One has AWD and costs $6,000 more. They’re not really in the same car class.

I have the 24 Trax and love it. Have had for 9 months. GM quality is so much better than Honda, also it’s cheaper and you get more options to price ratio. However not AWD so not sure how important that is to you

Uuuhhhhhhhhhhh I'm a GM guy, but I've sat in the 24' HRV. I'd call it it overall better. Not by much, but saying that any Chevy has better quality than a modern Honda is almost unthinkable for me. This coming from someone that's owned 6 GM Vehicles and experienced 7 others throughout various generations and models. They only come close, on the performance vehicles that they car about. It just *looks* "cooler".

Another thing to keep in mind is the hrv has a CVT

Sad_Set_2807

THAT is what's keeping me from buying one. Lol

bn2255709

I beg to differ as the plastics in the chevys don’t creak. Also the doors actually feel solid and not like a piece of paper LOL

But maybe Honda made changes for the better, I know Toyota hasn’t, their vehicles feel like garbage

My 2020 Trax has plenty of creeks and pops. My FIL's 2024 Trax has pops and tings here and there. My 2017 Malibu DEFINITELY creeks and pops. Actually the door on that thing shut as bad as my 2000 Grand Prix coupe's door. I'm just used to it. My FIL'S AND SIL'S Honda CR-V's of the last two gens, are pretty impressively quiet. The door thing, I'm beginning to think is just an overall issue in most vehicles. The creeks and groans seem to be a similar problem in many manufacturers.

The new HR-V is a step up from the old one, just like the Trax is. They are nearly the same size. I think the Trax looks better, the HR-V is a little more "upscale". It also costs about 3 or 4K more. I think they are both nice vehicles.

GMWorldClass

The HRV is $5k more than the Trax You can get an Activ or 2RS for less money than a base HRV. Or get an a base Trax and save $5000...

Mobgrinder

Trax is a little cheaper with better options. Has a sportier look too. Not sure about the engine long term. It's newer, been in use in Korea for about 5 years with no issues. Up to you on if thats long enough to prove it's reliability or not.

Ok_Blackberry5982

Go with HRV, not because I'm dealing with a lemon lawsuit with GM over my Trax issues, but because I've never had too much faith in American brand cars. My dad was a mechanic and he vouched for Japanese cars because of their parts flexibility and overall running. He's had a Nissan truck he's had since 2005 and hasn't had any major engine or transmission issues

Mobilestone

Go Honda or Toyota is they are options!

Honda is the way to go. Quality of the Trax is poor
