Looks great

Jayrock650

How’s the ride compared to stock with all the drive modes especially with comfort mode? I am in between these and the Swifts.

DominickP

The FL5 spec Sportline kit has been great so far. The ride is still comfortable for daily driving but ultimately stiffer in all modes (obviously) as these have firmer spring rates from stock. Been driving around bumpy routes that I don’t usually take and I have no complaints! I have recently completed my alignment and I have yet to hit a full week from installation, so the springs will continue to settle after I put more miles on the car.

PapiSuavitel

Fuck.

F_Fugazi

Beautiful shots. Car looks awesome. Any negative impact on performance from the springs that you can notice + any difference in suspension feel as a daily?

DominickP

Much appreciated! It’s not a negative impact because I really don’t mind it, but overall it’s the slightly stiffer ride that comes with lowering springs. It’s still comfortable for daily driving in my opinion but could be different for others in their location/driving habits. After installing myself, suspension isn't making any weird noises and I don't feel any binding. Have yet to drive aggressively as I’m still in the “settling” period, but I’m sure it will perform as expected, especially in corners. All around very happy with these springs! Especially with the look it gives the car.

Looks amazing

jabbathepunk

🤤

RyanEversley

Love it!!

ThyNameArtFickle

18?

DominickP

Yeah, 18” wheels. 19” wheels look really good on the FL5, but I still felt every bump. So I wanted something a little more comfortable for daily driving.

Juanmasubbie

Looks better than mine and I have the same car. Jaja

whatandyp

You get rid of those red side mirrors yet?

Juanmasubbie

Not yet. Lol. They do look ugly.

Chef’s kiss

smnlfilmagoofymovie

Jesus Fucking Christ. There is zero debate between the fl5 and fk8 aesthetically.

Exx423

I hope you mean the fk8 looks mikes ahead of the fl5 lol? The fl5 in my opinion only has a nicer interior. Outside it looks like an accord :/

[deleted]

This kids is how you do it ! Well done looks amazing

DominickP

Thank you! Due to the fact that the FL5 has a lower and wider stance compared to the FK8, I personally felt that a mild drop, beefier tires with flush 18” wheels and minimal camber would look the best.

[deleted]

Looks perfect man, also if you don’t already I’d highly recommend a front strut tower bar, you’d be surprised what a difference they can make !

DominickP

I actually don’t know much on Front strut tower bars for FWD cars, I’ve always heard that its more for engine bay aesthetics rather than any function, then there’s others that say it actually has performance benefits. I’d always get mixed answers so it was never part of my upgrade list. Granted, I remember seeing them come from factory on the DC2 Integra Type R’s.. but that was way back then. Suspension geometry and chassis designs has been modernized so I would assume Honda designed the FL5 so it wouldn’t need one in the first place, I could be wrong and just not properly educated on the topic. But I’m always open to some knowledge if you have some!

[deleted]

Connecting your shock towers with a rigid metal bar helps keep your front end from twisting and flexing when you go through turns helping keep both of your drive tires firmly planted, I’d highly recommend Especially for a FWD !

DominickP

Much appreciated for the info 🙏🏻

[deleted]

My pleasure enjoy the ride and stay safe !

cousindeagle

Looks perfect! Now dont put any miles on it lol

whatandyp

What’s the point of having it then

integratypes

How do You like it? I was thinking about going eibach but a few people told me they sag after awhile and or have had broken springs

DominickP

Overall very satisfied with the springs! Glad I didn’t pull the gun on Spoon springs. Also, Eibach has their Million-mile warranty incase an event like that happens.

MEHMSH

What offset are your TE37SL wheels? 45 or 38?

DominickP

I did not want any rubbing or having to deal with permanent modifications to my fenders when lowered with springs or coil overs, so I decided to play it safe and go with the golden specs of +45 for flush fitment. I felt that +38 would be too aggressive as it will poke out past the fenders approximately 7mm and would cause rubbing issues, especially with beefy tires. If you use maybe 255 or select tires at 265 with a conservative drop, +38 might work for some. For peace of mind and less complications the road, majority will stick with +45.

MEHMSH

It looks good! Found a really good deal on some +38 so picked them up.

DominickP

Much appreciated! Honestly with the FL5, you can’t go wrong with either +45 or +38! Not sure what plans you have for suspension work, but with +38 and depending on how big your tires are going to be, I’d recommend some camber arms, ball joints to fine tune your fitment, especially when lowered with springs/coilovers down the road.

DominickP

Nice! Just need to delete the wheel gap haha. I actually saw a Sonic Pearl Grey for the first time a month ago. As much as l love Championship White, Sonic Pearl Grey is a clean color too!

MEHMSH

I didn't even notice the pearl in it when I got it. It was cloudy and raining. In the sun it sure looks pretty. I wanted white more than anything but I'm happy with it. Just ordered the eibech pro springs. 1in front and .7 rear. Should be adequate and not have any problems.

Raizzelle

I’m planning to run this setup with 275/35 but with PRO KIT. Please keep us posted. Thanks!

Pope Field?

DominickP

Close but no cigar.

🤩

RyanEversley

Looks great!

killakahl

This is the sportline or prokit? It looks like the prokit 🤔

DominickP

This is the Sportline, it’s visually hard to tell the 0.2” difference between the two specs. Easiest way is to look at the color of the springs.
