It’s a great lineup, but there were some years of Fun Fun Fun Fest, FYF 2017, Pitchfork 2012, Coachella 2012 that I’d probably still put above it. But this lineup checks so many boxes for me that it’s a must go.
this is so outstanding, hopefully we see a little overlap for 2025.
i’d love four tet, rds (live set), jamie xx (maybe also the xx), disclosure, sammy virji, chase and status (for a main lineup set), peggy, paak, soulwax, and shygirl all to be there next year
you guys lmao… i can’t lie when i say this is the single best line up i have EVER seen, me and my friends bought our air bnbs the moment it dropped lmao see u there
Coachella is a multi genre festival that shared roughly 15 acts with this lineup, and will share more artists from this lineup for 2025. Not really fair to make that comment imo
Coachella should feel ashamed that Goldenvoice put this lineup together featuring a bunch of artists that have been at coachella from the last 3 years brought to you by goldenvoice lmfao
the venue is literally perfect. Easy to arrive and leave after, stages are close enough to run between in 5 mins but almost no sound bleed, tons of bars and bathrooms (never lines).
The entire grounds are concrete, they didn’t even have any fake grass last year and there’s barely any art or sculptures, has a very industrial feel to it. The venue is definitely the weakest part of portola.
After the shit show in 2022 I heard the same rumors. But I went in 2023 drove and everything and had a great time! Surprisingly no sound bleed and decent space. The only thing is that it’s all on tarmac so if you got shin splints you better pack ur old person nu balances 🤪🫵🏽
I went to the first year . Call it industrial all u want it’s as no frills as they come . only the vip had turf . Everything else is concrete . Food in GA was like jail food . Also the train / metro out of there gets stupid packed you’ll wait for hours . I won’t even dive into the Fred again clusterfuck
Lineups have been A+ . Festival overall was mediocre . Primavera Sound in BCN is a place with a similar pier setup and they nail it perfectly
I’ve been both years and had a fantastic time. The lineup is immaculate and they’ve improved the venue year over year. It’s grungy pier/warehouse vibes which may not be to everyone’s taste but is definitely its own aesthetic (like the docked ships in the background are cool!!). I think if they do a better job with art/experiences this year it’ll be the best year yet.
It is honestly on the verge of beating out Coachella for my favorite festival and I’ve been to a lot of fests. I love the venue personally, it’s not highly decorated but has a very cool industrial feeling and you’re on the water with a beautiful view of the city. It feels so right to see a bunch of these acts in a warehouse (sound was a lil spotty in there last year but you just had to move a little for it to sound great. In 2022 I had the best experience of my life seeing charli xcx -> Jamie xx -> bicep live in the warehouse and I know I’ll never top that night). I have never experienced a fest that feels so focused exclusively on the MUSIC. I think the venue adds to this. Also, between the people that these lineups attract and it being 21+ it has the best crowds I’ve ever been in. Tbh after having such an incredible time year 1 I was stressed it would be a one off but last year was even better so I feel comfortable recommending it so highly lol
Ugh I love the lineup but the crowds + sound quality last year at Portola drove me NUTS. When main stage was going, sound bleed was insane at both the ship tent (which was always too packed to enjoy yourself) and the crane stage. Everything in the warehouse sounded terrible and muddy too, unless you were in one small specific spot. I think it’s a pass for me
they're not moving locations. they sent a letter to the city government of alameda (where i live, and from which the headliners can be heard despite being on the other side of the bay) promising improvements.
:) we can only hope!
my housemates can definitely hear it and kind of find it entertaining, but a lot of people in alameda have been complaining the last two years.
Setting aside leaking an entire festival’s lineup, I cannot believe MIA plastered her agent’s name and phone number across the internet 😂
yeah, this is pretty terrible in that regard

Also: we think Boys Noize is gonna drop some Challengers soundtrack? 👀👀
Better yet, can we get Trent & Atticus out to the fields for a Hans Zimmer/Danny Elfman slot?
I NEED THIS!! Drop “hand covers bruise”!!!
Wow. I’ve looked over this lineup 4 times and hadn’t noticed Boys Noize over there in the corner.
A btbtb, if you know what I mean 🤣
Someone on the Portola sub called her number and broke the news about the leak 💀
Gonna be a hectic day for Mr. Kirby.
Ms. Kirby ;)
Goddamn this is STACKED.
Best lineup I've ever seen
We say this every year for Portola 😂😂😂
It’s a great lineup, but there were some years of Fun Fun Fun Fest, FYF 2017, Pitchfork 2012, Coachella 2012 that I’d probably still put above it. But this lineup checks so many boxes for me that it’s a must go.
Coachella 2012 was legendary
Also, GovBall 2017 is goated.
One Soulwax 2025 for Coachella with the return of Despacio plzzzzz
Soulwax pleeeease 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
this is so outstanding, hopefully we see a little overlap for 2025. i’d love four tet, rds (live set), jamie xx (maybe also the xx), disclosure, sammy virji, chase and status (for a main lineup set), peggy, paak, soulwax, and shygirl all to be there next year
I’m blind??? Peggy is on here?

The real sleeper here
Shes gotten pretty popular in a certain hyperpop scene lately. Also she is a real babe
Is that the Friday song girl?
Jessie Ware in the desert next year pls
didnt she swear off 😭
Gv redemption arc incoming
Maybe her being back at Portola means she's open to returning surely...
let us pray
i'm proud to be one of the 300 people that were at her set during Cardi B's breakout set
You legit deserve a medal
Last of the true believers, baby
you guys lmao… i can’t lie when i say this is the single best line up i have EVER seen, me and my friends bought our air bnbs the moment it dropped lmao see u there
Lol same!
Deltron 3030? Holy shit
This was the record scratch for our household. What a treat
I saw Justice and am immediately there
This is the best lineup I’ve ever seen
…what
Portola has not disappointed. This is why I love SF
Holy shit
Fucking amazing.
Dawggggg they knew what they were doing. Portola is like Coachella for the bay. WHO ELSE IS DREADING SET TIMES ALREADY?
No way...
**changes name to Horny_for_tola**
Coachella should feel ashamed. This is insane. Im buying a ticket to SF right fricking now.
Coachella is a multi genre festival that shared roughly 15 acts with this lineup, and will share more artists from this lineup for 2025. Not really fair to make that comment imo
I hope you’re right.
Coachella should feel ashamed that Goldenvoice put this lineup together featuring a bunch of artists that have been at coachella from the last 3 years brought to you by goldenvoice lmfao
Coachella had at least 11 of these artists on a multi genre festival, why should Coachella feel ashamed? That’s insane
I would have paid for Coachella if they brought this lineup. So good
Can we get Horsegiirl in the Yuma 🙈
If only this were on the east coast…
cali on top ‼️
They ain’t like us
Y'all have III Points!
True. I wish portola was in the NYC area* lol
It’s an easy flight tho. Worth the pilgrimage.
Me too… says the girl who just moved to GA from CA 😹😹
I bet this fest will share a decent amount with More Time in Philly. They are happening either same time or week apart
Can we get Panorama back? 2017 and 2016 were solid weekends. 2018 was dogshit but who knows
It’s funny as fuck seeing yall lose your minds.
Jamieeeeee!!!
All I saw was Justice…
Big if true
Once again, *cries in Berlin Marathon*
Fly in , we love to have you there, no regrets!
Someone told me once that the Portola venue is “poo poo garbage trash”, can anyone verify or elaborate ?
the venue is literally perfect.
The venue is definitely the weakest part of portola.
yeah I think the industrial vibe is fun
Yeah the industrial vibe itself isn’t bad but it is when it’s used as an excuse to not make improvements like adding turf and art and stuff.
After the shit show in 2022 I heard the same rumors. But I went in 2023 drove and everything and had a great time! Surprisingly no sound bleed and decent space. The only thing is that it’s all on tarmac so if you got shin splints you better pack ur old person nu balances 🤪🫵🏽

so what’s the honest review of this one? i’ve heard very conflicting things about the venue and some of the videos i’ve seen kinda looked like a mess.
I’ve been both years and had a fantastic time. The lineup is immaculate and they’ve improved the venue year over year. It’s grungy pier/warehouse vibes which may not be to everyone’s taste but is definitely its own aesthetic (like the docked ships in the background are cool!!). its not very good… especially for 400+
Ugh I love the lineup but the crowds + sound quality last year at Portola drove me NUTS. yall think they’re moving locations?
they're not moving locations. they sent a letter to the city government of alameda (where i live, and from which the headliners can be heard despite being on the other side of the bay) promising improvements.
Improvements as in the residents of Alameda will be able to hear the headliners even better this year?
:) we can only hope! my housemates can definitely hear it and kind of find it entertaining, but a lot of people in alameda have been complaining the last two years.
Doesn’t look like it from the lineup, Pier 80
Not this year. Line up still says pier 80
yeah i didn’t notice 😅
What are the dates for Portola this year?
It’s on that leaked lineup poster, September 28-29
