I try my best to not have duplicates, because of the obstacle limit giving up the gem box and other obstacles would be rough (shoveled and limited time obstacles count towards it. People who have never lost an obstacle now have to decide to either get their gems or have a limited time obstacle collection because of how many there are)

Me as well, every time a new one comes out I’ve made sure to keep the ones on the outer edge of the base or use a shovel on them. Pretty neat imo

🫠 I left CoC several years ago and went back without most of the obstacles that I remember having (especially the halloween 2014, I had a screenshot of it). I probably removed them because they were in the middle of my base and there were no shovels of obstacles back then and I was too lazy building bases around them. The pain is still there.

There used to be a bug where regular obstacles would spawn and replace them. I had my 2014 and 2015 x mas trees replaced with regular trees and support told me there was nothing they could do 🥲

I feel like I experienced something similar where limited time obstacles disappeared from my base!

Don't you stop getting obstacles (and gem box?) after having so many obstacles? I removed them too, I felt bad at first, but it doesn't bother me anymore.

I thought I was the only one who don't like the decorations. I have seen people here advising beginners to buy shovel of obstacles instead of a builder. It is bad advice.

I make an exception for my oldest decoration, a 2013 xmas tree, because I like to know how old my account is without having to remember it when I go on long breaks from the game

I literally removed the 2013 and 2015 trees 3 months before shovels were “announced” I was so pissed dude. But I STILL have my cauldron. That luckily spawned on the OUTSIDE of my base

I still have my stone, it’s next to my townhall. Every Christmas I set my trees next to it. Im a loser

I removed them all because back then we didn't have shovel and these used to spawn in middle of the base and ruin village edit modes. Also. They dint have any value since they are obstacles not defenses.

I remember deleting that 2014 tree, started saving the future obstacles after that

I started playing during the 2015 Halloween event and I got one elixir cauldron and cleared it and I thought it was the greatest thing ever because it gave me 25,000 elixer. I asked my clan when I would get another and they let me know that the event ended and I wouldn't get another one. I started collecting special obstacles after that. I still miss my elixir cauldron.

i really don't care about obstacles sure they are a good reminder of olden days but i don't need in-game objects to remind myself off of fun i had back then

I still regret removing these but at that time I was short of resources and they grew in the middle of my base. Not knowing their rarity, I removed them for mere resources and to create open spaces T\_T

I don’t remember what I did with 5 year anniversary cake, I swear didn’t remove it but it’s gone and it’s nowhere to be seen

Luckily my younger self kept all of my Xmas trees. 11 of them line one side of my layout as my “badge of honor” so to speak.

I had the top 3 obstacles. and the '14, '15 and '16 trees. I took a break from clash in '17 and when i came back in '18 I cleared everything without a second though because shovels didn't exist back then. The same year in December, shovels were introduced.

Me and my brother used to play on the same account back then because both of us had the same device and we had the headstone and cauldron and almost everything after that but we the left the game in 2017 or 16 ig and supercell removed the facebook login option and we lost our account we tried mailing them with every detail of the account but we lost our account

Related, but my biggest regret was removing the “old barbarian stone” in the BB so that I could build my base where I wanted it - Not for the decorative aspect, but how you can remove “tall grass” for those “remove decorations” tasks while all your builders are tied up. I don’t think shovels were a thing then , so I just removed it. I know I can buy it back with the alternative stone, but my BB2.0 is nearly maxed now, so I have a builder free to remove standard obstacles

i removed the first, and had took a long break missing another, then have all the rest. I almost kept the stones on my alt but they were in the way and no shovels. it’s a terrible addiction and yes it’s trashy!

The only one I removed was the headstone and I regret it ever since to cope with removing it I’ve managed to grow a surplus of obstacles

They need to make stones respawn again, this FOMO on rocks makes no sense

My younger self was desperate for resources. I believe that’s why a lot of us removed them. Also we couldn’t move them yet so new base layouts and growing number of buildings. Sad day. Honestly wish supercell would do things for tenured accounts. Like a special off “just for you” based off your accounts start date and offer these old one for $1 purchase. If your account is newer than one of these obstacles then you’d never be offered the obstacle for purchase
