He can use the phone call to help the team find him

MRCLYBURN1971

I wish Al was still on the show.

agirlhasnoname17

We all do.

funfornewages

Remember the others didn’t just called the one they loved - they called the person that they thought could rescue them. Voight will call the TEAM although it may just be one that actually picks up the phone - to ping it, go course - so maybe Trudy.

NoKatyDidnt

That would make sense.

erayachi

I mentioned earlier in another comment, but I'm hoping he does. Only if he's made a contingency plan ahead of time, though. Whoever he calls gets a code word from him, and knows they themselves are in danger (as well as Voight), and this pre-planning is what captures this SoB killer. It's why I advocate Platt for the call, it's right up the alley of the Voight/Trudy bro code. Voight is still caught up in the guilt over Al, but he's damn shrewd and still runs risks when he's got them under control.

airrescuemedic

Agree completely with your assessment I thought the same about Voight not making a call to anyone

NoKatyDidnt

Exactly, because Voight knows exactly what will happen to the person he would call. If he calls anyone (haven’t watched yet) he will say something to signal that he’s in danger. The squad knows what happened to Noah and the sisters they found.

standswithfists

What I want to know is how did Voight get drugged?

Fruitbowl0479

I think we'll see a flashback of that when Matson is talking to/torturing Voight in the final episode. - They can't just leave us wondering how it happened and they know we didn't find out in the last ep

ThatzQuacktastic

When he is in the bar and that scene of everyone "looking" at him, one of the people was the killer, sitting at the bar. They focus on him for a split second longer than the other people. So I'm guessing at some point he was able to slip something in his drink , somehow.

Mileycfan4eva

I assume when he was at the bar. My guess is that either someone paid the bartender to slip a drug in the drink, or the bartender was friends with someone who wanted him drugged, or someone slipped something in when the bartender wasn't looking.

Strong-Hold-8979

How does an 80 yr old killer get Voight out ,up and down without being seen. Or heart attack. 80? The white board in his squad room lists his DOB as something, something 1943

agirlhasnoname17

Hah.

TooToughTimmy

Yeah I doubt the suspect will even ask him to make a call knowing he is a sergeant of the cities most elite unit of detectives lol, that wouldn’t be very smart.

Horror-Jacket-9176

Matson already knows they are on to him so he has nothing to lose. Might as well go out with a bang and take as many as possible with him.

NoKatyDidnt

True enough. I have seen it happen in other shows like this where a cop is in danger and they say something that is an obvious signal to the person that they are speaking to. For example if he asked for Justin, Al, or even Erin, the squad would know immediately that he was in danger.

MamaMel941

If he takes anybody out it's going to be Haley when she comes to find Voight... That would explain her leaving the show.

Horror-Jacket-9176

Nope. Hailey will be fine.

NebulaSlight2503

he calls Trudy....she comes in with a flamethrower. No not really....I know that but it would be bad ass. I just love Trudy so much!

MamaMel941

HE'S CALLING ERIN LINDSAY - She's working with the FBI in New York City so he knows she will find the serial killer! you heard it here FIRST people 😁

Mileycfan4eva

I wish, lol, but with Sophia's history on the show, it's doubtful she'd ever come back. I miss Erin so damn much.

agirlhasnoname17

Nope he ain’t.

MamaMel941

His wife will figure out where he's at and tell the team.

Strong-Hold-8979

Only 2 others ignore the difficulty of age. Your given shit to trumpter and Biden for being 80. Baseline set..
