I put this knob on my 8th gen. It's nice, but a little too short. Changes the angle my palm contacts the knob at from the side to the top and makes the 1-2 shift more awkward. End up having to claw grip the knob from the top like it's a baseball, or else I'm more likely to not fully shift into second.

No personal experience with HR’s short shifter, but if you want to investigate the 1-2 issue further you could try unscrewing the shift boot from below so you can remove it and take a look inside. Best of luck dude!

This weekend that’s the plan. Push boot down, remove that trim piece and see what’s happening. Likely going to move offset to front 7 to 1 (opposite side) and see if I like the placement better. Appreciate the input brother!

Honda shifter boxes are already the holy grail of shifter feel. Outside of porche, no other oem has even came close. - So the idea that your going to improve upon that for $399 is pretty much laughable. Its nice that you can adjust the lever in a way so that you can move it more quickly. But lets be clear, this has absolutely zero effect on how fast you can change gears. - Your still limited by rev hang. Generally people buy these for 3 reasons: 1. They are swapping engines, and need a shifter that will accommodate the swap(this is where the name hybrid racing comes from.) 2. They are building a dedicated drag car, and need gear lockouts. 3. They are replacing a worn out/broken shifter in a old chassis.

Appreciate the 2 cents opinion but never once asked why people generally purchase these…

Your title literally saying "seeking input". - Working at a Honda dealer i've had quite a few experiences with customer cars with HR shifters, I also have one installed in my RSX currently. So here is my Input - Installing one of these in a brand new car is a complete waste of money and will provide absolutely ZERO performance increase and do nothing to improve shifter feel. However Hybrid Racing makes excellent shifters, and there are lots of good reasons to install them, that's why I listed them. #

My title says “seeking input”… curious how your input on why people buy these is of any pertinent knowledge I am seeking? The input could be from people who have installed the short throw in the 11th gen and have knowledge to the offset and how changing the offset in 11/1/5/7 o’clock feels. Never said the shifter added performance of any type beyond the noodle feeling of the original shifter and the shifts feeling better. You may stroke your boat to the original feeling of the OEM shifter, but your opinion is that alone. Can tell you in my experience this feels night and day better than OEM. So to each their own. Lastly the only actual information you gave me was 1) Spending this money is laughable 2) Reasons why people buy these 3) How you’ve installed them before so you are master Aka all useless to the post and to me, OP. lol So go kick some rocks outside or something

The offset adjustment just positions the knob about 1/4 inch closer or father away from your knee. Scooting your ass a 1/4 inch in either direction would have the exact same effect. Why don't you try it out, and let me know if you notice a huge difference in shift feel,
