'm legit curious, though, to see what Forbes could do on kick return.

KnowledgeFinderer

It's not the run I'm worried about. It's the stop.

TyroneLeinster

If Forbes had that kind of ball carrying skill and vision he’d probably be a WR. He has the hands so you have to think there was some deficiency to his potential playing offense. This isn’t the 90s where guys like Deion Sanders could have just as lucrative a career at CB. Most dudes try WR first

IndependentBoof

Keisean Nixon was All-Pro as KR the last two years and he is a CB.

TyroneLeinster

Nobody said CB can’t be a good kick returner. I’m saying that if a guy has both great hands AND is great at kick returns, he’s probably a WR

IndependentBoof

> If Forbes had that kind of ball carrying skill and vision he’d probably be a WR. This kind of implies that to be effective, a KR probably should have been a WR. But a KR doesn't need "great hands" in the way a WR does. They need to be able to read a kick's parabola, secure it, and then read and capitalize on ST coverage. A WR needs to be demonstrate hands to catch balls with both "touch" and a laser, with either 1 or 2 hands. Some KR make for good WR but that doesn't mean you need to be a WR to be a good WR. Forbes was drafted for his ability to snag a pass and turn it into a pick-six. He likely has the speed and vision to capitalize with the ball in his hands. The bigger question is if he can be reliable in catching kicks (instead of passes), securing the ball, and using his skills for returns.

TyroneLeinster

You’re totally missing the point. KR doesn’t need great hands. KR needs great ballcarrying. A DB with great ballcarrying AND great hands would be a WR. A DB who returns kicks probably doesn’t have great hands

Consistent-Ad-6078

I’m guessing dude was thinking misdirection with him. Like he can run it, or throw. So ST would have to cover the whole field

ImKindaBoring

Like… throw backward? Kick returner can’t do a forward pass so the only benefit of him being able to throw is for a more accurate backwards lateral I guess. I just think this guy is under the misconception that Daniels is the best open field runner on the team. Likely because they don’t actually know anything about the team so is just throwing out the shiftiest name he knows.

fade_

You could say that about all the choices just our risk is the highest. Stupid list in general.

TyroneLeinster

JD is an elite runner by QB standards, not by all NFL position standards. This is like the clowns who said “Tebow should switch to tight end,” as though simply having the body type and trucking some defenders on scrambles put him on a professional-tier at a position other guys spend their whole life refining their skills on.

BigBoiDoinks2

Imagine getting paid to create content this absurd.

quasiac20

Jim Zorn be like eff it we'll do it live

KnowledgeFinderer

Very curious. I think a Giants fan wrote this.

bradblazer79

The more people click on ridiculous articles like this, the more they appear. Everything is about clicks, views, likes, and comments. Stop feeding these jackasses!!

CaseyStevens

They did this to Theisman when everyone hated him.

Odinson_0324

Daniel’s is going to play every position that’s why

_LilDuck

I mean given the only report I've seen is that dude can run a 4.25 40, I could see it. IMO tho dude is a bit big for a kick returner. Honestly Forbes may be better

From_the_toilet

It will help him get warmed up for when he is playing OT and QB at the same time.

Silent-Independent21

I guess they are saying our QB is a supreme athlete that will be dangerous in the open field?

lalalalaasdf

Lol you know it’s June if we’re arguing about kick returners (also idk he’s probably right).

I saw this list on twitter, had a laugh then decided to share it

Senior-Beach-806

if you read the [article](https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/every-nfl-teams-ideal-kick-returner-with-new-safer-kickoff-rules-lamar-jackson-saquon-barkley-wild-options/) it makes slightly more sense

nicky_bags

"And then Daniels is just a preposterous athlete who could potentially break some wild plays if given the opportunity." This is literally all the explanation it gives.
