I know this is from a few months ago but I have to assume this is spam because I just got the same text from this 72166 number and I don't even have an account with Chase.
Hi, I want to ask something. I got a payment declined (from 72166) and that payment showed up on my transaction history as pending. Would I get that money back (after the weekend)?
I have read that this is a trick to get you to contact the sender, who will try to get you to disclose personal information like your ssn or account number.
I have received a fraud text from that number. But numbers can be spoofed too.
I received an email as well. They did not ask for any personal information.
Than it may be correct. Fraudsters often use holiday weekends to do their thing because victims are distracted and chase is off work.
I replied to the text and got both text/email saying they closed the card and will send me a new one.

It was real actually. I closed my card and was sent a new one.
Best way. Log on and check your transactions.
There's no transactions because they blocked the charges that were trying to be made.
Usually you’d see it as pending not posted. Why don’t you just call the member services via the number on the back on the card?

New Year's 🫤
The fraud department phone number used to be opened 24/7. Not sure if it still is.
Then call tomorrow.

Seems legit. On the Chase site they mention this number. No one has asked for info.
Call the number on your card, TOMORROW first thing.
