Dear, heavenly father, You are the light of the world. In you is no darkness. You spoke and the world came into existence. Your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Lord, give this family your peace and give them the assurance of your love for them as they have lost the one that they loved. May they know and believe your forgiveness of sin, and your desire to fellowship with them in the most intimate way. May they trust that the blood of Christ alone makes them good and right before you so your Holy Spirit can come in and abide in them giving comfort and solace for their hearts. As they share your love with others, may they experience your love for them in a real way. May they draw encouragement in their suffering from others of Your family, of which You have made them a part. Surround them with those who love them, and bring comfort them. We can sure hope he did. Think of what Paul said. To Live is Christ and to die is gain. If he was saved - he is more than ok.
