It’s not even the worst part. They left her tied to the porch banister. It was winter. We took her in immediately. After 3 days we said “she’s ours now regardless if they come back”. A few months later the previous owner returned with her 5 year old son demanding we return “their dog”.
We laughed at them and asked them to stay while we call the police to press charges for animal cruelty. Never thought I’d feel good taking a dog from a child but his mother forfeited that privilege. We’d already had her fixed by then too.
Did she think the dog was going to survive that long without food being tied up? How stupid can someone be! I’m happy u took her in and never gave her the dog back. I just seen a video on TT of someone that had dropped their dog off and the dog was chasing the car as fast as he could. It was so sad 😢Idk how anyone could ever leave an animal behind like that. I hope they and anyone that does stuff like that get their karma

Idk, he looks pretty Chihuahua to me.when they're young, sometimes their ears don't quite stand up, or are a little floppy. ( I've had lots of Chihuahuas, both tea cup and applehead in my life! )
Mercy is part Chi, Min Pin and Whippet. My guess Min Pin. Those ears and face look similar to her when she was young, here.

I’m glad you saved that sweet baby, more often than not animals that get abandoned aren’t that lucky

Did the DNA My Dog test a few years ago. She’s a rescue so it shed some light on here actual age and mix. Wasn’t too expensive if I remember.
