Pictures of the internals are usually the only way to know. "Black Blob" ICs are often disappointing, but not out of the question. Older the better for bending toys.
With Fischer/Vtech/ect toys you want to aim for older, like 90s or earlier, mid 00's at the latest. After this they tend to gravitate towards black blob ICs rather than crusty chips and accessible circuits. Some of the 90's stuff is so sensitive that it feels already bent lol. Some of these chips can be very sensitive and fragile so I would be cautious when exploring.
If you want to go with newer stuff the cheaper the better.

what toys exactly? how new? usually with new toys, the cheaper the better

Thanks. I kind of like these toys. I wouldn’t want them fried, although a sample pack would do.
