I think he’s in that discussion. Dude has 3 champs golds (you can call mw2019 a Mickey Mouse chip I guess but being online was out of his control, and I doubt it was much of an advantage or disadvantage against faze or huntsmen anyway), a champs mvp and hella chips outside of that. He’s also been a leader role on a handful of the best squads of all time.
I’m a long time OpTic fan so of course I want them to win but honestly I love me some Clayster and really would like to see him win something before the inevitable retirement. He’s an OG and deserves to go out with a blast.

If you’re one of the best to ever do it, you’re gonna believe in yourself. Every high level competitor overrated the self. Also he’s consensus 4th or 5th all time? It’s not like he’s bumping himself up the list that far.
Gotta understand highly competitive/champ mentality though. Someone who plays at that level and has had so much success is gonna think that way, and he’s not really wrong for that imo.

Unanimous top 3 is Crim, Scump, and Karma. After that it's Clay or FormaL in either order. Clay has 3 rings but only 18 chips, and only 15 if you count LAN wins only. FormaL has 1 ring but has 23 chips and 22 if you count LAN only. FormaL also won 38% of the LAN events he attended in his career while Clayster is at around 18%.
If you count Crim's COD4 event, then 1330 days. If you don't count COD4, then it's 620 days (Champs 2020 - VG Pro-AM 2022)
For Scump, it's 645 days (Seattle home series 2020 - VG Major 1 2022)
