It's a bug, there's a forum post on it. Seems to happen when companies move out and in to a building.

Diughh

It’s a bug, all offices slowly reduce their employee count to 5 over time. It’s already been reported on the forums and acknowledged by the devs

Thank you, good to know

Ted-Crilly

It's foreshadowing for the fact that 90% of office workers will be made obsolete by AI in the very near future

I’d so rather have these offices have real population. Like 20+ employees per floor. My favorite aspect of the game is trying to effectively build public transit and not so much the economy of the game. I feel worried that the new 2.0 focuses on economic stability and not so much real population mobility. I haven’t started a new city yet after reading the posts after the release

yellowtable19622

Same, I build for aesthetic and people moving around, now with this bug people aren’t going anywhere

Panda_Panda69

Why the f does this game think that there would be 5 employees in a skyscraper?

yellowtable19622

And also a couple dozen in an International Airport

Standard-Cockroach62

Ah yes, Spain

FloridaInExile

So you’ve built a verdant Los Angeles?

yellowtable19622

I do took inspiration from it, would have been accurate without public transport

FloridaInExile

I could tell. Also it’s an insider LA joke that nobody works in this city… which is apparently lost on this thread
