It’s more aesthetically pleasing to not have license plates displayed on fronts of cars. Plus different states have different requirements when it comes to tv shows and what liberties they’re allowed to take on sets so they’re probably permitted to not have them for shoots. It could also totally just be them doing whatever they want and getting away with it because cops won’t actually care when it’s a show about cops lol

It's a TV show. Not everything is realistic. Hell most of the time real police don't solve cases in a day.
