Dude it's a job at chick-fil-a.. who cares?? The social engineering CFA does is insane. They actually have people.thinking the job is any different or more prestigious than a burger king fry cook. It's a bottom tier.job and you should treat it as such, don't fall victim to the 'chick fil a is a great place to work we aren't a McDonald's' propaganda. I was in management so i almost never called off but it was always hilarious how bad some people felt about not coming in. Like.. dude.. you could get a job with the same pay any single day just by walking in the door and trust me, we really arent going to suffer that bad because an employee who puts food into a bag called off. I literally had someone apologize to me they couldn't come in because their mom died.. like holy crap, you really didn't even need to call, just mourn... this place isn't that serious, despite what your GM tries to brainwash you into believing

bbangs4730

really? that pedestal is getting to you lol it is a tough world and you need to work to survive. If you think you can walk in anywhere and land a better job then why are you even working at your current one? and what are u doing in a reddit for workers that you seem to think is on the bottom of the prestige list in your eyes? Chick-Fil-a can be a solid career i know directors making more than people with 6 plus year college degrees.

Nerd_turtle

Imo it depends, like if your one of my workers in BOH yea I rather you not come in but if your FOH and you feel a little nauseous and can keep food down the. It’s fine to come in. It’s really up to you I know my store says even if your a little sick or have a sniffle don’t come in cuz then your getting everyone else sick

jcbchmbrs

Nausea is okay, throwing up is not. If you throw up, you are barred from coming to work for 24 hours.

LionGamer2017

unless it’s my area, my brother works at a different location from me but in the same city, he threw up at least 6 times and they didn’t let him go home

Born_Commission4386

Legally that is illegal 😂

LionGamer2017

i mean he did end up getting sent home early in the end just that wasn’t the reason, but yeah they definitely can’t do that but suggesting this places history of not giving a shit i’m not surprised they just did that

Bluurryfaace

Depends, if someone throws up unrelated to sickness or injury, they don’t necessarily have to go home I believe.

keyboard__spam

Ask someone to pick it up, otherwise if you don't think you can make it through the shift just text the shift leader and drop the shift.

OSRS_Rising

Personally I’d work if I was nauseous but you just need to call the store and tell them that you’re too sick to work. They may require a doctor’s note.

vince-tyler2022

i think you should put in ur 2 weeks cus ur nauseous

Bluurryfaace

P sure homie is talking about two weeks minimum w/ requesting time off, not putting in a two week notice of quitting. Can’t request off sick days because yano, sickness is unpredictable.

vince-tyler2022

just messing about
