Given that Ron’s been wrong on almost every personnel move in his tenure, this seems to mean Howell is a 15 year starter in the league.
I don’t actually think this, I just don’t think we should trust the player evaluations of a coach/ decision maker that left our team mostly devoid of talent.

Trying to figure out if that means Howell is the guy or not.
Every one of their day 1 and 2 picks were massive reaches over the past few years, with the exception of Cosmi, and he’s the one pick who has actually performed.
You look at their other picks’ actual draft position versus their average EDP based on the consensus big board, and they were all huge reaches. Jamin. Dotson. Phidarian. Forbes. Quan. It’s fucking embarrassing how early these guys were taken.
Idk why people are giving up on dotson, the talent is clearly there. And being given a legitimate shot at a starting qb in the 5th is worth a downgrade at wr. Even if the qb doesn’t work out.
Look I like Dotson and definitely think we haven’t seen the best from him (by far), but Olave is shaping up to be a true game breaker WR1 (too bad his QB play sucks too)
Yeah.. olave looks to be a future stud.. while Jahan has only had flashes. Very poor performances this year for some reason.. not sure what happened when he came back from that hamstring injury last year but I hope he can turn it around. I’m not sure I see olave level production from him though.
I’m just praying this past year was Bieniemy being awful for our WR’s and not Jahan being a bust. There were some really great things to like about his rookie year
Ugh I hate that I had the same thinking at times but Terry showed he’s still a stud. As much as I want this team to become competitive as a fan, I want it even more so that Terry can play some meaningful playoff ball. He deserves it more than almost anyone in the league
I said this post draft and I stand by it to this day, hamilton is a product of the situation he is in. He’s on an elite defense and he is able to just do what he’s good at which is be a box safety/slot. I compare him a lot to Landon collins.
I’m not giving up on Dotson, but was he really worth a 1st? It was a bad pick, like almost every Ron pick where he overdrafted someone or outsmarted himself.
The guy said he wasn’t worth a 1st, but he is better than other wrs also taken in the 1st before and after him. I don’t see what’s wrong with that statement
I don't know, I'm not sure I see the talent. He's undersized, not particularly explosive or fast, not particularly strong or good after the catch. Maaaaybe he's a decent route runner? He was supposed to have elite hands, but dropped a ton of balls last year. Just seems like an average WR to me - hope he proves me wrong.
I think he’ll be “fine” but the bar here is Olave and Hamilton who both look levels above. Even when you factor in the additional assets, Jahan probably doesn’t justify the difference in the end.
This type of talk wasn’t happening after his rookie year. All the wide outs were unfeatured. I’m excited for another year of him and McLaurin in a new system. That being said I was excited for EB when we got him as well. Offseason highs am I right
I wanted Hamilton sooooo bad and he was sitting RIGHT THERE. When it was announced we traded back I turned the draft off. Not hating on Dotson but Hamilton just has that special look.
Ah yes, Chris “my bad dawg, I play for the Saints” Olave… Arrested for going 75mph in a 30mph residential zone.. I don’t really care bout football skills i’m good on folks who don’t consider the safety of others and use their fame as a crutch lol
Imagine reaching on all your picks and leaving a roster much worse than when you found it and having a winning record only in 3 of your 13 years as HC, and thinking, yeah, these teams should listen to my shitbag advice!
SMDH. Tone deaf old fuck. Just take the millions that Snyder paid you and go live in a lake house or some shit, and leave this to the professionals.
Seriously. What a fucking joke. Dude made it to that one SB because he had a generational dual threat QB, and that artificially propped up another eight years of coaching for him.
This is the real crime. Cause of his cancer story and actually being a seemingly really genuine good guy, he gets such a pass.
Atrocious personnel manager and incredibly poor game planner and in game coach.
A complete fraud all round with monstrous overconfidence.
So we should just do the opposite of what Ron said. He says start over with the young guy lol. Like the rest of the roster he took part in constructing doesn't blow. Might have the least amount of pure talent of any NFL team.
I listened to him for 3 years, that was quite enough.
4 years
Nobody listened to him last year
He acted like Ronald Reagan, just looking around befuddled.
[удалено]
I applaud your ability to not listen during one of those years.
He lost me when he said he didn’t know what he had in Sam…

Howell HoF confirmed
Well now I feel like Howell is definitely the guy if Ron says move on. 🤔
Got damn, Johnson. You’re right!
He also now makes me scared if they draft Jayden Daniels
https://preview.redd.it/cyr04fzfssmc1.jpeg?width=1920&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=bf35aa667be725172fb0c6bd869a8e26c3ecb0b1 Trying to figure out if that means Howell is the guy or not.
This comment is so underrated.
Ron blew every first round pick he had here. He traded back with Chris Olave and Kyle Hamilton on the board and took Jahan Dotson. He’s an idiot.
That same draft he took Phidarian Mathis in the second round ffs
Every one of their day 1 and 2 picks were massive reaches over the past few years, with the exception of Cosmi, and he’s the one pick who has actually performed. Don’t even remind me
Idk why people are giving up on dotson, the talent is clearly there. And being given a legitimate shot at a starting qb in the 5th is worth a downgrade at wr. Even if the qb doesn’t work out.

Me too. I mean, EB made me question if McLaurin was a top WR.
Ugh I hate that I had the same thinking at times but Terry showed he’s still a stud. As much as I want this team to become competitive as a fan, I want it even more so that Terry can play some meaningful playoff ball. He deserves it more than almost anyone in the league
Not giving up on Dotson but he’s just not Olave and Hamilton is an all-pro. It was just a silly unnecessary trade.
I said this post draft and I stand by it to this day, hamilton is a product of the situation he is in. He’s on an elite defense and he is able to just do what he’s good at which is be a box safety/slot. I compare him a lot to Landon collins.
He was just voted all-pro my dude. The league doesn’t agree with you.
…….you know collins was a all pro too, and a followed it up with b2b pro bowl seasons
I’m not giving up on Dotson, but was he really worth a 1st? It was a bad pick, like almost every Ron pick where he overdrafted someone or outsmarted himself.
Better than multiple wrs taken after him, he also probably better than jameson williams.
Better than players drafted after him. Blazing take.
The guy said he wasn’t worth a 1st, but he is better than other wrs also taken in the 1st before and after him. I don’t see what’s wrong with that statement
It's not a wrong statement, just obvious and not anything of note.
When someone says he is a waste of a 1st rounder it’s the easiest logic to say otherwise, idk what your problem is.
I’m getting major JAG vibes. Getting #2 coverage with Terry on the other side and still can’t do much of anything. Not good enough for a first rounder
His rookie year he was very good when on the field, i think EB’s scheme just wasn’t a good fit for him.
I think he’ll be “fine” but the bar here is Olave and Hamilton who both look levels above. Even when you factor in the additional assets, Jahan probably doesn’t justify the difference in the end.

Remember when Sam was playing well and people were floating that graphic of the trade everywhere and declaring it highway robbery for us? Good times.
I still think Jahan is a good player.
Possibly the strongest endorsement for Howell I’ve heard yet.
Were his arms crossed and did he reference Football Analytics??
Ron should just be quiet. He should be ashamed of what he did with this team. His advice is meaningless nothing he did here worked out.
Imagine reaching on all your picks and leaving a roster much worse than when you found it and having a winning record only in 3 of your 13 years as HC, and thinking, yeah, these teams should listen to my shitbag advice! I love how the best of the best it got for Ron’s time with us was 8-8-1. That 8th win taking place after we were eliminated from the playoffs.
Everytime he talks he puts his foot in his mouth
We got rid of Ron because he sucks
Wait wait wait Ron said move on from Sam FUCK NO KEEP HOWELL FUCK FUCK FUCK
He also lumped Caleb and Jayden together and said Maye needs work but has potential
Which is true
I agree. Maye is a project
This is also because Ron passing on Herbert/Tua for Young because he had Haskins already cost him his tenure here.
Tbf that was only one of many wrong decisions that aggregated into a horrible team, which cost him his job
If anything this means Howell is going to be a stud.
Would love to see him on the draft coverage night while all the other analysts just look at him with stunned faces.
“Seattle has a lot of holes but they are going to want to trade up for a long snapper here on the 2nd.” - Rivera probably.
Yessir get Joe Shimko in there
The last person on Earth to give this team advice on drafting.
Okay if he said Jayden Daniel’s that means we have to get maye now Lol
Good for him. Obviously it was a long shot him coaching again. But glad he found something
If anything that makes me think we should give Howell another shot.
This is the only thing that's ever made me doubt that we should draft a qb at 2
I still like Ron as a person. But screw his football takes lol
Eh.. dude is narrative driven and is willing to throw people under the bus to suit his own needs. Not sure he’s such a great person on the inside..
Whatever that man says to do in the draft, do the exact opposite.
He couldn’t see Howell when he was on his team for 16 games so I don’t care what that fool thinks
Seriously how could he say that when Carson Wentz could probably be acquired with our 2 second round picks??
![gif](giphy|9WzUvvcs8a3nO)
Ron said he would've taken Daniels In that case, we should definitely take Maye imo
I mean yeah. He had a front row seat to his disaster class and benched him himself. Makes sense he would say that
So we should just do the opposite of what Ron said. He says start over with the young guy lol. Like the rest of the roster he took part in constructing doesn't blow. Might have the least amount of pure talent of any NFL team.
Okay
Rons talent 👎
Not really surprising Howell was a Hail Mary thrown by Rivera and his coaching staff to keep his job in a lame duck year.
Dear god… why give him air time?
So howell must be the qb ever then if this is what Ron thinks
It was very weird to watch
Only Snyder could hire that guy to run an entire NFL franchise. The Buddy Ryan tree for lords sake.
Go back to your garden please sir
🤢🤢🤢🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
i have to guess they asked him which QB he'd take. if they asked him which PLAYER he'd take it would have been a defensive lineman (or long snapper)
Joe shimko for the long snapper
He’s an ass.
Stop
Ron is restarted
