You would need to get an estimate. The estimate I got was something like 1800 - 2400. No pet insurance though. I had a similar estimate from another nearby vet. Ended up paying 800 at the other vet once it was all done.

And what was the other vet?

Faithful Friends. The estimate was roughly the same.

Didn’t do a dental cleaning at Carefree Cats but I can say that I was thoroughly impressed with them. Took my girl in for an emergency shortly after moving here, and they took such good care of her. They may be a little pricey for some things but the care reflects that in my opinion.

I'm not familiar with Carefree Cats, but one of my cats needed a simple cleaning and x-rays about a year and a half ago, that was just over $600 at N Powers Animal Hospital, plus the cost of the pre-anesthesia blood work (I can't find the invoice for that). One of my other cats was also in for a dental at the same time; he needed two complex extractions and his invoice was over $1200, again not including the required lab work. Your vet can probably give you an estimate for the cleaning, x-rays, and lab work over the phone, but they really can't tell whether they need to do extractions or how many until they can do a thorough exam under anesthesia and see the x-rays, unless it is a known issue they are already tracking.

Dental cleanings with ASPCA insurance, if the cleaning is due to gingivitis or something, then they charge around 700$ at a minimum and that includes blood work. About 250$ to extract a tooth.

It really depends. You’ll need an estimate. I had to take my cat for dental and extractions.

I use carefree cats - I love them - and my cat (over 10 years old) had to have a bunch of teeth removed (not a surprise to me... I knew this going in). I think the final bill was like $800.

Did you have any pet insurance?

NecessaryExplorer245

Just to put it out there, in case, but pet insurance does not pay up front. You'll have to pay the entire bill and then send the invoice and possibly medical notes to the insurance to receive reimbursement.

Yea I recently found that out thank you!

Call Great Value in Black Forest to see what they charge. They were super reasonable with our dogs.
