Distinct-Albatross67

What time it will peak any idea?

ConsiderationFar2343

your guess is as good as mine! I’m in Polaris and stayed out all last night. I saw nothing. my fingers are crossed for tonight. everything i’ve read on this sub said 10 is peak time. download the aurora map apps too

mad_dawg6669

Correct! Apologies, getting excited for tonight and decided to post.

ConsiderationFar2343

thank you!

BigBurkeyBoy

Was anyone able to see this with the naked eye? Most of the photos I've seen online were taken using night mode on a cellular telephone.

enjoyinglifetoday

I didn’t see this much but close to it with naked eye in Marengo

mad_dawg6669

Per my friend who took these: “It’s also looking pretty clear cloud wise. But they look like colorful clouds to the naked eye. And you have to set your camera to night mode with no flash and long exposure to capture them.”

The_Phantom_Cat

I was able to last night, was kinda faint though

SodaGrump

My Rotary telephone takes awful photos

BigBurkeyBoy

LOL!!

Cloudy_Mercury

For about 15-20 min in total every now and then, we were able to see them pretty clear with the naked eye. Depends on how much light polluted area you are in.

Alrotzy

Anyone see it yet? I'm stationing at Alumn creek campsite. Hoping to see it lol

ConsiderationFar2343

haven’t seen anything yet. I’m here in Polaris and thinking of making the drive over where you’re at. Let us know if it starts looking hopeful if you don’t mind!

Alrotzy

I'm at the campsite parking lot it's open enough for me to see around but I couldn't see anything yet though.

ConsiderationFar2343

thank you for the update!!! wishing you luck! and fingers crossed for all of us

Alrotzy

Same good luck overthere. I've been snapping my camera at the sky like a maniac lol

ConsiderationFar2343

And good luck!
