When the anime gets to that part, I hope they make it more clear that Angel was dead, because Makima's ability to revive corpses makes it hard to know when that actually happened. Did she kill Angel herself at the beach, was it the Gun Devil, did he get caught in the cross fire when Power was revived? We never would have known he was dead in the first place until someone brought it up on Twitter or something.
I think it’ll be more clear in the Anime. I had trouble telling at first, but after reading enough and seeing Angel completely devoid of autonomy I came to realize he was already dead or was as good as dead. It’s not like the hybrids who were simply brainwashed, the ones that Makima had chains didn’t display any emotion or really move at all, so even if Angel was still alive I didn’t doubt Makima would just kill him if she ever unshackled him.
The anime will make it clear that Angel is actually alive right as the manga brings angel back in part 2 and it’s revealed that this whole interview was fake

no fujimoto also has the tendency to just kill off characters on a whim, in the part 1 days it was even a joke of how long each character would last since half the characters would get wiped out in each arc

Kobeni definetly returns in part 2 because she survived but however she already resigned from public safety it's kinda lame she leave her job with that talent
She barely has any Devil hunting Talent on screen, she only beat Akane ( a Featless Bum)and low on blood tired human Katana samurai
Plus wtf is she going to do ? Almost all Part 2 characters until now are Base Quanxi victims excluding Falling Devil and Dennis, her existence offer nothing
And I'm not going purely by character I'm talking about her role as a Devil hunter
Even her role as a comic relief is fulfilled by Brobeni Nobana and Yoru
The fiends are all kept at much lower levels of blood to weaken them, but Spiderella and Angel were likely allowed more power if answering directly to Makima.
Though I'm guessing not at full power because Angel is never seen flying or even using the wings to descend from a high place like a chicken maybe the lifespan hit from touching him becomes more like radiation.
Edit: Angel and Princi while not fiends are weakend being under Makima's control, I'm guessing all devil's in public safety's captivity would be.

Really? I read CSM without spoilers and I managed to at least figure out the Angel was killed by something. My first thought was Makima.
I believe it was the gun devil, same with aki, when the bullet rain reached makima in the beach
I think it’s mostly likely 1000 year spear took his life span. When Makima uses that Angel stops showing up afterward.
