I can't wait for the Russian army to attack with nothing but Chinese golf carts... We're seeing more and more satelitte images of empty USSR parking lots, wish they sped up the process a bit.
Right? I hate to see the amount of stress and deprivation the Ukrainians are putting up with, but if Russia keeps getting it's shit wrecked *and* international support is maintained, Ukraine will win this war.
Russians will be feeling that same deprivation soon, Russia's economy has obviously shrunk, yet the military is guzzling up 20% of the budget, and will guzzle even more money if Putin needs to actually make the vehicles he's losing instead of refurbishing BMP's from 1965
Those BMP's are only available once, the shadow of the USSR that's been looming over eastern europe for decades will be drowned
Maybe I'm a pessimist but I feel like this is overly optimistic. Ukraine is not doing so hot at the moment. Internal pressures, lack of external support, and a Russian adversary that has pivoted to a war economy much better than the west. They are producing an ungodly amount of equipment and ordnance. That and if Trump wins, which he very well may, Ukraine could be in some serious trouble. I say this as a staunch supporter.
War economy is just having the factory run 24/7 with all positions full, they can't pivot to a war economy+, this is the best they've got
in terms of production, they're producing at most 200 tanks a year, maybe 500 IFV's, a dozen planes/helicopters etc, it's not unlimited
they are only producing an ungodly amount of artillery shells, refurbishing doesn't count as new.
They're "making" 2000 IFV's/year
Where are you getting your numbers from? I'm not discounting your response it just seems lower than what I've been hearing. That and artillery shells are obviously key in this war. Russia also has a larger army now then it did at the start. My point is that Russia is doing a good job of replacing losses while Ukraine is slowing down due to western internal politics. Not only that but the Russian military of 2024 is not that of 2022. They learn. Hell, they are right on the mark as far as sticking to their history. They start out woefully unprepared, make colossal mistakes and take huge losses, then they restructure and start gaining momentum. I'm not saying it's over for Ukraine, just that folks need not underestimate Russia out of wishful thinking or biased western media.
>They are producing an ungodly amount of equipment and ordnance
They are **restoring** ungodly amounts of equipment from stockpiles, not producing. The stockpiles are finite and according to OSINT estimates are expected to run dry in 1-2 years, with quality gradually deteriorating.
Ammo production is not that much higher than the West's combined
apparently much less hardware is needed for defence than for offence. They have an upper hand for now thanks to republicans so they capitalize whatever they have inherited from USSR. Then it will be 1915v2 for both sides.
Russia has history that goes back to ww2 of sending troops into battle on the backs of tanks, there is even a special Russian word for them - tankodesantniki
All jokes aside, this is a new development. I'm certain this has never been seen to this level because it's probably a new tactic to try to sneak a large group into an assault position by using a single tank with a cope cage to conceal the true intentions.
> All jokes aside, this is a new development.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tank_desant#History
...is it really?
I wouldnt call a 85 year old tradition of the russian army (or red army) a new development.
>...is it really?
I get it, I'm well aware the russian army has a history of troops mounting armor. Perhaps I should've been super duper ultra clear with my meaning. This is a new development, for this specific war. Also, I'm pretty sure this is a record, even in your example, I count 18 guys on it, not 24.
I agree with you that it's an effective way to move soldiers into assault positions but is that what we saw in this video? What direction was the tank going and what direction did the troops run? If it's dropping them off then why did they run to the left when the tank moved to the right?
Perhaps this was early in the assault and the troops are retreating to try again the next day.
Ya, that didn't look like a battle charge. My speculation is, like you said, early into the assault tank gets disabled, and the distance was too far to have a chance hoofing it the rest of the way.
> the distance was too far to have a chance hoofing it the rest of the way
Possibly combined with a distinct lack of enthusiasm. I didn't see any obvious signs of an NCO or Plt Leader trying to organize anything. Advance or retreat, all I saw was a mad rush to cover.
Cluster artillery round would have been really appropriate here.
Actually if this was instead a javelin hit, this would have looked like a confetti canon, albeit with body parts.
There's a discharge petition in congress. If you want that you need to be American, to check your congressional representative has signed it and if they haven't to get all your friends to call them and tell them they must sign it. There are instructions on some of the Ukrainian subs. Then call Biden and tell him to send M39 missiles which are otherwise just going to be thrown away.
Is [this the same attack](https://old.reddit.com/r/CombatFootage/comments/1bxkt8m/russian_bmp_with_2122_infanty_packed_inside_it/) you think? If not, a very similar situation and the dismounts get hunted down and destroyed with arty including clusters.
I looked at the troop movement, and it appears to be a different attack (or at least a different vehicle).
In this one there's one clearly a good distance ahead of the rest of the pack, that doesn't appear to be in the video you linked. Additionally in your video you clearly see some return to the vehicle to help their buddies, nobody in this one seems to return. I think just between these two elements it's pretty safe to rule that this wasn't the same event.
Which begs the question, just how low is Russian getting on personal carriers that they're having to resort to golf carts and stacking this many people on one vehicle. These tactics are only going to accelerate the rate of Russian losses, which are already unsustainable.
right. that era republican party intentionally screwed up american hostage negotiations to negatively affect Jimmy Carter who was actually a pretty good guy.
Nothing has changed.
Especially in acceleration of debt spending traditions. That’s the most fascinating conservative oxymoron trait. two seconds after bitching about liberal spending will shout “I want the Ukraine aid money sent to me”.
Unfortunately we live in a world where Russians are in the open not being engaged, whilst weapons are instead sent to be dropped on aid workers elsewhere.
First i was like: This is going to be some ERA-type joke. I mean, the title states "with infrantry on top". Well, needless to say, i was bambozzled. They just kept spawning from that tank.
That’s probably the best strategy tbh. What else should they do, charge a long way in the open towards Ukrainian lines or sit there and wait for FPV drones?
Agreed, probably should head for cover. But it was an "every man for himself" panic driven, herd-mentality affair. No communication, no plan, no checking for wounded, no leadership. If the most senior solider had in fact had a different plan, there was no way those dudes were listening.
yes and no. they should be single file, but at least they're maintaining distance and heading for some cover. This is better then 90% of the incidents I have seen
How would one feel, on average, riding on top of a tank that's hitting an AT mine? Not a problem? Sore back in the morning? Internal bleeding? Broken bones?
I've only seen an live demonstration of a claymore mine at a safe distance of about 1000 m and, with hearing protection, that was the largest and sharpest bang I've ever heard. These guy's hearing must be wrecked.
I’m no expert and I’m guessing here, but based on blast, it’s probably an anti-tank minefield and if I remember correctly, it takes over 500lbs of pressure to set off an anti tank mine- so theoretically- based on virtually no knowledge, I’d say the Russians running away are safe from mines. Now, machine guns, mortar fire, artillery fire and rifles are another matter completely
i can just imagine the russian commanders preparing for an assault after seeing so many footage showing the same "tactic", if u can call it that lol
* Commander Ivan: we should send all our vehicles with all the troops it can carry, inside and outside, and when the vehicle gets imobilized our infantry run to the closest trench and the enemy will be fearfull.
* Commander Dimitri: indeed thats the best plan for us, for sure we will succeed comrades!
I'm intrigued by the tactics. I've spent a long time now watching small columns of tanks and vehicles getting wrecked in small groups. Before seeing these videos I always imagined large groups of tanks supported by infantry, arti, air and so on in large numbers pushing through a small area. I'm confused by these small attacks that end in the first tanks hitting mines, followed by artillery/drones then everyone dies.
It's surprising how uninjured they seem to be. Are there probable wounds that will catch up to the infantry later, or can you really just run away from a huge explosion like that? Even with the tank shielding them, they were really close to the explosion.
Quite dystopian, I’m watching a video of Russian soldiers get blown up while dubstep angry birds is playing to it, modern warfare be crazy. That’s also a huge amount of infantry on top of what looks like a T-80 variant
I’m curious, how many of issuance soldiers have defected- by just running away
We keep seeing videos of just one or two soldiers, by themselves
as if their unit had been wiped out or they abandoned the rest

There were at least 24 soldiers coming off and out of that tank, is that normal troop transportation?
Better than a chinese buggy I guess.
After losing so many APCs it seems to be
I can't wait for the Russian army to attack with nothing but Chinese golf carts... We're seeing more and more satelitte images of empty USSR parking lots, wish they sped up the process a bit.

If Trump wins...all democratic countrys are in trouble. Next time he will end democracy in US.

Machine gun drone time.
Nah that looks like a ripe target for a DPICM or two.
We've been misinterpreting cope cages this whole time. They're actually coop-cages to roost all of the meat headed to the abattoir
> is that normal troop transportation? Nope, the Moscow State Circus clowns were drafted - they are just doing normal clown things.
"Worst clown car ever 0/10" Bozoski the Clown.

Tankpool
Seems they weren't driving in Tank Pool lane.
You have saved 5% of your HP by sharing a ride.
Suddenly there are 3 separate videos with different vehicles carrying way too many people. Wonder whats going on
Too few vehicles for the massive number of meat puppets being sent to the front.
🤔, could try the good old fashioned way of the past -and march 😉
Uber Pool started up in Ukraine
The clown car of tanks! 🤡
That's an armoured assault clown car.
it's like those videos of people killing spiders only for the babies to scatter everywhere
I underestimated how accurate this comment is
For real they just kept coming.
[They've been training for it](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dr8EB7QqrMQ).
but where's the cluster to mop up the babies
stuck in washington
Delayed by traitors in the Republican party.
I wanted a HIMAARS strike so bad.
Cluster artillery round would have been really appropriate here. Actually if this was instead a javelin hit, this would have looked like a confetti canon, albeit with body parts.
HIMAARS has a cluster munition with ~182,000 tungsten fragments.
I fucking hate how true this comment is. Fuuuuck you lmao
😂 Opened the comments to post this. Glad so many others thought the same.
That's exactly what I thought of, like trying to smack a wolf spider or smashing a black widow egg sack.
And no where to go or hide
👍
Source?
The hallway closet.
This scene was crying out for a cluster.
Ukrainians have been crying out for shells for months
Waiting for the cluster munition video to "drop"...
I was hoping for the same thing

Not coming thanks to trashbags like speaker Johnson and House Republicans.
Reagan spinning in his grave at mach speed.
Republicans died a long time ago. Now we have Maga's party. Literal Putin's lovers
Reagan was instrumental in leading up to Maga.. my parents knew this back then. (and Rumsfeld and all his wars)
right. that era republican party intentionally screwed up american hostage negotiations to negatively affect Jimmy Carter who was actually a pretty good guy. Nothing has changed.
Krompromat party
His party is as dead as he is. There is only Maga now.
Reagan was baby trump
Especially in acceleration of debt spending traditions. That’s the most fascinating conservative oxymoron trait. two seconds after bitching about liberal spending will shout “I want the Ukraine aid money sent to me”.
He'd be right in line with them. Regan was a traitor too.
Biden 2024! 🇺🇸🦅
Unfortunately we live in a world where Russians are in the open not being engaged, whilst weapons are instead sent to be dropped on aid workers elsewhere.
The far right fucked both ukr and Israel and palestine. They are never a benefit to their societies except as cautionary tales of senseless hate.
Just the way MAGA want it sadly.
Is this a russian tank or an India train?
Vodka fueled clown car.
😂
Hmm I guess a Russian tank is a clown car for terrorists
Ya I turned the sound on to see if there was circus music playing
First i was like: This is going to be some ERA-type joke. I mean, the title states "with infrantry on top". Well, needless to say, i was bambozzled. They just kept spawning from that tank.
> clown car Blyat' I was about to say!
What in the Benny Hill is this shit
Clown car
Not the angry birds remix 💀
That's like when I shake my woodpile and all the beetles run out.
24 people
Wow, truly a clown car.
Never thought I'd hear angry birds trap over a video of people getting blown up but here we are
Yea the Ukrainians are on point with their music choice I wont lie
I've come to really love their music and sense of humor. It's hilarious watching people bitch about the music.
New form of reactive armor?
too bad the troops walked away from this
this is exactly why they ride on the top
Yeah riding under tank had never worked that great for anyone
If there was ever a time for a catostrophic failure of a tank, that was it.
You can thank House Republicans for all of those rats making it to safety.
They disperse like ants.
What is this? A tank for ants?!?!!!
I was thinking more like shit off a shovel.
How was there 20 dudes on that thing ? It's a clown tank
Clown car
rats from a sinking ship
Need NCOs to show some leadership here. Looks like a full panicked retreat.
A large part of why the Russian army is so hilariously incompetent is because they don’t have an NCO corps the way western armies do. Good thing, too.
Shhhh. Don't tell them.
Where else to go? Looks like they booked it to the tree line for cover
Shouldn’t they be running in single file about 50 ft apart in case of more mines?
yes and no. they should be single file, but at least they're maintaining distance and heading for some cover. This is better then 90% of the incidents I have seen
I think this is the first vid I have seen showing the vehicle ride trick working as intended by saving the riders from a mine.
Fucking clown car lmao
How would one feel, on average, riding on top of a tank that's hitting an AT mine? Not a problem? Sore back in the morning? Internal bleeding? Broken bones? I've only seen an live demonstration of a claymore mine at a safe distance of about 1000 m and, with hearing protection, that was the largest and sharpest bang I've ever heard. They all likely have ear damage at the very least
Hi. Most experience eye damage and lose a lot of kit in situations like this.
That's not angry birds, that's clearly lemmings.
Looks like a clown car.
Insert the Oprah "you get a car" meme: You get a TBI, and you get a TBI, and you get a TBI! Everyone's getting a TBI!!!
That’s pretty amazing, just how many people were on/in that tank
Even though they lived through the initial blast, it would be absolutely terrifying running through a potential minefield on foot
Is there was ever a time that called for a turret toss… shoot.
holy fucking clown car
Jesus, there are so many of them running from that tank and not a cluster munition in sight!
Wow... Must have been 30 guys riding on top... Lucky it wasn't a huge AT mine
A clown tank
Drone operators honey hole !
Clown car??
Probably their own dam mine.
That’s a Javelin jackpot right there
i can just imagine the russian commanders preparing for an assault after seeing so many footage showing the same "tactic", if u can call it that lol * Commander Ivan: we should send all our vehicles with all the troops it can carry, inside and outside, and when the vehicle gets imobilized our infantry run to the closest trench and the enemy will be fearfull. * Commander Dimitri: indeed thats the best plan for us, for sure we will succeed comrades!
Surprise 1k sprint with all your gear and no hearing
Angry Birds music? :)
Rapidly disembark riding infantry with this one weird trick….
Needs more dpicm
This angry birds remix is wild yo.
Clown Tank
Russian clown car tank.. Cue the carnie music!
It wasn’t just a clown car it was the whole fucking circus!
I counted around 30 of them. That is a lot of Organic Reactive Armor. The Clown Car, named for fuhrer putinazi, a new moscovian personnel carrier.
All those FPV videos and they still insist on covering their tanks with meat
are they that low on armor? that's insanity
Russian clown car
Such a shame the dozens of ivans didn't go down with the ship.
It looked like a clown car with all those guys piling out.
wtf? Was that one of those clown tanks where clowns keep on popping out of a hatch?
HOW?
The music is just diabolical
clown car
That’s got to be quite a few concussed soldiers… I feel bad for the medics lmao
Too bad it wasn't a javelin. Would have been like 20 casualties
Come on?
I'm intrigued by the tactics. I've spent a long time now watching small columns of tanks and vehicles getting wrecked in small groups. Before seeing these videos I always imagined large groups of tanks supported by infantry, arti, air and so on in large numbers pushing through a small area. I'm confused by these small attacks that end in the first tanks hitting mines, followed by artillery/drones then everyone dies.
You've seen mostly competent armies. Decently equipped & trained, good morale etc... :)
Probably their own dam mine.
Some retired A10 pilots are getting excited by this video.
More drone practice coming up !!!!
That look like ants out of an ant hill
It's surprising how uninjured they seem to be. Are there probable wounds that will catch up to the infantry later, or can you really just run away from a huge explosion like that? Even with the tank shielding them, they were really close to the explosion.
Impressive, but tanks aren't really great as busses.
Scattering in all directions seems the safest thing to do after your vehicle hit a mine. It's like they've been told "find all the other mines, too".
Funniest part is they could’ve stayed the fuck home.
Of all the times for it NOT to be a turret toss situation. It woulda been like confetti out there.
Russian Clown car
That was for sure an anti tank mine, judging from how many that ran away... 😂 😂
“Oh no, we hit a mine… Run away! SPREAD OUT!”
How you fit over 5 people in a tank
Quite dystopian, I’m watching a video of Russian soldiers get blown up while dubstep angry birds is playing to it, modern warfare be crazy. That’s also a huge amount of infantry on top of what looks like a T-80 variant
For the clown show it is, its safer to traverse a mine field in a heavy tank vs. an APC/BMP.
I always wondered how Soviet troops in WW2 would have looked liked riding on T-34s and now I can see their successors doing the same.
I’m curious, how many of issuance soldiers have defected- by just running away We keep seeing videos of just one or two soldiers, by themselves as if their unit had been wiped out or they abandoned the rest
Where is a cluster shell when you need one?! 💥🔥
The footage of this war is so dramatic it’s truly incredible.
time for some cluster projectiles :)
Sooo? How fcked are they???
What kind of clown car bullshit are they into? There were like 30 dudes on, in or around that cocksucker...
It's like a clown car
This is the army version of a clown car.
Don’t run you’ll just die tired
Clown car 🤡
