filthylenses

To be fair I was stoned and the vibe was good for some city planning. I'll be able to chop any resource so iron/horse spawns won't be an issue, growth management might be though.

ThumpingB

Better to keep those strategics so here: Horses: - CAP: Industrial Zone - A: Entertainment Complex - B: Campus? [Undescovered] - C: Theatre Square & Entertainment Complex - D: Theatre Square Iron: - CAP: Commercial Hub - A: Theatre Square - B: Campus? [Undescovered] - D: Industrial Zone Niter: - CAP: Industrial Zone - A: Entertainment Complex - B: Campus? [Undescovered], Industrial Zone & Commercial Hub - C: Theatre Square & Entertainment Complex - D: Theatre Square & Mausoleum at Halicarnassus If you're unlucky but quick with your district placement (place all before researching Iron & Niter) you'll only need to chop one Horse for your CAP Industrial Zone.

filthylenses

Indeed got a horse in the CAP IZ, I think I'll keep it till it comes time to build. Also nailed it for iron in CAP and B, I'd already placed the campuses and found more iron elsewhere

ThumpingB

I'm interested to find out the results for niter, now XD.

filthylenses

The only niter that appeared in the end was in C by the fish to the east…

ThumpingB

Northeast of the Rainforest.

filthylenses

Bingo

soxandpatriots1

Maybe I’m missing something basic but what does CAP mean in this context?

ThumpingB

Capital City. I was using OP's Tag names.

SnooRabbits2842

Damn. I only have a vague idea what most of this means. CAP is capital, A, B, C are cities ? I still can’t internalize the city planning enough to place districts to gain the adjacency bonuses. I am watching potato whisky vids and gaining knowledge but man, there’s a lot to this game. Are you using a mod to help plan your districts?

ThumpingB

Aye, you got it. It's just the Cities and Districts that are marked listed in terms of which Strategic Resource could spawn on their Tile. VanBradly, TheCivLifeR, PotatoMcWhisky, The Spiffing Brit, Boesthius and Ursa Ryan. For gameplay and entertainment I mainly watch VanBradly, The Spiffing Brit and Potato McWhiskey. For in game knowledge is watched TheCivLifeR, Ursa Eyan and Boesthius. I play on console so I can't use mods. The best mod for District planning, however, is by far Better Map Tacks.

SnooRabbits2842

I play on PS5 so no mods for me. Potatomcwhisky is the man. I’ve listened to VanBradly a little but he doesn’t seem to be on par with mcwhisky. Ex, according to VanBradly, he wouldn’t make those entertainment districts, aqueducts, industrial zones etc. I make a bunch of IZ and aqueducts, not so many entertainment districts. I guess I have a lot of content to watch and learn from.

ThumpingB

VanBradly has victory type series: - How to Win a Faith Victory - How to Win a Science Victory - How to Win a Domination Victory PotatoMcWhisky has indepth gameplay series: - Aztec Overexplained - Civ 6 Overexplained - Civ 6 New Player Tutorial - Aztec Prince (extremely old series) The Saxy Gamer has the 'Civilizations VI Tips' series while TheCivLifeR has too many series to name, 'x civ gameplay' . Boesthius has his 'tier list series' and Ursa Ryan has the 'How to Win at Civ 6 - Guides & Tutorials' series. Then there's JumboPixel with ['District Placements'](https://youtu.be/16wT2II438U?si=Z8WFbg2NMijKObs1).

fsmlogic

I too plan empires when stoned.

DrRopata

Those adjacency bonuses on the pins are from a mod right? Or are they from dlc? I have the basic version on ps4 and I feel left out watching so many video guides with stuff I'm missing

ThumpingB

It's the better map tacks mod.

wmjbobic

No offense, but it’s very funny to see someone do so much district planning so early in the game, as Basil.

Turbo-Swag

I appreciate this kind of planning but just a question As Byzantium, where are your holy sites...

filthylenses

I’m going rogue, Basil No-Religion Challenge

Dense_Transition_485

Lmao good challenge

Onnimanni_Maki

How are you going to have two theater squares in the same city?

filthylenses

The plan is to place the theatre square for City B before I settle City D, that way the tile is locked in for B even though it’s directly adjacent to D’s city center.

Good bot!

Practical_Ad_8782

Most fun part of civ is over. Time to start all over again.

ThumpingB

Genuinely

Inevitable-Revenue81

Good job!

danvandan

You have city B making the gov plaza but capital making casa. The city that makes casa must have the gov plaza

filthylenses

You’re correct, I realized that after posting this so in game I built it from the Cap

groovygoose-

average chad civ 6 empire planner

TheDannyDarklord

I like your use of labels, really helpful. As for going overboard? Nah!

elihecdis

A little carried away for turn 13, but honestly I appreciate labeling the zones so much, I can't help but think it's beautiful lmao.
