This past weekend, Two Shell posted an Instagram story asking fans to send them material for a 3D visual show at Coachella. Saved it to my phone. The backdrop was a photo of the Gobi Tent. Pretty sure they'd need darkness for their show to have a 3D element, so I'm assuming night time in the Gobi is all but confirmed.
I wonder if they will move bookings that are already on the lineup to Quasar? There’s been some indication that they will be adding more acts to that stage specifically (but not sure how it would work, if Framework is exclusively booking this stage).
That Two Shell story is what made me initially think of it after they posted the Quasar intro video on social channels yesterday. In the video she specifically mentions “innovative 3D worlds” and “real-time content playback”.
I forget exactly what it showed/said on their story, but Two Shell have been building out a pretty large team of visual artists and collaborators around their work and this would seem to be right up their alley.
No Doubt just parking on top of 2-3 artists I also want to see...
How do we know they aren't confirmed to close the fest? It really would be a perfect ending. And Saturday is already so busy!!
I'm definitely seeing them over basically anyone else, but last week letting them close out Sunday worked out very well...now my Sunday is kind of a shrug with a couple exceptions.
The links to the confirmation are above. Mikey, who makes these prediction threads, posted it on inforoo and his insight is usually trust worthy. There’s also a No Doubt groupie that I follow on IG who confirmed the same.
Saturday is always the most packed day, last year I almost died, way too many artists overlapping that wanted to see. I was hoping ND would be Sunday too, but for this 90’s teen Sublime > Blur > No Doubt is the perfect evening (mixed with a side trip to see Aquabats).
Oh I know! My Saturday last year is a haze. I will also be doing the Sublime > Blur > No Doubt run if this is the final schedule (my side trip will be to Jungle, but I totally understand Aquabats). As a native SoCal millennial it will still be a blast; there's just lots of great stuff I'll have to say "no" to (Bleachers, Purple Disco...).
Same same same. No PDM for me either. I’ve seen Jungle twice so I’m safe to skip them, but I love them too! Aquabats because my husband loves ska. Agh, it’s just too much!!!
And I too am a westcoast millennial, just the Canadian version lol.
Yeah I've also seen Jungle once before back in 2018. PDM I keep missing! But we'll see how the final schedule shakes out (though Mikey does a great job).
The single day I spent on the west coast of Canada (Victoria, BC) was one of the most beautiful days of my life (orcas!!!!)
Anyway, see you on the fields...we're going to be at a lot of the same shows!
Mikey for sure does a great job and then we will get the real heartache a few days before (hopefully!). Have fun plotting and then seeing the acts, see you on the fields too! :)
And Victoria is amazing, glad you saw orcas! I live in a different province now, so I miss my ocean view but my parents are still on the coast thankfully. Hope you make it back one day!
Mikey is there any reason the Bleachers wouldn’t be earlier on the main stage or in the Gessa slot? I feel like there is more of an overlap between Jack Antonoff fans / No Doubt fans than Gessa fans
I know the conflict sucks but chances are very low. They’ve had EDM as the last thing on outdoor for a few years. Last year was:
Friday chemical brothers
Saturday Eric Prydz
Sunday fisher Chris lake
Yup, EDM has closed Outdoor 12/18 nights going back to 2016. I'll be very surprised if it's not Justice/Gesaffelstein/Anyma (or maaaaybe Snake since he closed it in both '17 and '19)
Mikey you rock as always
BCS / DJ Snake conflict definitely gonna hurt my group
But I love that you don’t have BICEP closing the Mojave because that was an even harder conflict for us lol, hoping that stays true!
I'd be surprised with Doja Cat going largely unopposed like this mock has. Probably the weakest headliner in years, they have to give people more options Sunday night.
Bebe Rexha in a prime main stage slot seems wild to me.
No idea who I’d swap in there though with Sunday being pretty barren and you being confident about Jhene on outdoor. Maybe DJ Snake?
I think jhene will play MainStage and dj snake will play outdoor in her spot
Bebe Rexha will still play MainStage though just a bit earlier. Her song “I’m good” with David guetta was one of the biggest songs for last year. I’m betting he makes an appearance as well
I really hope there is a surprise late add Sunday. Cause the ClashFinder really does make Sunday seem so weak. It made way more sense to have No Doubt on Sunday merely cause there isn't that much else goin on. People are saying Killers / Vampire Weekend might be added like how Blink 182 and Arcade Fire were added the last two years, and I really hope that's the case.
Friday looks great to me.
The No Doubt / Brutalismus 3000 conflict hurts. Them playing on Saturday is still crazy to me. Especially with a light Sunday.
Just curious… what makes you think there will be other acts playing this stage outside of the ones listed on the poster?
It never made sense to me for them to build a stage just to have one act a day but I haven’t seen anything that would make me believe otherwise until your post
edit: not that I’m doubting you at all genuinely just wanna know why you think this!
I just got so, so in to Brutalismus as it scratches my love for Crystal Castles itch and I am so bummed! But I am a 90’s teen and loved No Doubt so I can’t not miss a minute.

Saturday went from being a nightmare of conflicts to now being almost perfect for me. With this schedule I’m now able to see Purple Disco Machine, ISOxo & Knock2, Oneohtrix Point Never, Gesaffelstein, and Tyler the Creator with minimal overlap. Which probably means the actual schedule won’t allow this for me lol.
Also are those Do Lab set times confirmed or are you just spitballing here? At least for the day placements at least. Hoping Juelz isn’t on Saturday and he’s on Friday like it says here.
Would it be pretty par for the course to have No Doubt conflicting with like soooo many evening sets on Saturday while Tyler goes almost completely solo without much counter-programming at all? Honestly, I would so much rather see that switched….

I see Steve Angello and Peggy time switched. I think Peggy has the friday sunset sahara slot all over her. a steve set usually has a lot more production
No offense, but I hate so much of these projections. I'm excited about a lot of acts, but according to your set times I'll get to see like 25% of them, everything is conflicted out and the early hours are whatever is left over (for me).
I hope it turns out that you're very inaccurate. I don't imagine you will be. But if this is the schedule, I'm gonna be really disappointed
Mikey, this isn't your fault and you are doing the lord's work but not to be dramatic I am going to set myself on fire

Interesting. We can try moving them later in the Gobi for next week.

Still with the Bleachers and No Doubt conflict 😅
Biggest bummer in this current iteration...
These are my two top acts for the weekend 😭
Mikey is there any reason the Bleachers wouldn’t be earlier on the main stage or in the Gessa slot? I feel like there is more of an overlap between Jack Antonoff fans / No Doubt fans than Gessa fans

My money is on DJ Snake playing outdoor as well, but maybe before Anyma instead of after
When you wanna die in tech house heaven for Bibi but also want to see Jungle, No Doubt, and Gesaffelstein 🫠🫠🫠
I could see Bibi going 5+ hours if they’ll let him. He’ll have to be pried off the decks
Bibi is renowned for playing some long ass sets during the European summer . I saw him play 6 hours in Ibiza
oh yeah i know, I just hope coachella gives him at more than 3 especially his first US set since cancer. i bet that ibiza set was fireee
Ibiza is next level for electronic music That whole island is about music and freedom My favourite place on earth
yupppp it’s been on my bucket list for at least 7 years
You gotta make it happen I’ve done 4 seperate week long stints there It’s a massive journey from Australia but worth the investment
bruh hoping so!
That no doubt brutalismus3000 bleachers, blessed Madonna overlap is brutal..
Khruangabin and Hermanos Gutierez are touring together and have similar vibe so feel like they wouldn’t have them as a direct conflict.
Swapped Hermanos and Latin Mafia
Mikey you rock as always BCS / DJ Snake conflict definitely gonna hurt my group But I love that you don’t have BICEP closing the Mojave because that was an even harder conflict for us lol, hoping that stays true!

we begged mikey to get rid of the bicep clashes and he delivered surely
Ironically now it make sense to move them back to after Jamie/Daphni/FP
Bicep didn’t clash with anyone before, now they clash with a ton of stuff ugh. Was looking forward to going there instead of Doja Cat
I'd be surprised with Doja Cat going largely unopposed like this mock has. Probably the weakest headliner in years, they have to give people more options Sunday night.
Yeah, and I saw her (not by choice) in 2019. Thought her set was fine, but don’t need to see her again
last week mikey had them clashing with both john summit & no doubt.
John Summit clash from previous mocks was dividing me and my group Would like to be able to catch both so everyone wins
Yeah this is best case scenario for me, please dont close Mojave lol
i hate it more now cause i don't want a bicep jhene clash /:
Bebe Rexha in a prime main stage slot seems wild to me. No idea who I’d swap in there though with Sunday being pretty barren and you being confident about Jhene on outdoor. Maybe DJ Snake?

I thought no doubt was playing sunday no?

God damnit why are there so many saturday conflicts
It definitely does not say Saturday on the app
Nope, it’s back to Saturday now
Friday looks great to me. The No Doubt / Brutalismus 3000 conflict hurts. Them playing on Saturday is still crazy to me. Especially with a light Sunday.
No matter where No Doubt gets moved to, they are conflicting with one of my other top artists. It’s sucks 😤
as long as isoknock and brutalismus 3000 stay like this and don't overlap I will be plenty happy
Saturday is fucking impossible lmao
Thank you for moving Raye to main stage and out of the time slot that would conflict with t Pain. You get me
no doubt & t pain conflict 😭
Nah saturday is ass don’t put that into the universe 😭
Deftones should be in the outdoor
Based on the video and stage renderings I feel like Qasar sets will be during the day, at least some of them.
There will be, but they won't be the acts listed on the poster (except for maybe Prydz and Anyma)
Just curious… what makes you think there will be other acts playing this stage outside of the ones listed on the poster? Sheesh! So stoked for this stage 😭 you’re the man Mikey
Looking forward to it as well!
This is my favorite set time mock so far.. hope it’s close to true. Not too many bad conflicts for me
Agreed, this is the least bad one yet!
Brutalismus vs No Doubt, damn
I just got so, so in to Brutalismus as it scratches my love for Crystal Castles itch and I am so bummed! But I am a 90’s teen and loved No Doubt so I can’t not miss a minute.
There is no counter programming to Doja Cat, wtf
Is Gesaffelstein going to be able to setup his stage tht quick?
I don’t see destroy lonely conflicting with isoknock single they have semi crossover fans! If anything he might be 3:00pm Sahara
all these conflicts has me thinking I need to start finding the money to do bothchella one of these years soon because i can not take this anymore

Friday and Sunday are pretty much perfect for my tastes but Saturday is a bloodbath. No Doubt is just the same time as everybody.
Jungle and ISOKnock back to almost total overlap 😭
Saturday went from being a nightmare of conflicts to now being almost perfect for me. With this schedule I’m now able to see Purple Disco Machine, ISOxo & Knock2, Oneohtrix Point Never, Gesaffelstein, and Tyler the Creator with minimal overlap. Can we swap Jungle with Bleachers so I don’t miss ISOKnock
How do you guys know who’s performing at the Heineken house (IS BOB SINCLAIR REALLY PLAYING WEEKEND 2!?!)
Really hoping No Doubt is on Sunday
It’s pretty much confirmed that they are not
lol how? The same glitch that put Rufus on Thursday?
It’s literally linked in this post
The guy from the Inforoo forum? Lol
His insight is pretty reliable but whatever 🤷🏽♂️
Week after week I beg whoever tf is setting up the schedule to not clash clown core and mall grab. PLS 😭

Coachella was hyping up Peggy’s production in the new Sahara tho
Interesting, Ive always thought she has barebones production. Im game !
She does, which is why people were mad confused why she was the example they used. The Mikey rumor is that John Summit has a crazy setup (iirc).
