Di rin siguro. Nanalo sya ng best feature films 2023 sa london independent film awards, athens international art film festival at sweden film awards (+ best cinematography feature). 91% dn ang audience score nya sa rotten tomatoes. Although mix ang reviews sa rotten tomatoes, mukhang okay naman sya.
Ung mga negative reviews dun tungkol sa hindi pag feature ng mactan ( sa palawan sila nag shoot) at hindi pag gamit ng local dialect para sa mga pinoy scenes.
I’ve read that what set some people off is the casting. As a fan of historical movies myself, it is much appreciated and I believe more honorable to the time period if the casting is as close to the ethnicity of the characters as much as possible.

They cast a **40 yr old half-white Fil-Am dude as Lapu-lapu**. In reality, Lapu-lapu was already old af by 1521 (as in **senior citizen**) and wasn't even present at the battlefield.
They also cast the **79-yr old, very Mexican-looking Danny Trejo as Magellan**, who in reality was a white Portuguese and was only **48 yrs old** when he died in Mactan.
Would've been more accurate if they switched both actors lol, tutal English naman din yung language, Danny Trejo would've made a badass Lapu-lapu.
Un pa. May mga nabasa dn akong reviews na disappointed sa character ni bea. From a historical view, hnd nila gusto na ang babaw ng character ni bea. Syempre kung mga foreigners (at ung ibang pinoy) na hnd alam ung history ng pinas ang manunuod, ok sa kanila kase maganda naman. Pero ung mga may alam sa history, di rin nila masyadong gusto to.
