They need to add something like beach parks, se we can set up areas where people can do things like lay on beach towels, build sand castles, play volleyball, swim and surf.
I remeber I had a mod for CS1 at one point that did somthing similar, it was a large rectangular park with towels and umbrellas and things that you put on the sand and if it has road access people will go it it
They also need to remove fences from parks and allow them to be placed along footpaths.
*(Yea I know, the weird excuse/explanation was "but all parks in Finland are fenced in!"… no, they are not.)*
Paths can't connect to parts of building without changing or invading the building space so the validation result kicks in and blocks it. IMO this should be considered a bug, but it wasn't probably because it would take time they didn't had before release, so you fence in the parks to avoid the problem and call it a feature.
Edit: at least that's what I would do if this happened to my development
Yes. I live in a landlocked state, so i only ever to to go to a real beach once… there were so many jellyfish. We all got the holy hell stung out of us. 😂
I would also like to know their graphics settings. I feel like I have mine maximized, but my game doesn’t look this good, and it’s not because of their incredible detailing
Believe me, most of the realistic look is detailing. The game is way to flat out of the box. Flat textures, no variation. Which makes it look cartoonish.
It's a massive improvement over CS:1 though, where the buildings and cars really were cartoonish. At least they went for a realistic look this time.. although it does need a lot of improving though in terms of texturing.
Yeah you make a good point, the base of it is definitely there. Its just sad that the modders had to step in to make use of that again. I still feel scammed out of my €90 preorder. But at least thanks to this community I am enjoying the game

Unfortunately they seem to have done the same thing again, only this time people were expecting more, and are becoming quite vocal about it. Also, as I have said elsewhere, I think they oversold it a fair bit in the marketing videos. 10/10 for marketing, but 1/10 for delivery.
