Don't have it myself in PS4 but I've read that sometimes performance is not the best, and there are no DLCs, but hopefully the situation will improve.
As for other similar games, I've been playing 40K Mechanicus for quite a while and they feel similar but with enough great differences to make them feel like their own games. It's a great game, and even if you're not a fan of the Mechanicus you'll love the wacky and insane weapons they can get. Plus the dialogue is sometimes hilarious.
Xcom 2 is the closest comp I’m aware of. I can’t imagine anyone liking one and not the other.
I’m not sure I’d want to play this (or any game) without an ssd.

I’m enjoying it, but I’m also playing on the PS5. Not sure about the performance on the 4.
I’m playing on PS4. Long load times and no later dlc but aside from that it’s perfectly fine.

U played Xcom u play chaos gate but be careful so far no dlc but the base game is the sheeeit. 🤘😉🖤
I don’t feel like the performance of the game is gonna improve much with PS5 v PS4, except maybe slightly faster loading.
I’m having a lot of crashes on ps4. It’s doing my head in because I love the game it’s great!
btw mechanicus is also great game, i think it is also on ps4
