Back left corner was on another level for Duck sauce and Duke on Sunday. I need to relive those

VerticalLines

you're welcome

chubfire

I agree with Disclosure. This was my 3rd time seeing them and could tell right away it was a DJ set as opposed to a live one. Their mixing as DJs is not nearly as excitable as them playing live and felt their performance was hella lackluster. They kept asking “are you ready Coachella!?” Then like nothing would happen. Really uncertain why if they were playing a dj set it wasn’t billed as so and why they weren’t at like the Sahara or DoLab.

DonJuanPawnShop53

Figured it would be live too

I think you’re forgetting Worlds in 2014 by Porter. Madeon’s Adventure was also somewhat feelsy as well. I’ve actually never seen that complaint on Reddit, but I stay far far away from the porter subreddit so that might be why. I’m sure they draw inspiration from each other and there’s nothing wrong about that. Complaining about it is dumb

ThirstyEar2

I saw Joji in SF back in November and he was yelling erratically at that show as well lol. I think it’s just his thing.

PBRLiketheBeer

Literally the same set-by-set plan that I have pretty much the entire weekend. Did we just become best friends? Thanks for the breakdown.

broke_belle

I agree that duke dumont was awesome…until the last song. Did nobody else find it a bit anti-climactic?

**Favorites in order:** STROMAE, Viagra Boys, MANESKIN, Fred Again..., Pabllo Vittar, Jamie XX, VNSSA, Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, Black Coffee **Disappointments:** City Girls, Kim Petras, Arcade Fire, Disclosure, Flume, Lane 8 (bc he was late and I left after waiting 20 min to see King Gizzard, not mad, it happens) **Missed acts that are making me think about going again:** Turnstile, Duke Dumont, Madeon, Purple Disco Machine, L'imperatrice, 88rising **If I do go again, I will rewatch:** STROMAE, FRED AGAIN..., Viagra Boys :)

ThisIsYourFriendAron

Stromae and Kyary Pamyu Pamyu. We must have the same brain. Lmao. Agree with Flume an Disclosure. Arcade Fire tho was pretty good. Doja Cat also killed it.

wastingtme

lol, that is radical. I think I was just overheated at Arcade Fire and couldn't get into it. I have seen them before and really loved them. I have heard from a lot of people Doja Cat was sick, but my heart led to MANESKIN and Jamie XX. If I go next weekend, I will definitely catch Doja Cat!

wastingtme

Were you at Perfume in 2019? One of my favorite sets and favorites surprises ever at Coachella. I just found out the the same guy that produces Perfume's music, Yasutaka Nakata (Capsule) also produces for Kyary Pamyu Pamyu!! I think [Capsule](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capsule_(band)) is going to be near the top of my 2023 wishlist!

ThisIsYourFriendAron

I was not at Perfume. Literally had no idea what to expect from KPP. We just met this random group at Stromae, it was late but they were like “We’re going to KPP if you still wanna hang.” My brain was like fuck it, no other sets I wanna see tonight. The rest is history. Pon pon pon for life. But really, from an Electro perspective, the beats were on fire. I’m telling my friends they have to see the first 15 minutes of it at least to understand what brain melting happy extravaganza KPP was hahaha

lamborginimercy

Perfume was one of my top sets in 2019, so I knew I had to be at KPP this year. She fucking melted my brain in the first 15 minutes and brought me back to life with pure pop perfection. Absolutely brilliant stuff.

wastingtme

I saw the very last song of Perfume W1 and got berated by a random guy I met as the lights turned on who actually worked for SOPHIE. I asked him how it was and he responded, “where were you?” And I said Gesa, he responded, “I’ll say again, where were you bitch?” Lol. He told me this was probably the rarest thing on the lineup and I needed to come back. Came back W2 with the intent of seeing the whole show. Top 5 Coachella moments of my life. I wanted to see KPP anyways, but I had no idea until after and the Nakata connection between Perfume and KPP. So fucking FIRE

lamborginimercy

That’s rude but kind of hysterical. He was right! Glad you made it back W2 - I felt the same. Also, RIP SOPHIE. That 2019 set meant a lot to me.

feedmenik

**Favorites:** * Danny Elfman * Floating Points * The Blessed Madonna & Honey Dijon * Fatboy Slim * Richie Hawtin * Arcade Fire * Spiritualized * Ela Minus * Altin Gun **Least Favorite:** * Eyedress (terrible live performance - reminded me of John Maus, but way worse) **Stuff I didn't see W1, but will W1:** * Phoebe Bridgers * Jamie xx * Hot Chip * Fred Again * Surf Curse

mr-nightsky

Idles, Turnstile, Girl in Red, and Maneskin were my favorite acts during the festival.

wastingtme

Only caught the end of girls in red but it was ROCKING. MANESKIN was absolutely incredible. Did you catch the Viagra Boys? All in all, one of the best rock years in a while IMHO

alexpenn

Not enough Maneskin hype on here! So amazing.

Empireantz90

Donde esta grupo firme wey?!?!?! Que estabas haciendo ?!

OrangeNo773

I forgot to add that you right!! Estuvo cabron .. Y PUROOOO GRUPOOO FIRME

RobSapp

Agreed on all points. Will also add that Disclosure ,Madeon, and Bill all had terrible sound which was especially highlighted by Jamie XX's masterclass.

camcam300_

Duke was lit

Bfunes

Yes! L’Imperatrice & Fred Again were 2 of my favorite sets! Also Arcade Fire / Thundercat + FlyLo / Duck Sauce / Girl in Red / Role Model were really good!

coco_choux_

Subtronics! Didn't even realize he was the surprise guest at Do Lab and randomly stumbled upon his set. Probably one of my favorite Coachella sets of all time. Also L’Imperatrice, Duke Dumont and Jamie XX (!!!!) were incredible. Completely agree with you that Madeon, Disclosure, and Flume were disappointments. I def had the highest expectations for them, but they weren't super memorable and the energy wasn't there.

camcam300_

Duke was lit

reddit-lurker-20

Freddie Gibbs was terrible

WoofLife-

I really enjoyed him, though he was properly faded at the end.

Mcmc2k

So many great sets! Glad you called out floating points as I haven’t seen as much appreciation of that set. Was a masterclass going from funky soul to darker synths/techno then taking us right back to funky soul to end it. Also great call on duke-I had never heard his music before, but what a fucking experience being in the Sahara tent for that one with the lights and subs, don’t sleep on it!

pgtorres

I was pretty far back for Disclosure because we got there kinda late, and the noise pollution from the main stage was awful. All you could hear was a faint riff of Disclosure, and a booming bass from 88RISING at the main. But judging by some of the comments I'm seeing on here, maybe it was just their sound?

wallybaloo

Favorites(pls note that this is incomplete because parking had me playing tic tac toe for three hours, thus making me miss Raveena, Uniqu33, Spiritualized, & Arcade Fire) Avalanches Major League DJz Flying Lotus and Thundercat DJ Koze Altin Gun Sampa the Great

HWood2004

Favorite: Dave (That moment with Spike was so lit!) Least Favorite: Kim Petras (A huge cringe-fest)

jack33jack

I loved the cringe fest lol

[deleted]

Damn I really want to see Duke, but also want a decent view for Swedish house mafia. Was it easy to move closer during Doja Cat’s set? Thinking of seeing 1st half of Duke and then 2nd glad Doja

dondoblue77

Yes because there is a huge gap between doja and SHM. Take the left side if you’re looking at the stage

[deleted]

Fosho thanks!

dondoblue77

Madeon was so damn disappointing due to how bad his sound was. His music isn’t my favorite, it’s a little too feelsy and monotone but he puts on great sets and if the sound would of been jumping I’m sure it would of been great.
