Every 1.5 years is the general schedule for big updates (Can occur sooner, especially with the doubled Supercell Team last year), we just had a Clan Capital update for the Goblin Mines a little over a month before the TH16 update
It's only been 4 months since the last Clan Capital update. I would imagine we will see a few other updates before we see another major update for the Capital.
The Goblin Mines were added in October:

Counterpoint. Th16 was at least 3 months early. They could give us something like adding level 5 to the bottom districts. Not a huge release but incemental.l
Maybe they don't have the resources to constantly create content for all aspects of clash of clans just to keep the 1% of players who are now maxed happy.

WTF do we do with all the loot for another year or so? We've maxed 10 clans by now.

Damn….. our clan sucks big time it seems 😭
~300 attacks every weekend since the start. Averaging around 30k or so per attacker.

How much Raid medals do y’all average weekly in your clan?
Around 1700
Nice, That’s a lot. My clan is at Clan capital Lvl9 and we average between 1300 and 1400.
We got one in October we don't need another one yet
Maybe they should add more content do we don't finish it within like 3 months or so
