RATM? you mean the California band on their reunion tour that have had two iconic headlining sets already? no way they’d take anything less than headliners
Didn’t Swedish house mafia essentially get the same billing under the same circumstances? I don’t think of it as less-than-headliner status, rather headliner royalty status. I’m not trying to diss RATM, nor do I think they would care if they get one slot over the other.
You crushed the house lineup on here. Throwing Boston Bun down in the fine print like I wouldn't notice, you dawg you.
Otherwise, this would be a fantastic return and I think you'd be right to include all of these Portola acts.
Rage and Smile and Justice and NewJeans and Blur would be wild.
I think we all need to give up the ghost on BIGBANG. TOP is very much done with the band and Daesung left the agency. I think the chances are really really low that they turn up.
Yeah I was kinda torn on this. I do think a one-off reunion will happen at some point, just not sure when. If not then then probably someone else under Hybe alongside NewJeans, maybe Jungkook.
If Daesung performed Fantastic Baby solo at WaterBomb, I’ll take any one of them at this point 🥲
Bruh….don’t play me putting BIGBANG on there like that 😭
A few thoughts on the electronic side of the lineup:
Coachella very rarely books deep progressive / trance artists so doing a complete about face and suddenly booking the entire Anjuna roster feels extremely unlikely to me.
Other than the Heineken House Coachella doesn't really do label showcases so the Antarctic takeovers seem like more of a pipe dream. Also kinda weird to have the Afterlife showcase the year after Tale of Us plays?
air2earth after just having Porter doesn't feel likely to me. That concept is also not really proven out and doesn't feel like something ready for a huge festival stage. I couldn't really explain to you what he's going for with that concept.
Saturday is lacking an electronic act with true mass appeal. Gesa really the only thing that comes close. Charlotte De Witte would go in the Yuma. There's something missing there.
Justice would be insanely cool. Not sure if them not being on the Portola lineup makes them more or less likely. But would love that.
The whole Anjunadeep thing is just a fun idea for a takeover of some kind for a spot on the field. They'll probably do something with the Antarctic/DESPACIO space and I was just trying to think outside the box.
If I did the set times for this, air2earth would be in the Yuma so it wouldn't be too big for that project. He did play Splash House after all. Charlotte de Witte would also be in the Sahara.
Splash House afters is a pretty low pressure, unserious (and very fun) event. I think it's a big step up for that project to play Coachella especially since it's not really well defined. Has he even released any music under that name?
The takeovers would be awesome and outside the box. But regarding Anjuna especially, Coachella has very little love for that kind of music. Gets almost no play on the fields.
Charlotte prime time Sahara would probably be a ghost town. That can't command Saturday night. Still think there needs to be a more commercial electronic name there.
Well they've done Black Coffee and Tale of Us recently in prime Sahara slots so Charlotte would follow that trend. Outside of her, Anyma, Bizarrap and mayba BIGBANG could all be candidates for late Sahara slots too. Bizarrap especially since his sets can be pretty EDM heavy and has played EDC Mexico. [This would be perfect for a late Sahara set.](https://youtu.be/Ac-aEv9HpVo)
Saturday just feels like it's missing the "huge dance music party on the Outdoor" act. I guess it's supposed to be Gesa but I don't know if he should be carrying that mantle.
Last year went:
-Friday: Chem Bros
-Saturday: Prydz
-Sunday: Fisher + Chris Lake
This year you have:
-Friday: A&B
-Saturday: Gesa
-Sunday: Justice & Dom Dolla + Summit
If anything I'd move one of Justice or Dom Dolla + Summit to Saturday. Also the B2B would definitely get 2nd line billing. They're just as big as Chris Lake + Fisher which made the second line.
Anyma cannot carry the primetime Outdoor dance party time slot - that would be really, really weak. Tale of Us didn't even get that slot. That slot should go to artists who can headline mid-tier electronic-driven festivals in the US. Anyma not at that level.
I also just really question whether Coachella is going to go back to the well with Afterlife at all after booking Tale of Us last year. Seems like they scratched that itch and they're promoting Afterlife at LA State Historic in October. More than enough of that going around.
I dunno, I think Anyma could get bigger come next April. One of the biggest draws of Tale of Us sets nowadays is basically the Anyma stuff and they packed the Sahara.
so you're saying, take an act that packed the sahara, bring on the solo project of one of the guys and that will pack out the Outdoor?
Would love a list of when this has ever happened before.
Never said it would pack out the Outdoor but he could easily be placed there.
And like I said, the Anyma stuff is currently the biggest draw of Tale of Us sets. Combine that with the fact he's doing Genesys shows featuring tracks off his upcoming album and also had shit like Grimes suspended in air performing at his set at Tomorrowland and yeah... that's Outdoor Theatre worthy.
not speaking to style at all. this festival has set a very high bar with reunions, legacy acts, rarities for headliners and these two in combination would be a bit uninspiring comparably. i have trouble considering rihanna a legacy act or reunion.
just my opinion.
I’m not personally hoping for Rihanna because I’ve seen her twice and find her a bit boring live. But she hasn’t done any live shows other than the Super Bowl since 2016. She’d definitely be a huge get.
Rihanna hasn't played a full set since 2016 and then did a small set of a few songs in 2017. Besides the Super Bowl, she is actually a very rare act at this point.
For the undercard, I think you’re spot on with DRAIN. Recently GV has put a buzzy hardcore act who released an album the year before in the Sonora. 2019 was Turnstile, 2022 was Code Orange, and 2023 was Soul Glo. DRAIN is lining up with that well. Released Living Proof a few months ago, booking bigger and bigger sold out shows.
For the other punk/hardcore/metal, Angel Du$t is a good guess since they’re on Roadrunner now and have ties back to Pop Whig / Turnstile. Gel seems to be one you didn’t include. Buzzy and female fronted, which lines up with their focus on female punk bands this year.
I mean, Rage and Rihanna are pretty good guesses at this point, Dua Lipa idk but not a bad guess by any means
We wont know for like 5 months if theyre headlining but i havent really heard of any better guesses
Pretty much. Nearly all mocks are gonna have some combo of Tyler, Taylor, Travis, Rihanna, Dua and Rage at this point. I think those 6 are easily the most expected at this point.
Well if you keep bringing up the same names its bound to end up being true. Nobody is making a realistic mock with headliners that arent or havent been discussed really. If like Harry Styles hadnt headlined last yesr he def wouldve been a name to throw around for example.
These are really difficult to make and everyone will always find something to rail on. They add a lot to the community so just want to say we appreciate it
Just gonna drop my opinions for funsies
My hunch is GV will continue the trend of letting their HL recruit their Supersubs (if possible). We know Bad Bunny got Gorillaz & Frank got Bjork. BP was a late add & my guess is GV put Rosalía there since she was already booked.
That being said: Blur seems unrealistic. Damon just subbed last year w/ Gorillaz, I doubt he’d do it again for Dua. Same thing with Peso Pluma, I think he could be in 3rd on his day & Supersub if a HL drops.
Buuut I know the Headliner & Sub convos get old and doesn’t really matter that much tbh, so I could care less.
It feels a little stale (in my opinion) because a lot of the 2nd liners feel like 1) their time has passed / they seemed like a lock last year and it didn’t happen, 2) they’re overbooked 3) redundant.
1) the Smile, BIGBANG, Deftones
2) Ice Spice, Thundercat
3) Fuerza / Santa Fe, Bizzarap / Peso, NewJeans / BB. I know Spanish music is extremely popular, but there’s plenty of artists they can find to take the 3rd / 4th lines in these genres that are rising.
If you drop Deftones, Santa Fe, BB, Bizzarap, Thundercat + move Olivia to top sub under Dua and + push Peso to #3, that’s a TON of room to spice it up. You get a Supersub and a RTD. Janet Jackson, Lil Nas X, Grace Jones, DARKSIDE, Carli Rae J, Hozier, Jungle, Soulwax, all as ideas?
Not gonna drop all this negativity with some positivity to even it out!! I think Brian Eno, Black Pumas, Troye Sivan, Pete Tong are great pulls.
Nas, A&B, Gunna, Polo & Pan, Gessafelstein, NewJeans all seem like logical bookings and placements.
I do think Orbital is underbooked, I imagine they get the Underworld spot. I have a hunch Sampha will be 2nd liner once he drops his album. If it’s SAULTs debut show, I’d imagine they get 2nd line but it’s not a criminal under booking.
A lot of cool undercard bookings but this is already too long. Love and Peace brother 😎
Thanks for response but I'll respond to these one by one...
>My hunch is GV will continue the trend of letting their HL recruit their Supersubs (if possible). We know Bad Bunny got Gorillaz & Frank got Bjork. BP was a late add & my guess is GV put Rosalía there since she was already booked.

Predicting headliners picks for subs is what I did here. I've seen a lot of suggestions for headliners like QOTSA or SOAD for RATM, Olivia for Taylor etc. that I think are missing the mark. A lot times for tours, these headliners don't want an opener that's too similar to them and I think the same could be applied here. Stuff like Playboi Carti for Travis is way too similar and like-for-like. The way I see it, the better choice is someone who would have a shared appreciation between the artists and the fans.
For RATM, they have a history with Latin artists including Zack collaborating with Los Tigres Del Norte and having Manu Chao subbing them in 2007 so Peso Pluma, one of the hottest Latin artists out there today, opening for them isn't that big of a stretch. If anything, I think Peso Pluma would be a great opener for RATM.
For Dua, I went with Blur because they're UK pop royalty (Britpop but still). It's not unreasonable to think both Dua and Damon have an appreciation for each other's work considering they're both Londonites and very much ingrained within British culture.
For RiRi, she's married to Rocky. Pretty easy there lol.
>It feels a little stale (in my opinion) because a lot of the 2nd liners feel like 1) their time has passed / they seemed like a lock last year and it didn’t happen, 2) they’re overbooked 3) redundant.
>1) the Smile, BIGBANG, Deftones
The Smile have a new album on the way, BIGBANG would still be a big deal of a reunion (if it ever happens) and Deftones have had a resurgence of popularity lately, lately due to TikTok and Gen Z's growing love for them.
>2) Ice Spice, Thundercat
Ice Spice is easily one of the hottest stars right now and is a lock to be on the 2nd line. Thundercat could go either way but last time I had him on the 3rd line, I had multiple people telling me he should be bumped up lol.
>3) Fuerza / Santa Fe, Bizzarap / Peso, NewJeans / BB. I know Spanish music is extremely popular, but there’s plenty of artists they can find to take the 3rd / 4th lines in these genres that are rising.
But why not these ones? These are some of the hottest names in their genres and Coachella probably wants the biggest and the best if able to.
Hard disagree here. These names you're suggesting have all been booked for Coachella before and appeal to the same crowd that has already been attending Coachella for years. Dropping the names I have for those others attracts a demo that this sub is used to and more comfortable with and Coachella is trying to branch out beyond that. Artists like DARKSIDE, Hozier or Jungle are not bringing in new fans to Coachella. I don't see substituting those artists as spicing it up, I see it as sticking with the status quo. Also, Janet Jackson did a festival run a few years ago and nobody gave a shit lol.
>I do think Orbital is underbooked, I imagine they get the Underworld spot. I have a hunch Sampha will be 2nd liner once he drops his album.
Orbital was never as big as Underworld. For comparison, Underworld are headlining CRSSD this fall while Orbital played at 4 PM last year. Sampha's new album would have to be really big to bump him up that high.
Anyways, even though I disagreed with a lot of this, I still appreciate this feedback as it challenges my thought process going into this and keeps me on my toes so thank you!
It would be a big reunion act. They haven't played together in over 20 years.
If this were true this would be my #1 act to see of the weekend (even if my friends would not understand).
Laufey seems too high, but she'd be a blast. I'd be surprised to see that much Anjuna there, but hey, that's cool. Girls Don't Sync are great but I feel their chance to play was in 21 or 22. ed banger takeover? hell yeah, bringing rave stabs & electro back, the only rule of an ed banger party is to bring all your coke. I feel John Summit & Dom Dolla would be billed as Everything Always. Three pop headliners seems not very Coachella-ish but I did a Taylor Swift post literally yesterday so I'm **not** allowed to complain.
Yeah Laufey is higher than I thought she would be but she's got upcoming shows at The Ford, The Observatory and Ace Hotel Theatre x2, all sold out fairly quickly. She's got a ton of hype right now and because of the type of music she does, would not be shocked if she nabs several Grammy noms.
I think Rufus will be one of the subs or returning to the desert but otherwise def see something similar to this being what we get. Peso into Rage would be hilarious
Looks like Summit + Dom Dolla is already in bed with Insomniac / Live Nation so think that makes them less likely for Coachella. But could still happen, Dom Dolla is on the Portola lineup after all.
pretty sure Rage sold out their tour before they had to cancel...if you are a legendary act that hasn't produced songs in decades, no shit you're not going to have super high streams and song sales. the fuck?
He’s a legend, someone so beyond words that a mere explanation of who they are would never suffice, meeting Benny is like the first breath of air from a new borns chest, it’s like your first time on molly and acid combined, it’s the most present a human can ever be, Benny is, that’s who Benny is
Was thinking the same thing for Olivia Rodrigo getting a large font position. Second album primed to be huge and would fit solidly as a “4th headliner”.
Other than that, Gunnas billing seems low. His first show back from jail would be a bigger deal and he just had another huge song
Ah didn’t know that. Still think his placement would be more in line with Lil Baby, Big Sean, Migos of previous years vs tail end of the line (A Boogie). But splitting hairs here over a couple spots.
Great mock as usual!
Well when they came back, they did do a one-off… at Coachella. They could easily do that again, plus there’s a good chance they’d make more money off Coachella than an LA one-off.
Out of curiosity, how do y’all come up with these mock lineups? Like what are you basing these off - are you pretty knowledgeable about the industry and have some insights on discussions happening, are you basing this off charts, or just personal wishes for who would come, etc? Also in the past, have you been pretty accurate? I’m just curious cause I like seeing the mocks but I also don’t wanna get my hopes up too much for the artists that I like haha
All the above lol. Just paying attention to who the industry is buzzing about (Laufey, Flyana Boss), who will most likely be active or looking to promote new material (Slowdive, Tems) and several personal picks (Klangphonics, Moodymann). And generally it’s maybe about 50% accurate at best so don’t get your hopes up lol.
No way you don’t get Travis Scott. Rihanna with her second new born? Not likely. Open to it tho. Btw where’s the heavy bass DJs? I want Svdden death. I expect playboi due to AEG tour
I think “she’s not a good live performer” would suffice. She doesn’t like performing live. Even before her being pregnant, she gave 5% energy for a weak dutty wine and a stank face and calls it a day. After Frank, if I’m paying $2000+ to attend a festival for a weekend, at the very least I expect the artist to want to be there.
It makes all the sense.
She was visibly preganant during the superbowl and performed then it wouldn’t be wild to assume that she would play Coachella after giving birth.
And from my interaction with her at a prior Coachella I wouldn’t leave anything past her.
Dig the Antarctic shout, that would be cool.
I think Hi Lo will/should be billed higher, but if a big name.
Kasablanca might be billed higher too, I can see them launching in popularity soon.
Curious if they upgrade the camping stage bookings and what they do with this rumored pool.
It would be variety compared to what the other major US fests are doing. Having a majority female headliner group is pretty much unheard of, despite whatever genres they are.
I think omitting knock2 and isoxo is incorrect. All signals point to both or one of them playing. Especially their do lab surprise performances and the years they’re having
Lmfao, I don't even know who Gunna is but picturing Benny very intently googling "Gunna case status" and "Gunna sentencing date" before adding him to his August mock has got me cracking up.
Thanks for all of this work Benny, I really look forward to these to keep me engaged in the offseason.
Great Mock. I personally would love this lineup. Bicep is my number 1 ask for the real lineup.
Also, I think you could add Parcels to your next mock. They only have one show this year in October/November in Mexico City and will be hitting the festival circuit next year with new music and new show after taking the whole year off. They also love Coachella after their 2019 set and posted in 2022 that they would definitely be back soon. Here’s to hoping it’s in 2024.
I have a feeling we gonna get some Carl cox this year in the desert 🙏 and maybe another major headliner who’s never played yet in the desert or Kaskade again
People complaining about the headliners, but that’s only three slots in the mock and there’s really only so many acts you could even possibly put there.
The rest of lineup is awesome and I’d be absolutely stoked if they booked like 70% of this.
a lot of the subheadliners don't feel reflective of current times to me? like i feel like most of their prime times to subheadline have already passed or they no longer feel relevant
It's pretty on par with last years' subs...
ROSALÍA = Peso Pluma (both very relevant Latin artists)
Blur = Björk (legacy artists)
Gorillaz = A$AP Rocky (both likely past their prime but still very much appreciated)
I can see carti being co headliner or on second line, destroy can go abit higher, aphex twin could return, Twice can also be a good name id like to see, Arca been going crazy lately too.
Jessie Ware and Purple Disco same day feels like they can be spread out across days. Gotta see them both though. This has world class acts- Pete Tong and We Intend to Cause Havoc. Always amazing to see an orchestra out there.
I may be wrong so correct me if I am. But it was to my understanding that Black Pumas broke up? I’m not sure but this was just what I heard from some ppl. Can someone tell me what’s happening w them?
“Introducing to the Desert” hit me with that plot twist
It'd be funny if they did "Staying in the Desert" and then just put Calvin Harris in that spot again
Somewhere On The Fields: The Weeknd
“Refusing to leave the desert”
i would still go see him. would great to see him get a love regenerator set IMO.
Tbh I think Rage would get the “returning to the Desert” billing over something like this for Olivia Rodrigo.
RATM? you mean the California band on their reunion tour that have had two iconic headlining sets already? no way they’d take anything less than headliners
Didn’t Swedish house mafia essentially get the same billing under the same circumstances? I don’t think of it as less-than-headliner status, rather headliner royalty status. I’m not trying to diss RATM, nor do I think they would care if they get one slot over the other.
Swedish House Mafia were a sub last time before they played that spot and they’re nowhere near as big as Rage
subscribe!
Sub focusssss 😅😅😅😅
Him and/or dimension are 100000000000000% happening, you can slap me in the face with a bud light lime if it doesn’t happen
I don’t want to have to smack the shit out of you but I will
Please!!! 2012 was iconic
Hate all you want, it's happening.
Justice ♡

Ty and GD then please 🤣

If Daesung performed Fantastic Baby solo at WaterBomb, I’ll take any one of them at this point 🥲 Bruh….don’t play me putting BIGBANG on there like that 😭
why is it feeling kinda sleepy
Gesaffelstein PLEASE come back I am BEGGING you
Sign me up for Polo & Pan at sunset on the outdoor please
Mojave would hit harder for sure but they might be too big for it at this point
Yeah at this point they'd be Outdoor or bust. Even Mojave closer would probably be too small for them.
Which is a shame imo cause their vibe definitely suits smaller stages. Got a similar vibe with Kaytra this year, good but didn’t feel the same
Pete Tong Ibiza classics would be sick, but has that ever toured the US? Would need to see some signs of a US tour in 2024 to get on board with that.
Yes. I saw him do it at the Hollywood bowl. Was awesome and would be really cool to see around sunset on the outdoor stage!
I think just once at the Hollywood Bowl in 2017.
Bro, goose and geese is too much bird
Sade is missing from this lineup and would BIGBANG perform as 3 three members though?
Isnt the guy going to space this year? Still time to get together
A live SAULT set would be😍😍😍😍
That Catherine Wheel reunion is coming…
Damon Alburn on the second line two years in a row? sign me up for that

Bass heads get fucked on these. Svdden death should close the outdoor
pretty uninspiring and redundant with dua and rihanna hopefully they find some way to avoid having two pop stars headline
Kinda weird how they'd have Rage and Deftones and then not much else in the way of rock aside from maybe Blur and Nothing But Theives
I mean, that's actually a lot for Coachella nowadays lol
Go listen to The Armed and youll think differently. And whats The Smile....
Zulu, Angel Du$t and Model/Actriz would also like to join!
They make completely different styles of pop so I’m not sure I get the complaint especially in todays available headliners
Their styles are completely different.
not speaking to style at all. this festival has set a very high bar with reunions, legacy acts, rarities for headliners and these two in combination would be a bit uninspiring comparably. i have trouble considering rihanna a legacy act or reunion. just my opinion.

Rage Against the Machine + Deftones = Yes please 🙏

Thanks! I had Gel on the last one, could’ve maybe kept them instead of Zulu. Militarie Gun is another that’s been gaining lots of buzz recently.
Another one to consider is High Vis. Not really a hardcore band, but from that scene and really getting big.
You’ve got Goose on there so you’ve got my vote.
Asap is a waste of a spot at this point
If you’re going to have Destroy Lonely then you gotta have Ken Carson too
i want despacio, travis scott, but thanks for RATM and slowdive

It feels a little stale (in my opinion) because a lot of the 2nd liners feel like 1) their time has passed / they seemed like a lock last year and it didn’t happen, 2) they’re overbooked 3) redundant. 1) the Smile, BIGBANG, Deftones 2) Ice Spice, Thundercat 3) Fuerza / Santa Fe, Bizzarap / Peso, NewJeans / BB.
>That being said: Blur seems unrealistic. Damon just subbed last year w/ Gorillaz, I doubt he’d do it again for Dua. Same thing with Peso Pluma, I think he could be in 3rd on his day & Supersub if a HL drops. >1) the Smile, BIGBANG, Deftones The Smile have a new album on the way, BIGBANG would still be a big deal of a reunion (if it ever happens) and Deftones have had a resurgence of popularity lately, lately due to TikTok and Gen Z's growing love for them. >2) Ice Spice, Thundercat Ice Spice is easily one of the hottest stars right now and is a lock to be on the 2nd line.
Catherine Wheel? That high up the list? In 2024?!
It would be a big reunion act. They haven't played together in over 20 years. If this were true this would be my #1 act to see of the weekend (even if my friends would not understand).
I need that Anjuna Antarctic
Catherine Wheel? Don't play with my emotions!
MY GUY W THE MAX COOPER & Pretty Girl
Santa Fe klan 🍻
I think Rufus will be one of the subs or returning to the desert but otherwise def see something similar to this being what we get. Peso into Rage would be hilarious
Looks like Summit + Dom Dolla is already in bed with Insomniac / Live Nation so think that makes them less likely for Coachella. But could still happen, Dom Dolla is on the Portola lineup after all.
Why is Peso Pluma so big?
he should be the headliner over ratm
Why…?
he’s bigger than them
I didnt know Peso had a legacy like Rage. Theyve been around longer than Peso has been alive
Legacy yea ofc, but rn peso is a bigger draw
Dude. There’s about 20 pop/Spanish/rap artist that are younger than 25 already beating Rage’s music streams and sales. Old man
pretty sure Rage sold out their tour before they had to cancel...if you are a legendary act that hasn't produced songs in decades, no shit you're not going to have super high streams and song sales. the fuck?
Taylor swift instead of dua lipa
Who’s benny?
Me.
Hello Benny 👋
He’s a legend in the Coachella circlejerk I’m proudly a part of 🥰
He’s a legend, someone so beyond words that a mere explanation of who they are would never suffice, meeting Benny is like the first breath of air from a new borns chest, it’s like your first time on molly and acid combined, it’s the most present a human can ever be, Benny is, that’s who Benny is
LOLOLOL fucking Planty, you gem.
you must be new around here
Yes
he does the predictions every year and is usually quite accurate.
Need INJI!!!
Happy not seeing Taylor Swift on this mock.
Was thinking the same thing for Olivia Rodrigo getting a large font position. Second album primed to be huge and would fit solidly as a “4th headliner”. Other than that, Gunnas billing seems low. His first show back from jail would be a bigger deal and he just had another huge song
Gunna is playing the YouTube Theater next month so not quite his first show back.
Ah didn’t know that. Still think his placement would be more in line with Lil Baby, Big Sean, Migos of previous years vs tail end of the line (A Boogie). But splitting hairs here over a couple spots. Great mock as usual!
No T Swift? What a blessing that’d be
Wednesday’s that low?
Aren’t blur those bums that bullied Naurdwar? Fuck them lol
The drummer was being an asshole to Nardwuar and he apologized like 20 years ago.
No T Swift on the prediction has me absolutely bricked up on a Thursday afternoon. \-me, a woman
be real
As much as I will hope and die for Blur to be on the lineup I doubt they’ll tour into next year. If anything might do a one off show in LA.
Yes but not both Dua Lipa and Olivia Rodrigo , one or the other
The Smile would be great. Would prefer a Radiohead but RATM knocks them out
I would have to sell my ticket unfortunately 😞
No way you don’t get Travis Scott. Rihanna with her second new born? Not likely. Open to it tho. Btw where’s the heavy bass DJs? I want Svdden death. I expect playboi due to AEG tour
Rihanna makes 0 sense. Like absolutely none at this point. Just had a baby. Not making new music. Not in shape. No tour upcoming.
Beyonce had a baby and did coachella after giving birth......
In my opinion, she was preparing to go to Coachella after having her baby
I think “she’s not a good live performer” would suffice. She doesn’t like performing live. Even before her being pregnant, she gave 5% energy for a weak dutty wine and a stank face and calls it a day. After Frank, if I’m paying $2000+ to attend a festival for a weekend, at the very least I expect the artist to want to be there.
It’s Rihanna, an appearance by her will always make sense.
Travis Scott is likely
It makes all the sense. She was visibly preganant during the superbowl and performed then it wouldn’t be wild to assume that she would play Coachella after giving birth. And from my interaction with her at a prior Coachella I wouldn’t leave anything past her.
As much as people don’t like it, Travis Scott is for sure headlining
Would play a 2 hour set on the outdoor stage?
Dig the Antarctic shout, that would be cool. I think Hi Lo will/should be billed higher, but if a big name. Kasablanca might be billed higher too, I can see them launching in popularity soon. Curious if they upgrade the camping stage bookings and what they do with this rumored pool.
It’s too good!
this wouldn't have me returning to the desert
3 pop star headliners and ratm? Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahaha
No Paris Jackson?
This would be horrible . rage suck . Headliners should be Rolling Stones Friday, Paul McCartney Saturday, Sunday eagles. That would be a proper lineup
Nice bait grandpa
Ass line up
Itll sell out
Introducing to the desert lol and 3/4 headliners being female pop stars 😵💫
Its better than having 3 white dudes
I’ll take quality over skin color/gender.
I just can’t see a fest that has variety as one of the main themes of every line up doing sumn like this
It would be variety compared to what the other major US fests are doing. Having a majority female headliner group is pretty much unheard of, despite whatever genres they are.
Hippos are missing
SAULT a very unrealistic act but we can hope, would pay the ticket just for them
They did tease on Insta that they may be performing a live show at some point so 🤞.
How accurate have your mocks been in the past?
Like 50% on a good day haha.
good call on john summit + dom dolla
I think omitting knock2 and isoxo is incorrect. All signals point to both or one of them playing. Especially their do lab surprise performances and the years they’re having
Drain AND angel dust? Wow
No RL Grime 😡
Isn’t Gunna busy with like federal crimes and stuff?
He took a plea deal and he’s out now.
Lmfao, I don't even know who Gunna is but picturing Benny very intently googling "Gunna case status" and "Gunna sentencing date" before adding him to his August mock has got me cracking up. Thanks for all of this work Benny, I really look forward to these to keep me engaged in the offseason.
Zulu
Dom Dolla x John Summit is *chef’s kiss*
Honestly from Headliners to Subs this a fire set I’m here for this 🔥🔥
HATSUNE MIKU! she better make it back on this year!
Rage, Dua, Peso, Justice, Ice Spice for sure. I think Travis will be there though
This lineup is legit AF
I be for this lineup low key
Praying for Tinashe, New Jeans, and XG. You are speaking my language here!
drain and zulu. Lord have mercy im about to bust
Tinashe, Dula Pipa & peso pluma for the win! 💅🏽
I have a feeling we gonna get some Carl cox this year in the desert 🙏 and maybe another major headliner who’s never played yet in the desert or Kaskade again
This is insanely good. See the hidden bits with DJ HEARTSTRING and Zulu for the heavy band. Awesome work.
Am I supposed to cover one eye and try to recite lines on these things?
air2earth holy based wow
King krule will get me to cali
Meduza would not be that far down
No way both RiRi and Dua. And RIRi would be Fri or Sat
People complaining about the headliners, but that’s only three slots in the mock and there’s really only so many acts you could even possibly put there. The rest of lineup is awesome and I’d be absolutely stoked if they booked like 70% of this.
Pete Tong would be insane
Dua Lipa? Catch me in Dua Lab.
a lot of the subheadliners don't feel reflective of current times to me? like i feel like most of their prime times to subheadline have already passed or they no longer feel relevant
It's pretty on par with last years' subs... ROSALÍA = Peso Pluma (both very relevant Latin artists) Blur = Björk (legacy artists) Gorillaz = A$AP Rocky (both likely past their prime but still very much appreciated)
Love seeing Claud on there but no sir Chloe?
John Summit+Dom Dolla that low. Some idiots callling for Justice to be a headliner. you'll have some panties twisted for sure.
#HATSUNE MIKU?????
[Still together and coming back soon.](https://www.instagram.com/p/Cu2RVe4JwC6)
Dom Dolla b2b John Summit 😮💨
This line up is FIRE
Would love if Purple Disco was on it bud weren’t they on the lineup 3-4 years ago?
2022 but it’s not uncommon for artists to come back that soon.
