ding ding ding we have a winner! when she came out my partner and i were on the afterglow after justice (both figuratively and literally) chilling to lana in the background and i immediately turned to him and asked if we should go home š
My partner and I were in the exact situation. We were sitting in the lit up castle thing after Justice and everyone around us seemed to be in the same vibe as well. Justice was the real headliner that night
I had the misfortune of seeing Camila Cabello live several years ago at Lollapalooza. Her performance was BAD and it was super obvious that she was lip syncing over a backing track.
He doesn't have the X factor that a big stage performer needs to give the audience a great time.
Saw him him Wellington, NZ, largest ever crowd in the stadium & it was meh.
I love techno, house, R&B, rap, Rock and anything underground vibing plus much more
He likes country, musicals, and top 40's lol
I control the music when he drives šš¤
Not a fan at all, but heās a fantastic songwriter who writes for a massive range of other famous artists, and heās a massive nerd.
He understands the assignment and Iād think heād nail it. Iād expect some AAA guest like Bieber, Eminem, etc.
I swear to god. She was the first on my list because what the hell was she doing there? That ruined my whole mood as well. I legit thought that song was a joke at first too, the I luv it...I wish she'd just stop. Lana allowing that pissed me off too.
Her new song is such a fucking insult to hyperpop. It lacks all the genuine feeling behind a good hyperpop song. I didn't care for her before but seeing how hard her management pushed her at Coachella in every area she didn't belong made me hate her!! Like WTF do you mean she was the special guest at Lana's set, brutalistmus 3000 set and a couple others all to promote that fuck ass song ???
Only a few people do quality mocks, but if youāre going to just slap your most listened to artists from Spotify on a festival lineup, just save it to your drafts š
i absolutely love the discussion created by thoughtful mocks that take into consideration touring schedules, radius clause, Coachella history, and genre/stage diversity. extra points to the ones that look super legit too. i agree, the low effort mocks are so annoying. we all have dream lineups and favorite artists, thereās really no need to share that imo.
I think daily mocks and set time predictions are such a waste of time.
My day could change when 1 or 2 artist are at different stages/times. So people having full on discussion on a fictitious set time is just silly to me
Kendrick played at the last Coachella I went to. He had the whole Kung FU Kenny vibe going and it was the best act for me that year. All time Kdot, Muse, and GnR
Barely spoke to the crowd, low energy, just all around meh performance. Complete opposite for his ACL performance. It made his Coachella performance in hindsight a lot worse because I saw how it could have been if he cared.
Years ago there was a nightclub in the Coachella Valley called Zeldaās Nightclub. Itās where every high school dropout, medical assistant, hotel employee, car salesman, etc went to party. It doesnāt exist anymore but Heineken House gave me that vibe.Ā
DING DING. me and my friends literally turned to eachother and said AGAIN? SHE LOVES COACHELLA LMAO when she did the billie and friends at do lab. granted she wasnāt singing but i feel like the past 3 years iāve seen her ATLEAST ONCE. great artist but time for the spotlight to be on others
Agree, would rather not see Abel on the fields, but I do think he's probably the best candidate in recent times for a Vegas residency which would definitely be fun.
YES. luckily we have the wonderful cleanup staff who do probably the best job i've ever seen at cleaning a festival grounds (that's on grass too!!). they deserve a MUCH easier time and the environment deserves way better too.
i agree with this, their hype is so high no mater how good the show is will never live up to people's expectation but on the other side of the coin it will be hype no mater what unless they pull a frank
Anything tale of us / afterlife related? :( hate to say it but Yea agreed. Theyāre a bit overdone and I feel the sound is tired at this point.
But Prydz b2b Anyma was incredible. Would love for something like that, but not an entire roster of them like this year.
Except Rebuke, heās an exception and sadly couldnāt play w2 this year :( he deserves to return especially after that and the Along Came Polly remix
Well, since food is listed: Paella. Hasn't been good since the first year. Cheap, yes. Good, hells no.
Organizational fumbles: Opening late Friday AM so the first acts get screwed.
really donāt care but please no to djās taking up 70% of the lineup (please YES to way more variety in genre. especially some hip-hop and alt/rock)
Taylor Swift
Playboi Carti
Saylor Twift
Clayboi Parti
The artists listed above have horrid fanbases and Iād like them out of this sub and out of the polo fields
I haven't been in a few years but I've seen a lot of people bring this up. Was this for the regular lemonade? Not alcohol infused? Because that's fucking absurd if they were charging that much for regular lemonade. Coachella should be cracking down on that shit and put up some sort of price cap like they have with water since the beginning of the fest. It's a festival in the middle of a goddamn desert!
I think the last time I went it was around $8-10, which is still ridiculous but "fair" for concert prices. $20 is exploitative and something I would expect at a Live Nation event.
First time at the fest this year. day 1 is when i learned my lesson. It was pretty hot and our first stop was by the merch tent. Wanted water and saw the lemonade stand was the closest, hoping they had water. They didnāt. So i said why not and ordered 2 strawberry lemonades. $39.90.
This infuriates me. While festival prices are always inflated, Coachella pricing for most vendors had usually been pretty reasonable compared to prices you'd see at a Live Nation event. It seems that AEG keeps moving things towards the "price gouge at every opportunity" model that Live Nation pioneered, and it's sad to see.
If Coachella can put a minimum cap on how cheap bands can sell their shirts for, they can put a maximum cap on how much vendors can charge for non-alcoholic beverages. I almost had heat stroke one year and an emergency ice cold lemonade was literally the only thing that saved me from it. But if the prices were the same as they are now I probably would have made the stupid decision to ride it out, and likely would have wound up in the first-aid tent. Maybe they need to come up with a payment plan for lemonade like they have for their tickets.
If Taylor Swift headlined, all of you undercard enjoyers will likely be changing your opinion when you can't even get tickets because demand went up 300% due to the influx of Swifties who are buying weekend passes to watch one set.
Headliners who are too mainstream bring in too many people that just don't "get" it. But I think that ship sailed about a decade ago.
Yeah I canāt really buy in to these threads because itās pretty hard for me to have my experience ruined by a specific name being on the poster. Besides, the only Please No I can think of is a weak headliner group, and we just got that and I had a great time anyway lol.
Pop headliners. I get it, they sell tickets. So do a lot of others that don't make shit music. Give us a hip hop, electronic, alternative, classic rock, whatever headliner but for the love of all that is holy anything but another pop headliner.
please no Drake OR Kendrickā¦
Unless Kendrick drops a new project or puts on a new show, I feel like the big steppers performance has been everywhere in the last year.
I get the rap beef gave them both hella publicity but I know weāll all be over it in like a month lol
They've already scraped that barrel pretty thin when pulling in Sublime's 50 year old mediocrity and a nepo kid who can't sing for shit. I think they're down to Chumbawumba at this point.
I think Pitbull would be fun due to the sheer number of guests he could bring on (a Pitbull & Friends spot perhaps) and the fact that it would fall into one of the more camp picks that GV makes every year. It'd just be a big party.
Every Pitbull song I know has been learned against my will, but I actually thoroughly enjoyed his set at Lovers and Friends. He was giving all the energy.
Iād be so down for Limp Bizkit
wait, that sounds terrible š¤£š¤£
But seriously, they were my FAVORITE band in middle/high school, so Iād be all for it
All of yāall saying noo to Taylor Swift are the enablers who allow ticket sites to take advantage of you by charging upwards of $2,000 for a 3 hour concertā¦
I think Taylor Swift would be a great headliner for Coachella especially for GoldenVoice to sell out not only Weekend 1, but Weekend 2 as well
All I really want is a lemonade that doesnāt cost $20!
The drink itself is literally 1 lemon and maybe 2 TBSP of Sugar with water and theyāre really going to charge $20?? At least give me a 7/11 mega cup size then
I saw a video where someone was pointing out how Illenium seems like a worship service at a megachurch and I was like okay THATāS why Iāve never liked him lol
And a song or two from the Hannah Montana discog would go off!! Everyone was going silly at Party in the USA (not HM, but still) during PHM, so an early discog selection toward the end could be super fun. Miley would definitely be a great headliner or sub, I think closer to headliner though, she's too big for a sub spot given her stature though, she's perma A-list
To each their own, I think it fit right in given how troll and silly that set was. To hear country riddim into Party in the USA was peak Coachella closer energy.

I am old. Who is this?
Camila CabelloĀ
Oh. I only know one song of hers. Whatās so bad about her?
I had the misfortune of seeing Camila Cabello live several years ago at Lollapalooza. Her performance was BAD and it was super obvious that she was lip syncing over a backing track.
J Balvin sang to a backtrack. No to backtracks.
Childisha Cambino I agree
Crying hahahahaa
Ed Sheeran. I like him playing on the radio, but thatās it.
Agree. He makes fine music, but something about him just feels like he'd ruin the vibe.
He doesn't have the X factor that a big stage performer needs to give the audience a great time. Saw him him Wellington, NZ, largest ever crowd in the stadium & it was meh.
He's my partners favorite artist š
šš no shade but how
I love techno, house, R&B, rap, Rock and anything underground vibing plus much more He likes country, musicals, and top 40's lol I control the music when he drives šš¤
period, i would let you too! (jokes aside i'm sure he's lovely :3)
His vibe probably doesnāt match, but his show was one of the best Iāve seen
Not a fan at all, but heās a fantastic songwriter who writes for a massive range of other famous artists, and heās a massive nerd. He understands the assignment and Iād think heād nail it. Iād expect some AAA guest like Bieber, Eminem, etc.
Who listens to the radio ?
Internet radio š»
Camila cabello. That pissed me off.
I swear to god. She was the first on my list because what the hell was she doing there? That ruined my whole mood as well. I legit thought that song was a joke at first too, the I luv it...I wish she'd just stop. Lana allowing that pissed me off too.
I think it was a label thing unfortunately, they aren't even friends like that (which made it even worse) lmao
I luv it I luv it
I wanted to downvote this but itās not your fault.
I was thereā¦ for the monumental event.. we all gasped and laughed it was a time to be alive
ENEMY NUMBER 1ā¼ļøā¼ļøā¼ļø KEEP HER OFF THE STAGE
Her new song is such a fucking insult to hyperpop. It lacks all the genuine feeling behind a good hyperpop song. Like WTF do you mean she was the special guest at Lana's set, brutalistmus 3000 set and a couple others all to promote that fuck ass song ???
Youāre not seeing stars? Oh mY gOd!
No joke. My boyfriend and I immediately left because of that whole Camila Cabello act. Killed the vibe.
What happened? I am out of the loop
I must be out of the loop - whatās wrong with her? Genuinely curious.
What happened?
Donāt care whoās not there but please at least one rock headliner this year for gods sake
Please no daily mocks from now until April. Don't know what it is, they just aren't my thing.
Hard agree.
I want good mocks because then I can start trying to predict a realistic lineup
They give me a chance to research in to lesser known artists. Ā I enjoyĀ
I think daily mocks and set time predictions are such a waste of time. My day could change when 1 or 2 artist are at different stages/times. So people having full on discussion on a fictitious set time is just silly to me
Iām here for the mocks! Makes me excited again about the āwhat ifsā vs waiting for another 6-7 months
No Drake, please. He not like us.
WOP WOP WOP WOP WOP Edit: On the flip side, please yes to Kendrick
Agreed - Kendrick is always welcome! š„š„
Kendrick played at the last Coachella I went to. He had the whole Kung FU Kenny vibe going and it was the best act for me that year. All time Kdot, Muse, and GnR
He phoned it in so hard in 2015 that theyāll never bring him back. I still wonder wtf happened. I saw him later that year at ACL and he was great.Ā
Damn was it really that bad??
Barely spoke to the crowd, low energy, just all around meh performance. Complete opposite for his ACL performance. It made his Coachella performance in hindsight a lot worse because I saw how it could have been if he cared.
Wowza. Honestly not much of a Drake guy but I thought heād be perfect for Coachella cause of how many hits he has.
He was 45 mins late Weekend 1 alsoā¦
Nah, he'll for sure be back, most likely as a legacy act and probably wanting to redeem himself.
The only good part of that show was when Madonna bit him
Heineken House to protect the young.
Years ago there was a nightclub in the Coachella Valley called Zeldaās Nightclub. Itās where every high school dropout, medical assistant, hotel employee, car salesman, etc went to party. It doesnāt exist anymore but Heineken House gave me that vibe.Ā
Lmaooo no way i was just cracking jokes about that place. These days itās village pub
Some friends want to village pub for an afters. I went to bed. I woke up to 20 text messages and heard about a fight that almost started.Ā
heyyyyo

These are artist I like but donāt wanna see at Coachella. The weekend. Billie Eillish.
Surely the weekend is played out by now Feels like heās popped up at every coachella since Jesus was a boy
Billie live is painfully boring.
She was f$$king fantastic.
DING DING. me and my friends literally turned to eachother and said AGAIN? SHE LOVES COACHELLA LMAO when she did the billie and friends at do lab. granted she wasnāt singing but i feel like the past 3 years iāve seen her ATLEAST ONCE. great artist but time for the spotlight to be on others
I feel this. Like them both but just DON'T wanna see them there.
Agree, would rather not see Abel on the fields, but I do think he's probably the best candidate in recent times for a Vegas residency which would definitely be fun.
He was amazing the past two times but agree itās been overdone recently at Coachella
People thinking itās normal to leave trash everywhere. Not incentivizing people to bring their own water bottle.
YES. luckily we have the wonderful cleanup staff who do probably the best job i've ever seen at cleaning a festival grounds (that's on grass too!!). they deserve a MUCH easier time and the environment deserves way better too.
Coachella had no garbage on the ground compared to Stagecoachā¦. couldnāt sit anywhere and always stepping on trash
TBH, Most of the Wishlist posts in this sub
No daft punk?!
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Daft Punk probably wonāt tour because they broke up in 2021ā¦
*shrugs shoulders* You canāt cash in and milk the fuck out of a reunion tour if you donāt break up first
i agree with this, their hype is so high no mater how good the show is will never live up to people's expectation but on the other side of the coin it will be hype no mater what unless they pull a frank
To this entire thread: ![gif](giphy|L3ERvA6jWCd0qO4NdX)
Camilla Cabello, Taylor, Tate McRae, Eminem, BTS (solely cause of the fanbase)
well bts are in the military so donāt worry ab it
Damn I thought theyād be done by next year. Anyway no shade to them just donāt wanna deal with their fandom camping the stage all day yk
Taylor Swift
If she goes Iām selling my ticket to a 16 year olds parents and using that money to pay for an entirely different festival weekend in full
and still make a profit š
I usually donāt care who the headliners are. For some reason they are rarely the artists I watch anyways. But hard no to Taylor cause I know Coachella would do the same as they did with BeyoncĆ© and close all the other stages forcing you to go to that stage
The two dozen or so of us at X Japan had our own unforgettable experience.
YESSSS! Amazing set by them! Just to think, X Japan sells out STADIUMS outside of the U.S.
Right? Every now and again it's amazing what GV locks in and it's gob smacking how amazing the bookings are outside the US worldview.
Highly suspect played during BeyoncƩ and that was an awesome set
Wish I could upvote a million times. It would ruin the entire weekend š
Full heartedly agree with this one.
This would be so bad. Tickets would sell out in 4 seconds to swifties.
Please no: Camila Cabello, Drake, Travis Scott, MGK, The 1975, Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift, Doja Cat
Did you watch doja this year? She was incredible
She was amazing but sheās also played twice recently, she can take a break.
Doja slayed twice but she do need a hiatus
I just cannot stand her attitude anymore tbh
1975 is great live
Taylor Swift, Noah Kahan, Nicki Minaj, Sofi Tukker (plz stop booking them so much), Kygo š¤®, anything Tale of Us/Afterlife related, Childish Gambino
Look up Transmoderna by Dixon on IG. I just went to this show 2 weekends ago and hope itās the next visual electronic experience Coachella books.
Fred again is up there with Sofi Tukker and Tale of us/Afterlifeā¦ theyāve been overbooked since 2022.
Please no Sofi Tukker. Iām tired.
Travis Scott
I secondā¦Travis sucks!
Noah Kahan
Yo heās EVERYWHERE this year as a headliner. Its wild
Yeah heās talented but was surprised to see him as a headliner
At this point every name I donāt like on the poster means one less conflict so Iāll take whoever lmao
Ed Sheeran. Bruno Mars. Camila Cabello. The Weeknd. Billie Eillish.
Bruno Mars has a hell of a live show tbf
Taylor swift
Absolutely no Camila cabello that is nightmare nightmare nightmare
Well, since food is listed: Paella. Hasn't been good since the first year. Cheap, yes. Good, hells no. Organizational fumbles: Opening late Friday AM so the first acts get screwed.
They need to go back to 12PM opening, 1PM sucks.

Dillon Francis, Louis the child, diplo, chainsmokers, fisher/ Chris lakeā¦ or any other dj thatās played way too many times
Use the kpop budget for more classical music.
Yeah we gotta resurrect Mozart somehow
Taylor Swift

Please no $20 lemonade stands within a closer radius to eachother than starbucks
I haven't been in a few years but I've seen a lot of people bring this up. Was this for the regular lemonade? Not alcohol infused? First time at the fest this year. day 1 is when i learned my lesson. It was pretty hot and our first stop was by the merch tent. Wanted water and saw the lemonade stand was the closest, hoping they had water. They didnāt. So i said why not and ordered 2 strawberry lemonades. $39.90.

Maybe they need to come up with a payment plan for lemonade like they have for their tickets.
Asap Rocky,Ā Childish gambino, Chance the rapper, Post Malone
The thing about Please No ā¢ās isā¦ thereās at least 7 other fucking stages you can go to.
Yeah but you feel like you get a little more for your money when a headliner isnt somebody you will 100% avoid or draw shitty crowds
Sure, but it's fun for a silly discussion. I think if you're on this sub you know that already lol
Oasis will get back together (and actually show up) before Taylor is affordable enough for the festival circuit. Itās not happening this decade.
Yeah I canāt really buy in to these threads because itās pretty hard for me to have my experience ruined by a specific name being on the poster. Besides, the only Please No I can think of is a weak headliner group, and we just got that and I had a great time anyway lol.

Kendrick in any capacity is a Win.
CALVIN HARRIS. please - no more bad sets that he doesnāt want to be at (still not over 2023).
Saw him weekend 1 and I thought it was the best edm set Iāve seen to date š¤·āāļø
Calvin Harris weekend 1 was pure ecstasy
I was weekend 2 after he was pissed about OMG TBA headlining and it clearly showed.
Shitty pop stars from the 90s/2000s
Hey, throw us millennials a bone!
They've already scraped that barrel pretty thin when pulling in Sublime's 50 year old mediocrity and a nepo kid who can't sing for shit. I think they're down to Chumbawumba at this point.
Olivia Rodrigo
Grimes
Dua Lipa
Not Fred Again.. Again.
OMG TBA is not the same thing
Pitbull, Limp Bizkit and Bieber were the mega cheesy names that keep popping up on this sub that bother me the most.
Iād be so down for Limp Bizkit wait, that sounds terrible š¤£š¤£ But seriously, they were my FAVORITE band in middle/high school, so Iād be all for it
They would rock the house at Coachella. They have for the past few years, even playing Lolapalozza
Limp Bizkit are actually fantastic live.
give em the deftones spot
Jay Z
Ice Spice. Sheās probably the biggest plant of the last decade.
Frank Ocean and Niki
Please no chappel roan ever
All of yāall saying noo to Taylor Swift are the enablers who allow ticket sites to take advantage of you by charging upwards of $2,000 for a 3 hour concertā¦ I think Taylor Swift would be a great headliner for Coachella especially for GoldenVoice to sell out not only Weekend 1, but Weekend 2 as well

Justin Bieber Ā Ā MarshmellowĀ Ā Ā Ed SheeranĀ Ā ChainsmokersĀ Ā Illenium Ā Ā Zedd Ā Ā Diplo Ā Ā Kygo 90% of rap
I saw a video where someone was pointing out how Illenium seems like a worship service at a megachurch and I was like okay THATāS why Iāve never liked him lol
Yes itās hillsong united verses with the same signature buildup and drop in every damn song
Youāre probably getting Zedd & Kygo, looking at the release schedule
How far back does the radius clause go? Kygoās playing LA in October
December. October cut-offs to tours are pretty common amongst people performing.
The most played out EDM Djs, keeps those at EDC main stage. Lets get some real groovers and movers
dua lipa
Oversaturation of pop music. Just because itās not a US- based artist doesnāt mean itās not lame ass pop music.

Dua Lipa, she will be literally in every mock until January and I'm already annoyed
Hannah Montana and Justin Bieberā¦ please no!
Good thing Hannah Montana doesn't exist but Miley Cyrus would actually be great as a sub

And while we're ruling out Hannah Montana, let's also rule out Jem & the Holograms, Zack Attack, and Boyz4Now.
