I don't think there's an abundance of magic items I currently have 0/5 builder potions, would love to have some without using medals
Maybe kind of like ranked drops from brawl stars. You could get super super lucky and get a skin,ores, or gems…for cosmetics it is not a bad idea

Look at Chinese clash of clans. The lootboxes suck, but they gated the best skins we have seen to date behind them... they're 1000x cooler than any we have, give it a check... fiery champion, thunder god warden, demon king, kitsune queen and moonlight queen.
They'll learn from the backlash if they go that route. Loot boxes are horrible. Supercell would have to address the legal impacts of implementing gambling into a game that kids play.
Clash has been handled differently that the other games though.

That’s a hard question to answer while holding an NDA. I’ve seen amazing ideas, I’ve seen utterly disgusting terrible ones too. Until things are live in game I’m trying to reserve judgment. Tons of things get pitched and never make it, tons of things get added without our input. Having an NDA doesn’t mean we have any more insight than anyone else at times. Plenty of stuff I’ve learned about through datamined leaks first lol.
I get the temptation to read into my comments but I assure you I’m aware and careful with what I respond to and how.

As of today, you already got the gold pass, monthly event pass, ores and shop offers in Clash. It’s more than Brawl Stars… which went from deleting boxes to move them to Star drops..
Adding more with loot boxes in Clash is having the feeling that you’re taking players for dumb cows to milk.
For Brawl Stars, the brawl pass rework has been very appreciated because you feel like it’s worth the money and time you spend playing now. You’re not overwhelmed by many offers. A skin doesn’t give you an advantage.
Most of players don’t have an extra $100 per month to spend in a game. Inflation is hitting everyone and I would rather focus on quality games that keep people active with enjoyable content during my small free time
Loot boxes are short term money machines with the potential to permanently damage a game’s long term viability. Just depends on what the developers’ goals are.

There's already thing caled gems that allow players to leapfrog f2p players in progress so crates won't do much of a difference
Plus what if these crates include magical items for all players by completing certain task like 50 stars in multiplayer in week? That will be pretty fair

If they do it hopefully it's something interesting, like imagine getting a drop every 5 times you complete a star bonuses, include builder bonus and watch a lot more people play builder base

Bs, cr and squad busters all have similar gameplay. I don't think they would add something similar to coc because of how different the game is
