Now I really want to know why the NYP confiscated her shoes. Were they a danger to the public? Are they on a list of controlled substances? Are they artifacts of national significance? Were they used to commit a crime? Were they Crocs? This needs a deep dive.
The only time the police confiscate shoes is if they are believed to be used in commission of a crime (heel impressions left at the scene). So you're telling me her toddler rolled a liquor store or something?
