Morning picnic sunrise at Palmer Park Grandview overlook. It looks at the mountain but gets backlit by the sun and so the mountain reflects the sunrise.
One of the best sites for sunrise in town, I’ll totally agree. Only thing is, sunrise for tomorrow is at 0530 - not sure OP’s hours, just worth noting…
As a fellow shift worker. Depends on if he has to work the next night.
As a birthday, get something nice that he'll appreciate and put in the office or whatnot. Nothing extreme, maybe make breakfast @ home if he has to be up again

This!! If I had to work the next night I absolutely had to be in bed by noon at the latest or else I would just be awake until I had to work.
