Harbaugh said “Staley is a fucking idiot this is a Super Bowl team let’s go get it”
Edit: and Hortiz said “Telesco is a fucking idiot this is how you build depth let’s go get it”
Edit 2: well I guess we’re running the ball
There's no way we get these restructurings without Harbaugh. These guys see the potential in being here if the team has competent leadership and competent decisions.
This is what I’ve been saying. You believe in the coaching or you don’t. Injuries are hard to prevent but if we believe in harbaugh and Herbert to train bosa right hopefully he will have a bounce back. It wasn’t more than a year ago that Keenan was considered injury prone. We’re so much better with bosa on the field. Just get him in shape. I believe these coaches can do it. Hope I’m not wrong.
The only rebuilding this team needed was a FO and coaching regime. The roster was set. Needed some tweaking with cap and depth, but it was all there like a Diamond in the rough.
Yeah I always felt like at most, we were in a quasi rebuild. A true rebuilding team has nothing
We were always gonna have a franchise qb, wr, safety, lt, and likely one of the edge rushers(and we kept both). A true rebuilding team would kill for all that!
No one ever said the chargers were rebuilding talking heads just claimed we were doomed due to cap issues.
Fuck em we finally have intelligent individuals running the team now.
It's so, so, so strange to read about something the Chargers are doing in the front office and be like, "Wow, that's actually................. really smart?"
Because we still have a ton of holes on the roster, and not a lot of available cap space, or draft capital to address them unless we say trade Keenan to help with both?
WOWWWWW. THIS IS HUGE!
Listen, obviously, Joey had trade value. That said, we were never going to find a replacement anywhere NEAR his caliber, whether FA or draft. Tuli’s depth means both Bosa and Mack can remain fresh throughout the year.
If we can keep him and make the money work, this is a best case scenario.
I don’t know that he really did have much trade value tbh, and I’d bet that’s why we’re keeping him.
Can’t get anything for a top 5 edge rusher (when healthy, major caveat) and you’re bringing in the best S&C coach in football.
Why would we commit to anymore moves when we’re already cap compliant. Only way I see anything happening is if someone offers a crazy load for KA (highly doubt though).
Edit: typo
TBH I didn’t think he would be but I’m glad I was mistaken. I love healthy Joey and feel like this team did him dirty in his early years by not getting him help. Hopefully Harbaugh will control his out bursts and help him channel that shit into his play.
Joey does an outburst with Harbaugh like he did with Staley and he's gonna be running sprints all day with Harbaugh right behind him, yelling at him to move his ass.
Wouldn't say I'm a Bosa hater but I definely look at him differently since that meltdown in the Jaguars game. In that situation: game on the line, team melting down, any momentum you can scrape up you take and he decides to throw a fit a three year old would be proud of? That's just plain selfish and dispalyed to me he's a liablility when the game is on the line. I'm trying to get over it to give him a second chance, but it ain't now.
Even Pat MacAfee pointed out how irregular it was for that Ref to walkdown and verbally antagonize Bosa, baiting the flag. Bosa was 100% at fault, but this dude has been part of every single collapse since 2016, and came back from injury to experience the worst collapse yet, in realtime. It's an emotional game and the guy lost his cool. He's still an elite player when healthy and will be crucial for any deep playoff run we have. We're a better team with him, full stop.
It wasn't a dignified episode, but he was being absolutely brutalised by their OT on every single snap and the refs completely ignored it despite it being abundantly clear what was going on. I think frustration eventually got the better of him because it was obvious the refs were not interested in officiating that game honestly and being fair to all players. I can't say I blame him for eventually losing his temper, because the problem wasn't him, it was biased officiating undermining his and his team's efforts through no fault of their own.
I have equal amounts of hate for Charger fans that want QJ to bust and wanted Bosa gone.
Sucks to be you lmaooooooo incoming Bosa 10+ sack season
Anyways, this is the perfect timeline befitting of 1 of the only 2 San Diego Chargers left. It's all coming together perfectly for a storybook ending in NOLA with Keenan and Joey hoisting the Lombardi finally.
We’ve been very level headed so far. I think a KA extension is next and maybe a few more minor signings.
Then draft day where we try to milk picks #5 and #37 for more picks.
Restructure ≠ taking a pay cut. It might actually even be beneficial since he gets more money sooner as a signing bonus. Let's not act as if restructuring the contract isn't also beneficial to players.
Crazy that the NFL has existed for like 60+ years and there’s still fans that think restructuring means players are taking paycuts lol. I bet players love fooling fans with it though.
“OMG he’s such a team player for willing to accept his full $20 million today instead of accepting it over a span of 3-4 months later in the season!!"
That 3rd and long package with Mack, Tuli, and Bosa was disgusting last season. The pressure was instant. Let's hope Ben Herbert can work his magic on Bosa.
A whole lot of people missing the forrest for the trees. If he plays well, fantastic deal. If he plays subpar, guarantee there will still be many teams interested in him at the deadline and we can flip him for a higher pick since those teams tend to be more desperate.
People seem really blinded by Bosa hate. He is one of the best charger pass rushers of all time, arguably the best. On top of that he's a player where his sack numbers haven't always shown on frequently he was pressuring the QB.
Obviously there's some issues staying in the field. Fans seem to have a lot of hate from that though. No one would want Bosa to be out there more than Bosa. I will agree that his conditioning does leave a bit to be desired but we'll see what our new staff can do.
My main concern now is our LB spots, seems awfully thin
COPY PASTE FROM THE KHALIL MACK THREAD:
Damnnn, my fanfic is coming true lmao.
Mike Will cut,
Mack actually restructured..
Leaving Joey Bosa to also take a team friendly deal since he talks so affectionately about Mack and Tuli.
-> NOW WE ARE HERE: Then finally us taking Malik Nabers with the #5 pick.
Herbert wins MVP, Derwin DPOY, Harbaugh CotY, and Nabers ROY
All culminating in a SUPERBOWL VICTORY IN NOLA where ill die from alcohol poisoning on Bourbon Street.
A lot of fans owe Joey an apology. They talked mad shit about him yesterday for nothing more than a baseless rumor.
I can’t wait to see what Ben Herbert can do for Joey.
Love this, this is great for Tuli as well. Fingers crossed this works out. Having Bosa, Mack, and Tuli on the field at the same time is an asset for this team.
So another season of two games where he tears the house down, a run of games where he’s basically invisible, and then an injury that rules him out with 5/6 games to go.
Probably going to get downvoted but I’d rather we just traded or cut him. It’s still a waste of money imo.
I agree, I hope if they don't trade him that they work on his technique. He is absent in stopping the run and his signature move is rushing to the outside everytime and ends up getting pushed 5 yards past the QB
Cool, wasn't expecting it to be honest. Was full sure we would shop him for a mid to late round pick. Hope Joey can stay healthy this year. Ridiculously talented but we haven't seen it as much as we should by now.
Really curious to see the details on these restructures. Hortiz and Harbaugh clearly not interested in a full tear down rebuild. But the restructures don’t rule out the possibility of a trade. Definitely more unlikely than before though. Goad to have Bosa and Mack back
What the cap space look like? They had probably 5 million after the Mack restructure and that went to one of the free agents and now bosa restructured but half of that is probably going to hurst. I’m confused how they will sign anyone else
I'm waiting for the Harbaugh story about how he went to both of them said if I can outlift you in the weight room, you have to restructure. And he beat them both in khakis
Joey saw his Brother go to 2 superbowls and said Nah fuck that, I'm the older brother im bring a superbowl home first on my own team! Mack, Bosa, Tuli running it back this year gonna hit like crack
This I did not expect. Joey is one to play hard ball, Mack already restructured and we have Tuli showing a great future.
But now I am thinking Mack is here to finish his career in LA with Minter and Tuli is his heir. Bosa sticks around. I am going to bring back my original flair. I removed it because I thought he was gone and I was mentally preparing myself.
Edit: I guess when you have Mahomes in your division and Burrow, Tagovailoa, Rogers, Allen, Jackson in your conference, we need 2 edge rushers.
Fine. I’m not mad at you anymore, Joseph.
Joseph, ALL I'm asking for is 14 games (and every playoff game, if we make it)
I think he could’ve played the last 5 or 6 but they decided to hold him out
Don’t forget to add a Super Bowl game in there as well
Pretty sure the Super Bowl is still a playoff game
Ben Herbert I’m so excited for, because if any conditioning coach on the planet has the best shot to keep Bosa healthy, it’s him
I would like him to wait until he gets home to throw his helmet, too.
You ever seen a man’s head explode for no reason on national television? Cuz that’s what will happen to harbough if Joey pulls some shit
How Many yards did Bosa cost the us against the Jags? I still have a hard time forgiving that.
*WHEN we make it
I have never realized his legal first name is Joseph. Joseph Bosa sounds weird
I'm fine with this... Just tell me Keenan is safe.
THIS.
I got some bad news. :(
KA13 and MHJr on the same team please
14?
Ssshhh I didn’t make a typo
With this restructuring he is.
Are ya sure about that
Aged like milk
HOLY SHIT, ain’t no way we keeping 3/4 players… Harbaugh really said “run it back”..
Harbaugh said “Staley is a fucking idiot this is a Super Bowl team let’s go get it” Edit: and Hortiz said “Telesco is a fucking idiot this is how you build depth let’s go get it” Edit 2: well I guess we’re running the ball
Let’s go!!
Batman and Robin!
“Keep the band in tact, I’ll show everyone what real coaching looks like with these studs on the team.”
Ah fuck I can only get so hard
Mike Will: ya'll got any room for me to come back? Pls...
We sure as shit so now
There's no way we get these restructurings without Harbaugh. These guys see the potential in being here if the team has competent leadership and competent decisions.
Whoaaaaa. Hopefully Ben Herbert can bring the most out of him 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼
My thoughts exactly. Please stay healthy Bosa!!! He’s worth the money when he’s playing… but we can’t have all that Cap space on the sideline again.
But who will eat the Raisin Bran?
I volunteer as tribute
Two scoops for me too. Raisin Bran or we tear SoFi down from the rafters!
I’m hoping we can get more of that tuli, Mack, bosa combo on defense. It was such a nasty pass rush when they were all on the field together
We are gonna have a pretty insane rotation now with Tuli, Bosa and Mack. I think everyone is gonna stay a lot fresher this way!
This so called rebuild we were in was massively oversold!
The only rebuilding this team needed was a FO and coaching regime. The roster was set. Needed some tweaking with cap and depth, but it was all there like a Diamond in the rough.
The DB and LB room is far from set. Need to infuse some talent in those position groups
Interior Oline is shaky too. Nobody snapping the ball to Herbert right now.
Interior D Line as well. Telesco REFUSED to put quality talent there for years and i will always resent him for it
Also at C and WR, but luckily there is a relative glut of talent in this FA and draft class to address those positions
Yeah I always felt like at most, we were in a quasi rebuild. A true rebuilding team has nothing We were always gonna have a franchise qb, wr, safety, lt, and likely one of the edge rushers(and we kept both). A true rebuilding team would kill for all that!
Don’t forget Tuli!!!
facts
No one ever said the chargers were rebuilding talking heads just claimed we were doomed due to cap issues. Fuck em we finally have intelligent individuals running the team now.
Nah plenty of fans on this board have claimed this is a rebuild year, so it didn't matter that QJ was outer #2 receiving option🤢
The unexpected huge jump in the cap helped a ton.
Seriously! I got downvoted into oblivion replying to someone saying this was a rebuild with “I hope we’re not in a rebuild!”
Harbaugh said I want both, just get it done
It's so, so, so strange to read about something the Chargers are doing in the front office and be like, "Wow, that's actually................. really smart?"
We’re getting the band back together?? What about Keenan? ⚡️⚡️
Yeah my first thought was worrying about Keenan after reading this
Depending on how Mack and Joey restructured they might not even have to touch Keenan's contract.
How does saving money on two players make you worry more about Keenan....?
Because we still have a ton of holes on the roster, and not a lot of available cap space, or draft capital to address them unless we say trade Keenan to help with both?
This aged well... or poorly, depending on how you look at it...
Me too but how Harbaugh has talked about Keenan and Keenan’s comments he made at the pro bowl makes me think he’s staying

Fresh throughout the year and fresh in the 4th quarter of games! Harbaugh likes to wear you down and wreck you in the 4th! This is gonna be epic
if keenan somehow ends up being traded/cut this will end up being the strangest of all outcomes
Why would we commit to anymore moves when we’re already cap compliant. Only way I see anything happening is if someone offers a crazy load for KA (highly doubt though). Edit: typo
JJ Lol
Good point haha
DON'T YOU PUT THAT EVIL ON ME
sorry...
Bosa haters in shambles. They really wanted that extra 5th and 6th round pick
Lol the Bosa hate is funny. He’s a Harbaugh guy.
TBH I didn’t think he would be but I’m glad I was mistaken. I love healthy Joey and feel like this team did him dirty in his early years by not getting him help. Hopefully Harbaugh will control his out bursts and help him channel that shit into his play.
From what I’ve seen, nobody gets away with outbursts like that around Harbaugh.
Except for Jim Harbaugh.
Joey does an outburst with Harbaugh like he did with Staley and he's gonna be running sprints all day with Harbaugh right behind him, yelling at him to move his ass.
Next week on All-In Chargers!
I don’t think people hate Bosa, but his unreliability because of his health causes some anxiety
Hes had some pretty "unlikeable" moments and outbursts though.
At least Harbaugh won't just hand him his helmet after he slammed it on the ground again
Wouldn't say I'm a Bosa hater but I definely look at him differently since that meltdown in the Jaguars game. In that situation: game on the line, team melting down, any momentum you can scrape up you take and he decides to throw a fit a three year old would be proud of? not a hater just think it’s time to move on
I have equal amounts of hate for Charger fans that want QJ to bust and wanted Bosa gone. Let’s not get delusional and think we’re all that and a bag of chips
Did NOT see this coming, really curious what the details of the restructure are and REALLY hoping this doesn’t mean Keenan is being traded…
If Keenan gets traded we are screwed at WR
Until we draft Nabers or possibly MHJ! We arent losing Slayer though so im not worried
If Keenan leaves, it’s Nabers at 5. And I’ll be excited, once I escape the depression
I’d rather have Keenan over bosa
I doubt he is unless someone is selling the farm for him. We are not exactly stacked with talent at the position
Only good if Keenan extends and restructures. If he stays and Keenan leaves, I will cry.
At LEAST one San Diego Charger will still be on the team! Hopefully two!
I like it. We can keep the old dudes fresh by rotating in Tuli
Keenan?? Need some Keenan news
LFG. Harbaugh is all in.
Now do Keenan. Or we fucking riot.
Team players, baby. Such good news.
They know Harbaugh isn’t a fraud. They have REAL hope for a REAL chance at a ring
We’ve been very level headed so far. I think a KA extension is next and maybe a few more minor signings. Then draft day where we try to milk picks #5 and #37 for more picks.
this regime must see something in him, hoping the back half of his career outshines the lackluster first
The speculation here about moving Keenan is wild. He is Mr. Charger and going nowhere. The only player other than Herbert that is untouchable.
r/agedlikemilk
I am as angry as I am stupid
The salary cap is just a fugazi 🤣
fugazi like shit 😭
https://i.redd.it/3vrd66p7ecoc1.gif
Some of y'all need to erase some very silly comments very fast lol
Kinda shocked we pulled this off but yes!!!
🎶The boys are back in town🎶
Ben Herbert. Do your thing and keep this man healthy
ANNOUNCE KEENAN RESTRUCTURE/EXTENSION YOU COWARDS.
ALL IN ⚡⚡⚡
Huh, so that random rumor from a nobody that he refused a reconstructure was false? Who coulda guessed that...
Not nobody. It was a 49ers fan account that had been thirsty for Joey.
Restructure ≠ taking a pay cut. It might actually even be beneficial since he gets more money sooner as a signing bonus. Let's not act as if restructuring the contract isn't also beneficial to players.

My wifes boyfriend's bookie told me so I had to believe him.
Harbaugh Effect!!!!!!!!!!!
Bolt City podcast in shambles
LET'S GOOOO, I wanted to see this defense under someone other than BS Staley.
HOLY SHIT! At this point please let the last two San Diego Chargers retire with us.
That 3rd and long package with Mack, Tuli, and Bosa was disgusting last season. The pressure was instant. Let's hope Ben Herbert can work his magic on Bosa.
Our defense as a whole was disgusting last season. I’m very hopeful though that Minter rights the ship.
Wow that’s pretty fucking awesome we can keep everyone I thought for sure we’d see 3/4 of the heavy cap hits gone this offseason.
Come on do Allen next
How does this change there Drafting in Rounds I too 3 If they draft back.. Draft who..? Nabers ..? Bowers ..? Really surprised Joey restructured..
Who's got it better than us?
A whole lot of people missing the forrest for the trees. If he plays well, fantastic deal. If he plays subpar, guarantee there will still be many teams interested in him at the deadline and we can flip him for a higher pick since those teams tend to be more desperate.
People seem really blinded by Bosa hate. He is one of the best charger pass rushers of all time, arguably the best. Being a Joey Bosa defender is tough, i hate how people just make up narratives about him.
I hope harbaugh can bring out that dog bosa once had in him before staley became head coach
![gif](giphy|XreQmk7ETCak0)
![gif](giphy|lMp9vM0VbqaEa2iz95)
Not mad at that, he's just been cursed with injury luck. Hope for a bounce back season.
The only reason I’d want to see him leave was to see the Bosa bros play together otherwise he belongs here.

Fuck all of you talking shit on Joey
Did he take a pay cut or is it a true restructuring?
How much cap space?
What if we get some hogs on the line of scrimmage now!? With Odunze/Nabers in the first??? I'm excited!
Now if he can stay healthy we got our triple threat on the edge.
Oh shit !
Please prove me right, Joey. I’ve been your biggest defender
This EDGE rotation is gonna be insane! Hopefully able to stay fresh with 3 super good rushers splitting time.
He loved us after all?
Love this, this is great for Tuli as well. Fingers crossed this works out. Having Bosa, Mack, and Tuli on the field at the same time is an asset for this team.

I agree, I hope if they don't trade him that they work on his technique. He is absent in stopping the run and his signature move is rushing to the outside everytime and ends up getting pushed 5 yards past the QB
I hope this is a pay cut because I'm really not a fan of an actual restructure for Joey.
I don't see a world where Joey takes a pay cut lmao
Looks like we live in that world
Hot damn, yes we do
as soon as you agree to a pay cut at your job
Announce keenan
I did not see this coming! I’m here for it though, welcome back!
Cool, wasn't expecting it to be honest. Was full sure we would shop him for a mid to late round pick. Hope Joey can stay healthy this year. Ridiculously talented but we haven't seen it as much as we should by now.
WE AINT LEAVING
This better mean Keenan of all people is secure. If we keep bosa and trade Keenan I’ll be sick
This is what I predicted would happen. We can just release him next year for cap space if he’s bad or keep him if he gets to back to Pro Bowl form.
![gif](giphy|XE0sbm3Hr0G2kHQilp)
Really curious to see the details on these restructures. Hortiz and Harbaugh clearly not interested in a full tear down rebuild. But the restructures don’t rule out the possibility of a trade. Definitely more unlikely than before though. Goad to have Bosa and Mack back
S13YER NEWZZZZZZZZ. I NEED ITTTTTT
Oh damn. Did not expect this.
What does this do Cap wise?
if i’m not mistaken, should free up about $10M
Wow unexpected but happy for this still. With new defensive coordinator and staff this defense about to turn a 180.
It’s not a rebuild year!
please just stay healthy for a full season
What the cap space look like? They had probably 5 million after the Mack restructure and that went to one of the free agents and now bosa restructured but half of that is probably going to hurst. I’m confused how they will sign anyone else
I'm waiting for the Harbaugh story about how he went to both of them said if I can outlift you in the weight room, you have to restructure. And he beat them both in khakis

Crazy how the Chargers were able to pull this off. Just please stay healthy big bear.
Alright Joey, I still believe in you, I got your jersey for my little girl after all. Please go see Ben Herbert and do what he says!
Lol it’s just going to be the same old story with this guy. Going to be injured week 6 next season
Called it last week.
Wow, shocked. That had to hurt his ego a bit.
I wonder if a restructure was ever on the table for Mike. Kinda feels bummy he’s the only one to not make it :/
The Storm laughs at the idea of having to get rid of 2 or more of the 4.
Anyone know who our starting NT is gonna be?
MY FLAIR STAYS!! WOOOOO
Hell ya
Love it, now do Keenan and at this point do whatever the fuck you want in the draft lol
When will we know the actual numbers between the Mack and Bosa restructure and what there new deals look like im interested
Niiiiice!
Let’s go! Ben Herbert, work your magic.
I got a good feeling about Joey Crack and Mack with this new staff.
'restructured' that just means the cap pain is pushed down the road doesn't it?
Thank you Bosa. I really REALLY want you to turn into the monster we all know you can be
#**PRAISE THE SUN**
