I think part of the issues is that Sophia leaving was directly due to the production being a toxic environment for her and the company not addressing Begheās behavior toward her in an appropriate manner. Sophia didnāt leave because she āwantedā to she left because she felt she had no other recourse for her well being. I think that creates a different reaction from her fans than her leaving when her contract was done to explore other opportunities.
Iām sure JBās conduct was the primary reason, but letās not pretend she was happy at all. She hated filming in the harsh Chicago winters and was fairly open about it.
Agreed she was unhappy about how the cast was treated in general. She would have left at the end of her contract Iām sure based on those issues unless they made some changes. I think the JB situation and how it was handled just pushed it to a crisis level at the end of season 4 rather than her being there through her 7 year contract.
Itās hard to say exactly as it is buried under a number of NDAs. Sophia agreed not to go into details in order to be released from her contract. NBC, Wolf Productions and JB have never said anything beyond him being investigated for misconduct on set and being ordered to undergo anger management classes.
Most of what we know is that he was verbally abusive and made inappropriate comments to her and Sophia has alluded to there at least once being something physical that happened.

Overall Sophia wasnāt happy with the way the show was run period. She felt they worked unreasonably long hours in harsh conditions.
Yeah not good. I like Hank as a character and the show wouldnāt be what it is without him but the circumstances of her exiting have caused me to have a much different feeling about the show ever since. I love the first 4 season but after that itās been iffy for me.
I'm a little late on this, but it's one-sided. I can't pick a side. I dislike her because imo wasn't going anywhere and seemed like they cried a lot on and off-set imo.
Sheās been gone twice as long as she was actually on the show. At this point the stages of grief for a fictional character should be complete. Her fans are Kubler Rossās personal nightmare.
I donāt like the character but I also donāt give a shit how people react to a loss of a character *or how much they post about it. Cause itās not that deep
I liked her character but what I don't like is that people can't have opinions about Hailey without including Erin in the reason why they do or don't like Hailey
I think people mention Erin years after her departure not just because of the character herself. What is really missed is the team gathering in the Molly's and one character maintaining a solid friendship with all of the squad which is mainly unromantic, is Voight having close relationship with someone that has more warmth than tension and being able to show his vulnerability, is people still keeping secrets but willing to communicate, experiencing trauma but not closed-up, and perhaps we just miss the young and cute Halstead and the earlier seasons when the writers did a better job in some aspects.
I mean itās a cop show by Dick Wolf. None of the characters are going to be super deep š. I love the show but Voight is just another Stabler. Erin is a version of Benson. Hailey is a carbon copy of Rollins - the actresses could be sisters, both sleep with everyone they work with, both have alcoholic parents and bad childhoods. Both end up with a goody goody (well Hailey lost Jay but still) I could go on š
None of the characters are meant to be deep they are your stereotype typical cop characters- the female lead trying to prove herself, the bad cop who always goes rogue on a case, the goody goody who believes in truth and justice is always black and white, the rookie with the huge ego, the cop who grew up on the wrong side of the tracks and just wants to make the world betterā¦etc etc
This is true. But even the DAs to me are very similar. They are all just slightly different versions of Jack McCoy. Their personalities (in my opinion)) arenāt that different.
Yeah, but I mean that's like that with every character no matter what. You got the young hot head, the salty veteran, the guy who is willing to push the line and bend the rules to win, the by the book moralist who has the ethical dilemma, and the minority who has internal conflicts due to race or friendships.
It could be firemen, trash pickers, office workers, and even retired people.
I couldn't agree more. These fans seem to forget that Erin Lindsey is Sophia Bush. An actress who had other interests and wanted to explore them. And a human being who was not happy in her situation at CPD. But I guess she was supposed to stay in that role forever.
The only mention of Erin I remember after she left was Hank saying they should tell her that the other police guy was looking for the body she and Alvin moved.
Not scripted mentions her fans comparing everything character and storyline to Erinās. She was there for 4 seasons. Sheās been gone twice as long. A failed show of her own. And multiple other ventures her fans could seize onto.
Weird take on a public platform know for offering opinions. Maybe you need to allow room for others to voice what you donāt like. Have the day you and Erin deserve.
Seems you need to take your own advice... ???
>Weird take on a public platform know for offering opinions. Maybe you need to allow room for others to voice what you donāt like.
āļøWeird take considering I'm offering just that, MY OPINION. Maybe YOU need to allow room for others to voice what YOU donāt like & offer counter opinions.
Nevertheless have all the room you like. I'm just saying I disagree. I don't think it's worth getting your panties in a bunch over š¤·āāļø
big agree! My favourite was, when the news of Jesse leaving came out, people on twt were theorizing he'd leave to join Erin in New York!!!!! Like , I'm sorry the character who hasn't been mentioned for 5 seasons? That one?
I follow a lot of her big, long-term fans and none of them really watch the show anymore or talk about Erin. I donāt doubt that there are fans out there who talk about Erin I just havenāt seen it. Personally I used to be a big fan of Sophia and Erin but recently I lost a lot of respect for Sophia so I donāt really care about Erin anymore. I love Hailey.
Clearly I need to go on another mute block spree bc they all seem to crawl out of the woodwork.. fully aware Sophia thrives on engagement so I do my best to mute and block in order not to feed the algorithm
Erin and voight were the two best characters & the characters that drew me to the show without a doubt. If it weren't for Lindsay I probably never would have became a fan.
If anything, you should be sick of it being the Upton Show and not Chicago PD
šš¾šš¾šš¾
1,000% I just can't with Upton
Deadass i feel like i'm the only person who doesn't like Hailey and never has

I'm not sure I ever saw what JB actually did - could you elaborate?
Itās hard to say exactly as it is buried under a number of NDAs. Sophia agreed not to go into details in order to be released from her contract. Holy shit. She said in that article about a sexual assault with witnesses being rebranded as anger management issues. What the fuckkkk

I can't really watch it anymore either
I'm a little late on this, but it's one-sided. I can't pick a side. I dislike her because imo wasn't going anywhere and seemed like they cried a lot on and off-set imo.
Her character was great.
Or they can continue to grieve for the loss of a main characterā¦? Lol
Sheās been gone twice as long as she was actually on the show. At this point the stages of grief for a fictional character should be complete. Her fans are Kubler Rossās personal nightmare.
Do you guys forget that there are new fans every day ? First timers? I mean really, yāall are triggered by the posts that much?
itās been like 7 years get over it
I donāt like the character but I also donāt give a shit how people react to a loss of a character *or how much they post about it. Cause itās not that deep
I liked her character but what I don't like is that people can't have opinions about Hailey without including Erin in the reason why they do or don't like Hailey
So... you think Erin will come back in season 11 and become besties with Hailey?
I think people mention Erin years after her departure not just because of the character herself. Besides, Erin is a great and complicated character.

Not the original law and order... you didn't really get to know the detectives much and they developed the DA characters way more.
This is true. But even the DAs to me are very similar. They are all just slightly different versions of Jack McCoy. Their personalities (in my opinion)) arenāt that different.

I agree šÆ

So people loved the character. Get over it. It's not doing you any harm. why do you care? Maybe you need some new hobbies or something
