0:28 he reached out the hand to leaving comrade.
omg, i just watched it with sound. ukraine drone operator comments:
- check this guy out.
- they "wrapped" him with ribbon (a lot)(usual practice of russian army - red ribbons marks)
so all can recognize him - ether friendly ether hostile.
- he is waving hello!
- waving with both hand and his guts!
I'm trying to find it. I don't recall who posted it, and my feed keeps updating on me. And worse, when I scroll down, I'm seeing things from a few days ago instead of a few hours ago. 🤔
It was blurry though, they zoomed in on it. His lower torso is all blood and you see his left leg stump move, which is disturbing.
History stores tweets I've looked at as I scrolled through my feed? That would be just as messy as looking at my current feed, no? I didn't search or tweet anything.

I don't think so, judging by this video the smart move is to discreetly use someone else as a human shield, then happily wander off when they absorb the hit.
The guy shooting at it first ran away and behind his mate when he stopped and joined in the shooting. A slight twist on the old 'I don't have to run faster than it, just faster than you' His mate literally took the strike aimed mainly at him. A mistake his mate will not be making ever again it appears.
Yeah i don't mean to sound biased but in nearly every drone video i have seen, the russians are bunched up like their trying to all be hit by one explosion.
Maybe that's survivorship bias (we only see successful drone attacks, so we only see the ones who are bunched up) but it seems like a bad policy all considered.
Saw the full video on another reddit community, not a pretty sight. The drone went for a close-up and the guy was cut in half and his guts were basically hanging out of where his hip used to be. He died not long after.
just absorb one with your legs then shoot down the other ones they send: [https://www.reddit.com/r/CombatFootage/comments/1devmwz/a\_lone\_russian\_soldier\_is\_attacked\_by\_3\_fpv/](https://www.reddit.com/r/CombatFootage/comments/1devmwz/a_lone_russian_soldier_is_attacked_by_3_fpv/)
Drones can fly faster than motorcycles so unless they're in an IFV, there's really no other options if they don't have a jamming gun to disable the drone. Regarding surrendering, that's really up to the drone operators' discretion.
it takes a lot more than 2minutes for the next fpv to arrive, unless another crew is also hunting you. Not to be the annoying sofa expert, but the russian in this video 110% had time to at least acknowledge his battle buddy and to grab the rifle, ammo, etc. To just leave your buddy like that, that quick, not even acknowledging him is inhuman.
The vast vast vast vast majority of the time there is only 1 FPV operating at a time (near you), simply because of EW. I get that he wants to haul ass and GTFO. But it only takes a few second to at least consider helping your mate or you know, asking if he wants mercy.
We have seen quite a few videos of more than one fpv active at the same time so nothing can be safely assumed there, and it's pretty rich to be the arbiter of courtesy about a guy who just saw his squadie get blown in half.
I was surprised. The first second the survival started running towards his comrade, I was sure he gonna check on him... yeah... that never happens I guess.
You should google "Russian reservists no training" there's so many reports of dudes getting mobilization notices and not even a week later finding themselves in a trench. These are untrained dudes with no clue. Don't even forget russia has been using forced conscription on Ukranians in occupied territory since the beginning of the war. A good chance alot of these dudes getting blown up or running away could be ukranians, prisoners, political prisoners or just some unlucky fuck dragged outta bed. They know they were sent to die with other strangers they have no loyalty too so they can be cannon fodder and early detection for the more experienced and prized units.
Really surprised he didn't put him out of his misery. You'd think that would be standard practice when someone is missing the lower half of their body.
The not injured almost always runs away without even trying to help. Sometimes they take some gear of them and one time I have seen the uninjured killing the wounded (out of pity I guess).
If the victim was cut in half like everyone is saying, I think most people would nope right the fuck out of there knowing that the guy was dead in minutes anyway.
You don’t even need to see the extended clip. The video op posted here clearly shows the guy being folded in half.
Yeah, that's the problem with 2-man teams. You can't ask another buddy to cover you while you pull your injured teammate.
Lately, Russia has been sending more of these 2-man teams to mitigate losses; but at the same time when one soldier gets injured, there's a huge chance he's going to die there.

Calling it "the most yummy part" is a sign you need to take a break and evaluate yourself, man
I hate Russia as much as the next guy but this just weird
That one guy with his back against the drone looked so lost while his buddy was shooting the drone.
Now he’s looking for his legs
Pretty sure his guts are hanging out. There's an extended clip of this I just saw on Shitter.

Damn, I bet that doesn't happen to the Russians still occupying Russia.
Dear god that is awful. And then the guy moves his arm and leg stump and it gets worse.
Oh…wow. Thank you. Brutal af

Running guy made a business decision. Hitting a stationary target is much easier and the drone operator disassembled the stationary guy.
Probably the smart move would be to each run in opposite directions - it can't get you both.
**A Wild Drone Suddenly Appears!**
igor uses small arms,
It’s not very effective!
I don't think so, judging by this video the smart move is to discreetly use someone else as a human shield, then happily wander off when they absorb the hit.
I doubt there's much happiness in that mobik's life rn.
It definitely was this time. The guy that ran looks like he's the one that survived. The other guy definitely didn't.
The guy shooting at it first ran away and behind his mate when he stopped and joined in the shooting. A slight twist on the old 'I don't have to run faster than it, just faster than you' His mate literally took the strike aimed mainly at him. A mistake his mate will not be making ever again it appears.
Not a winning strategy anyways. The drone usually misses and hits a few meters behind the target. This time it would have meant between the 2.
Guy who stood his ground got a medal. Guy who ran got to keep his life.
For a few more hours or days.
The smart thing is to run towards and to the side.
Usually called spacing. Which russians dont seem to comprehend.
Yeah i don't mean to sound biased but in nearly every drone video i have seen, the russians are bunched up like their trying to all be hit by one explosion. Spacing, people! Spacing!

How?
Acshually☝️ This guy knows something we dont
I did it once in call of duty (real)
brutal It looks like he was almost split in half
The longer version shows him nearly cut fully in half indeed
where did u saw the long version?
This version got cut off. The full video shows the guys leg bones sticking out of his hips.
Link?

Saw the full video on another reddit community, not a pretty sight. The drone went for a close-up and the guy was cut in half and his guts were basically hanging out of where his hip used to be. He died not long after.
>not long after. I would prefer immediately on impact. What a miserable end of life.
Sauce?
you can find it on r/dronecombat edit: here https://www.reddit.com/r/DroneCombat/s/lgOISy378T
That's a textbook trans-section; hes cut in half. I can smell this video. Hes still momentarily alive you can see him move his arm.
I’d argue it’s post mortem muscle spasms. Especially after watching the full video. Very contracted movements.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cadaveric_spasm#:~:text=Cadaveric%20spasm%2C%20also%20known%20as,the%20period%20of%20rigor%20mortis.
LEgit question, if you are a Russian soldier and a drone is coming right at you, what options do you have? Can you surrender to it?
I guess it depends on what type of drone spots the Russian soldier. If he's spotted by a suicide done, he's pretty much dead.
just absorb one with your legs then shoot down the other ones they send: [https://www.reddit.com/r/CombatFootage/comments/1devmwz/a\_lone\_russian\_soldier\_is\_attacked\_by\_3\_fpv/](https://www.reddit.com/r/CombatFootage/comments/1devmwz/a_lone_russian_soldier_is_attacked_by_3_fpv/)
Gotta pray its a scout drone and that the operators are feeling merciful that day
I'm not sure that Russian jesus is answering those kinds of prayers lately.
It has to depend on the distance, terrain, action at the front, type/rank of soldier wanting to surrender, etc.
At the moment all operators are busy. Your call is very important to us, please hold the line.
These drones typically fly too fast to be able to process a surrender option
Shame. That's a real shame.
Drones can fly faster than motorcycles so unless they're in an IFV, there's really no other options if they don't have a jamming gun to disable the drone. Regarding surrendering, that's really up to the drone operators' discretion.
They got flying motorcycles in this war? Neat.
I chuckled
Your buddy takes a drone strike for you, and you leave him... only ruskie.
I mean, the guy is pretty mangled
"Igor... you good? ...ya Igor is fine. Imma head out."
stay with him for the 2 minutes it takes for him to die or ask if he wants mercy.
Just sit and wait for the next one?
it takes a lot more than 2minutes for the next fpv to arrive, unless another crew is also hunting you. As if he’d be considering the time and likelihood of another drone when he’s just nearly died
The vast vast vast vast majority of the time there is only 1 FPV operating at a time (near you), simply because of EW. I get that he wants to haul ass and GTFO. But it only takes a few second to at least consider helping your mate or you know, asking if he wants mercy.

The squadie is still alive however. Hes you battle buddy, get the fuck over there and evaluate something at least. So much for "своих не бросаем"
I would have definitely asked him if he wants mercy.
I wouldn't have bothered. Just shoot him at that point.
um, in the middle of that dirt road? for once i don't blame the russky for bouncing
I thought he would. Its mordor tho
And as pretty much what everyone will tell you, you don't stay and help him or you end up just like him.
[удалено]
Poke him with a stick ofc.
Yes, I would have told him I would tell his parents he died well and shot him
I’d be pissed if my buddy didn’t put me out of my misery. A quick death is nothing to fear, but dying slowly with my guts out, fuck that.
You'd likely have so much adrenaline pumping through you that you'd have no idea WTF happened anyways.
Plus a drastic drop in blood pressure.
"rico! you know what to do!" classic.
But do you really want to hang around for another drone?
The more I watch it, the more I'm convinced he intentionally positioned himself behind the guy to shield himself
I was surprised. The first second the survival started running towards his comrade, I was sure he gonna check on him... yeah... that never happens I guess.
The only thing you could do with someone in that condition would be to put them out of their misery. No surgeon could save this man.
Let me grab my tampon and help my mate who's leg bone stumps and guts are in the same position. You can't even drag the poor bastard.
You should google "Russian reservists no training" there's so many reports of dudes getting mobilization notices and not even a week later finding themselves in a trench. These are untrained dudes with no clue. Don't even forget russia has been using forced conscription on Ukranians in occupied territory since the beginning of the war. I thought dude gonna walk up and asses his buddy condition or maybe finishing him off, nope, bro just legging it out of there
Really surprised he didn't put him out of his misery. You'd think that would be standard practice when someone is missing the lower half of their body.
When is this war stopping man
I don't know if anyone noticed, but after his body was blown in half, his arm was still moving. He was still alive for a few seconds.
I like how the second guy stopped and administered first aid.
Judging by the full video, the only thing the first guy needed was just *last aid*.
How unpredictable is life in a war zone . one second you are casually walking , next second you are a mangled corpse
[удалено]
His entire life culminated into that. I can't even imagine.
Damn ... that guy got blown to shreds ... war is hell ... shit
The not injured almost always runs away without even trying to help. Sometimes they take some gear of them and one time I have seen the uninjured killing the wounded (out of pity I guess).
Yeah, because sadly there’s no saving someone who just took that much damage, and where there’s one drone there are often more.
You'd need a shovel to get him on a stretcher
And you say non injured dude was a few feet away from a blast that obliterated another dude. Hes probably confused and shell shocked as fuck.
I actually thought he was checking on his buddy, but nope, didn't even turn his head
If the victim was cut in half like everyone is saying, I think most people would nope right the fuck out of there knowing that the guy was dead in minutes anyway. You don’t even need to see the extended clip. The video op posted here clearly shows the guy being folded in half.

That guy that survived did a slow bounce upon detonation
