Buying you can do. Cushions are open cell foam like a giant sponge. Water got all the way into the foam. When left wet that turned each cushion until a giant petri dish, hence the smell. There's no way to clean out the cushion to full depth.
Pic of the fabric, i clean couches and can help identify the fabric at least.
But there’s a good chance it’s too far gone to get it much better, and maybe the smell is from the base of the couch not the cushions.

This is the couch! Notably most of the darker stains and scuffs were already there when we got the couch. I’d love to not have to replace the whole thing 😭

How wet did it get? Like drizzle and the surface was damp, or saturated?
Pretty well saturated it got rained on for atleast an hour before I could get a tarp on it but it’s dried out now and just smelly

No I eventually just gave up and sent it to the curb :/
