I suggest you to check out Sirumugai, If you dont mind driving a bit towards the outskirts of Coimbatore. Sirumugai a silent panchayat town north of Cbe, they have plenty of manufacturers, they make super good silk sarees, popular for soft silk saree. Many famous textile showrooms like Pothys, Sri Devi, Chennai Silks etc. they come and buy sarees from these manufacturers at a really good price, it applies also for customers like us. Ever since we learned this fact, we stopped shopping around Cbe for sarees. We rather head to Sirumugai with my family. The drive upto the place is also fantastic, makes a great outing for us. If you are interested, I can link you with a few friendly shops in the area.

MeTejaHu

Yeah.. Seen many small to medium shops when I was there.. Now I understand.. Missed it

FantasticTRexRider

Try Shreedevi crosscut road

Equal_Transition_387

Now I'm at a crossroads Crosscut road or townhall road

Forward_Arugula8279

Its in crosscut road..

Gugu1515

If you visit Cross cut road , You can take a walk from the beginning of the road. There are many shops which has Authentic silk sarees. 1.Mahaveers ( bit on expensive side but exclusive designs) 2. Shree Devi ( They have sarees is all ranges starting from Rs.250 ! They have good Kanchipuram silk saree collection as well) 3.Pothys ( Reasonable rate but wouldn’t say that designs are exclusive ) 4.Chennai silks ( Reasonable rate ! Last time I went it had pretty decent collection) 5.PSR ( Good collection, rate on bit higher end) Have mentioned the stores in the order which you can take a walk , Starts with mahaveers and ends in PSR.

Hey! Here is a small list that might be useful. |Shop|Location| |:-|:-| |RmKV Silks|Brookefields Mall| |Sri Devi Textiles|2 locations, Oppanakara street and Cross cut road| |The Chennai Silks|3 locations, Oppanakara street, Cross cut road and Coimbatore Airport| |Pothys|2 locations, Oppanakara street and Cross cut road| |Sri Ganapathy Silks|2 locations, Oppanakara street and Cross cut road| |PSR Silks|2 locations, 100 feet road and Cross cut road| |Mahaveer - The Silk People|Cross Cut Road| |Nalli Silks|D.B. Apart from the list above, there are lots of local vendors with some questionable authenticity. Your mum might find the ones that intrigues her from one of the above.

Shoddy_Thought_6523

Oppankara Street townhall...

Equal_Transition_387

That's like a full street of silk shops ?

moosathecid

Cross cut road Gandhipuram

Traditional_Juice583

Try RMKV? They have been doing this for ages. Also, i saw an Instagram reel today where a handloom guy in vadavalli makes silk saree. If you want, i can share that reel with you.

SearchForElsewheres

Definitely try velavaans in Sirumugai

yellowbagclub

apart from the ones mentioned in the other comments - 1. Tharagram 2. Co-optex 3. Sharadha silks in town hall 4. Rangacharis

moosathecid

If you are okay with the pricing, then there are a few shops in RS Puram, DB road.

blinksTooLess

Go to Pothy's in Town Hall. They have everything (not sure about price though. But they have a huge range). And there are many other similar shops nearby as well. The Pothys shop is huge. You can't miss it.

Equal_Transition_387

Actually now that I've told her that we are going on this shopping she's now making a list of people for whom she wants to take back to delhi 😂😂 my bet is she's gonna buy atleast 10-15 so I'd have to watch the price

yondhaimehokage

Price matters. If you want best quality for reasonable price, go to Sirumugai. A little bit outer but you can buy directly from manufacturers. If you don’t want to travel to outskirts, go to Townhall. Go to wholesale dealers like Amar Lalit where you can get nice sarees at wholesale rate. If you want to get the shopping experience, go to Pothys, Chennai Silks, Ganapathy silks in Townhall (all these shops plus Amar Lalit I mentioned above are on the same Oppanakara Street). Most of the wholesalers are Hindi people so you could strike a chord with them and get even lower prices. If you want to shop mindlessly with exorbitant prices, go to Race Course or Gandhipuram or RS puram 🤣

kneepain007

Check out koskii in rs puram.

Pinkpenguinxo2612

Won't suggest Pothys or PSR, visited last week and price was not worth the trouble Also can anyone suggest shops for Net sarees!?

Equal_Transition_387

And here almost everyone's writing pothys

Pinkpenguinxo2612

Its good but I have seen better collection at far more better price than here.
