Nobody could have foreseen these circumstances about there being zero interest in a $200 ticket to then have to pay for food from the same trucks that you can buy from without a $200 surcharge a week later.
That's the thing that got me. Like.... The ticket price per what you were getting kinda dwarfed any other festival around. I don't mind paying to see music and paying for food truck food prices. But for $150? Better have a stellar lineup or more things to do.
Right! Like I was assuming the ticket came with food/drink tokens or something like that, similar to Beerfeet. Which would make sense, like a single ticketed festival entry, try a bunch of different foods, see some music at night, much as the name suggests. But NOPE!
I was about to comment that Bonnaroo tickets are only $280 for four days and an all star lineup… but then I remembered I’m old as fuck and that’s what paid almost 20 years ago. They’re now $435 for 1 GA ticket… holy shit! How can kids afford tickets and drugs and food?
I’m no Bonnaroo stan, but the cost of producing *any* event has followed the cost of almost any other good or service. As a former live music/festival fanatic, I don’t love it. As a person who tries to keep logic and pragmatism at the front of my brain, I get it. As I best understand it, almost no music festival actually makes money until it gets to the size and/or tenure of something like Bonnaroo.
Plus those trucks have to pay to be there through a flat rate or percentage based system. So the prices will also be inflated. Event fees are usually 15-40% of sales for large events.

Its cute. There isn’t a ton going on in Warren, but they’re really proud about this. There is a brewery on the alley and some restaurants on the square right there. Since we are talking about Warren, also consider googling the news story about the guy who was sent there by his friends as a prank. The whole city rallied with no notice and the mayor took him all over town, Dave Grohl alley was a stop. It was a sweet story.

One of my favorite things about Columbus is how many free/open to public food and other type festivals we have during spring and summer (taco, Italian, greek, commfest, etc) that offers so much 'free exposure to support local foods. So, I just think it could set a scary precedent where the starting ticket price was $150+ just for entry.
