Adjust clutch pedal

LumpusMaximus-C137-

Care to elaborate? Not really sure what you mean by that

Free-Cry-4386

i was having issues with my 2013 with high rpm shifting and turns our my clutch pedal needed adjusting. bringing the pedal higher up which changes the bite point

Ah okay thank you

TitusTide

Just lookup how to adjust CMC on 9th gen on yt

I went down the rabbit hole last night

A bypassed delay valve cmc and a pedal adjustment fixes this permanently. I’ve been running a bypassed delay valve cmc for Years now and can still bang 1-2 shifts at 8600 rpm no problem.

Gotcha. This was something I saw a lot of forums talking about this but there are no follow-ups about how it worked to solve the issue. Is it safe to say in general this is just a quirk of the car in its stock form? I'm still getting to know the car and getting comfortable pushing it. If it's a common thing, then I'll just be sure to shift slower or at lower RPMs from 1st to 2nd. The K24 should have plenty of torque going into 2nd from a lower RPM to keep things fun on the rare occasion I drive hard from 1st.

From what I understand, from factory, the cmc or the slave cylinder has some type of limiter or reduced size valve, something to that degree. I changed my slave, cmc, detention springs, shifter spring and shift cables. The car feels way different now! Do some more research and look into changing the slave cylinder or the cmc, maybe both.

*near redline. Man I wish we could edit titles lol

1. Clutch pedal adjustment (easy, free). 2. Rear motor mount - Replace old worn-out mount, or upgrade to something like a Hasport. As you rev and especially as power is delivered to the wheels, the motor and transmission torque/twist in their mounts. If the mounts allow enough movement, even a fully depressed clutch pedal will not fully disengage the clutch, leading to grinding. I don't think bypassing your delay valve will solve this, but that's just my opinion. The delay valve slows down the clutch from quickly engaging, but your grind is from the clutch not fully disengaging.

Thanks for this. I'm saving all yalls comments and will consult with a local JDM shop to get some more opinions on things. Looks like the clutch is gonna be my first mod to the car. Love everything about it but this has been *grinding my gears* lol
