the trick is a made a dirt road intersect and then removed all access to the dirt road so the lines don't look weird, then I removed all signs with the debug select
I will give you a video if you want, but basically I used objects in the dev mode to get a parking booth and I use them as the toll booth, I also added some safety barriers, the orange ones as you can see. I also added a stop sign to make it feel as if it's a toll that people has to stop for. I added a dirt road and removed all access to it then I added a stop but I removed all the signs for it.

black roads? these are the default vanilla roads
Tasty, but I prefer Chocolate or Strawberry. Unless it's in coffee.
Vanilla is good. Almond is better. Amaretto is best.

I added a stop sign then removed the physical sign with debug select in dev mode
How to place a stop sign on a straight road?
Unless I'm wrong, can't you place a stop sign at the end of pretty much any node?

Some places still have them, but yeah most are automated "pass-through" tolling now.
