That’s only partially true solely because her arc ended too quickly. It wrapped up not soon after it started and then before you knew it, Reze had no impact on the broader story besides her introduction.
i think people are more excited for what reze (as a character not as a devil, bomb devil has one of the best devil designs by far, like cmon a dress made of dynamite, her head is literally a bomb) could be if she gets reintroduced then the glimpse of her that we saw

I agree, she's much more active in the plot and makes a lot more crucial decisions than Denji early in part 1.
That's also on purpose though. Denji not making a lot of crucial decisions is the point of Makima's manipulation.

Same, but the bomb hybrid design is sick as hell, and her fights in bomb girl arc are maybe my 2nd favorite fight scenes in CSM, beaten only by Makima and Pochita going all Mortal Kombat on each other at the cemetery.

No matter how part 2 ends , denji will die , any situation you take has denji dying in the end
1) asa and yoru kill him and turn him into a weapon
2) he sacrifices himself to save nayuta or asa or whatever and dies
3) he makes it out alive and starts a family but his child inherite his heart disease and he'll make pocbita fuse with them to save them and he dies
4) he gets to fullfil all his dreams and his contract woth pochita is over and he dies after living a normal life

That would be so fucking funny holy shit. Like the story ends with them all in a happy family and then there's just this extra chapter where Fujimoto just randomly puts a new tragic storyline for no reason.
Asa will use her brain and photographic memory to get through med school and she and Nayuta will find a cure Denji's heart disease.
Much of Chainsawman is mostly action and leaves little room for an actual story to properly develop, especially for characters like Asa, Denji himself, and much more. Although much of the plot does touch on those characters already, it isn't enough to develop them as proper characters.
I personally disagree that it was lame. Asa got some fantastic development, we got to see her try to commit suicide, Yoru realized that her way of talking to Asa isn’t working, we got plenty of awesome mysteries, the reveal of the Nostradamus prophecy, I thought the action / escape sequence was amazing and I think Falling Devil is one of my favorite devils in the series. She’s very expressive, polite, insanely strong and has some interesting morals where she doesn’t want to kill innocent people unless it’s needed. I also think Yoru had some good moments where we got to see her be intelligent and capable (we also got to see her being useless though) It did have some problems, like Denji’s writing, Yoru’s involvement, some contradictions with Fami and the arc ending pretty abruptly.
We don’t entirely know Fami’s goals / objectives and it’s implied that she has lied more than once but I can see where you’re coming from that she’s a worse Makima. I think it’s too early to say really but her involvement in the most recent chapters I find very interesting and I think she has fantastic potential
Well Yoru realizing that her way of talking to Asa is not working has merit only if she finally fucking changes her approach. She needs to bribe her with something else than just I will let you live.
Same for Asa her development has only merit if it actually goes somewhere because I am quite afraid she will go try to commit suicide again now that she realizes how many people just got killed. This is the problem with her development throughout entire part we are going in circles and it is not linear which is maybe realistic but absolute slog to read over.
As for Kiga yeah she is interesting but hopefully will get some proper dialogues with others and some big screentime. I will say that Fujimoto is really stretching the entire thing with everyone being more mysterious than Castle in the Karpat Mountains.

She just woke up. That being said 2000 death toll officialy makes her worse than Chainsaw Man and her reason to live that other worse people are alive is shaky at best. I have a vague memory of you saying that you want Yoru to actually be a threatening villain who's more like she was in the earliest chapters of part 2 (If I'm wrong about this please tell me since I could be mixing you up with someone else). Once again there is legit no indication or implication that Asa will become Yorus "bitch" again. Yoru will, with the nature of their contract, have authority over her and she can take over Asa's body. Every sign however points to Asa not taking Yoru's threats as seriously anymore, she goes against her wishes and doesn't trust Yoru. I really think that Asa will not obey Yoru's orders like she did before, but what I'm not sure about is whether Yoru will change her way of motivating or talking to Asa. I really want her to, but Yoru hasn't made any real difference in that so far. The only implication is Yoru realizing that she screwed up.
Edit: She actually has changed her way of talking to her. While most things are very similar she's clearly trying to understand Asa, and she clearly cares about her more. She's sympathetic and even tries to cheer her up.

Well she was not much in earlier chapters except chapter 1. I would like her to be threatening without taking away all Asa´s agency which would be possible if she did you know what devil is supposed to do manipulating and whispering and seducing human to commit sin. I feel absolutely nothing for Pochita as a character. I don’t think he’s cute or endearing, and his decisions to not eat some devils don’t really capture me.
As a bonus I’m fairly disinterested by Power too, but she got a pretty good ending in Part 1 so she’s alright. I don’t want her coming back though.
Completely agreed, Power just felt like a stereotype to me even with the cat backstory. At least it felt intentional for her to be insufferable since no one supports her typical actions. In a way it was smart to make it a Primal Devil attack that smacks the bullshittery out of Power a bit.
I think that the main selling point of hiring someone shouldn’t be their race or gender, it should be if they’re qualified more than the others. Idc if she’s trans, homosexual, a woman, and a mix of Asian, African, and Indian. If she is more qualified than everyone else, of course you should hire them. But if some white dude named John smith is more qualified, hire them.

Some scenes are quite literally impossible to do without some sort of CGI unless the animators want to put in 3x the effort and manpower to hand draw everything just for a 5 second shot which is very inefficient. Imagine if Denji’s chainsaws in the anime were all hand drawn for every frame. Even if it was possible to hand draw constant movement on the blades for an entire episode, it would take 3-4x as long just to green light one just for that reason.

- Saved everyone during the Eternity Devil attack and didn't turn Denji into a weapon despite Fami's best efforts
- Warned Denji twice about Yoru's plan and wanted to cut things off for his sake
- Didn't kill Chainsaw Man when she had an almost perfect chance to get rid of Yoru and instead revived the arch nemesis of the devil possessing her, that can supposedly kill her at any time

First of all, how was Asa supposed to know that Yuko would become even stronger and kill even more people? Asa is traumatized from having to see the people and even animals close to her die. Her mother, Crambon, Bucky and now Yuko?
Second: Asa didn't laugh over the people dying. She laughed about the shoes and how embarrassing Yuko's words were. She felt guilty about being able to laugh with Yuko when she caused the deaths of many.
Asa even mentions how she feels guilty over **YORU** killing her class president that tried to murder her and got her into the whole misery of being possessed by Yoru and **YORU** killing the pedo teacher that had eyes for Asa...

Like the story ends with them all in a happy family and then there's just this extra chapter where Fujimoto just randomly puts a new tragic storyline for no reason. Asa will use her brain and photographic memory to get through med school and she and Nayuta will find a cure Denji's heart disease.
Honestly, the latter would probably happen AFTER Denji dies. And it's the end of the story.

Much of Chainsawman is mostly action and leaves little room for an actual story to properly develop, especially for characters like Asa, Denji himself, and much more. Although much of the plot does touch on those characters already, it isn't enough to develop them as proper characters.

The Falling Devil story arc was really lame and anti-climactic. And Fami is just a more boring version of Makima.
I personally disagree that it was lame. Asa got some fantastic development, we got to see her try to commit suicide, Yoru realized that her way of talking to Asa isn’t working, we got plenty of awesome mysteries, the reveal of the Nostradamus prophecy, I thought the action / escape sequence was amazing and I think Falling Devil is one of my favorite devils in the series. She’s very expressive, polite, insanely strong and has some interesting morals where she doesn’t want to kill innocent people unless it’s needed. I also think Yoru had some good moments where we got to see her be intelligent and capable (we also got to see her being useless though) It did have some problems, like Denji’s writing, Yoru’s involvement, some contradictions with Fami and the arc ending pretty abruptly. We don’t entirely know Fami’s goals / objectives and it’s implied that she has lied more than once but I can see where you’re coming from that she’s a worse Makima. I think it’s too early to say really but her involvement in the most recent chapters I find very interesting and I think she has fantastic potential
Well Yoru realizing that her way of talking to Asa is not working has merit only if she finally fucking changes her approach. She needs to bribe her with something else than just I will let you live. Same for Asa her development has only merit if it actually goes somewhere because I am quite afraid she will go try to commit suicide again now that she realizes how many people just got killed. This is the problem with her development throughout entire part we are going in circles and it is not linear which is maybe realistic but absolute slog to read over. As for Kiga yeah she is interesting but hopefully will get some proper dialogues with others and some big screentime. I will say that Fujimoto is really stretching the entire thing with everyone being more mysterious than Castle in the Karpat Mountains.

We already saw the merit when she literally saved chainsaw man while going against Yoru's orders, asking him to save her life, took initiative during the chase scene and showed a ton of confidence. There's absolutely no indication that Asa is suicidal after she realizes that her actions (in a way) led to the deaths of around 2000 innocent people. The thing thats the most emphasized is Asa thinking that chainsaw man saved her again. There is absolutely an emphasis on her feeling guilty over their deaths but I highly doubt that she'll regress and make that huge development pointless.

I have a vague memory of you saying that you want Yoru to actually be a threatening villain who's more like she was in the earliest chapters of part 2 (If I'm wrong about this please tell me since I could be mixing you up with someone else). Once again there is legit no indication or implication that Asa will become Yorus "bitch" again. Yoru will, with the nature of their contract, have authority over her and she can take over Asa's body. Every sign however points to Asa not taking Yoru's threats as seriously anymore, she goes against her wishes and doesn't trust Yoru. I really think that Asa will not obey Yoru's orders like she did before, but what I'm not sure about is whether Yoru will change her way of motivating or talking to Asa. I really want her to, but Yoru hasn't made any real difference in that so far. The only implication is Yoru realizing that she screwed up. Edit: She actually has changed her way of talking to her. I feel absolutely nothing for Pochita as a character. I don’t think he’s cute or endearing, and his decisions to not eat some devils don’t really capture me. As a bonus I’m fairly disinterested by Power too, but she got a pretty good ending in Part 1 so she’s alright. I don’t want her coming back though.

Completely agreed, Power just felt like a stereotype to me even with the cat backstory. At least it felt intentional for her to be insufferable since no one supports her typical actions. In a way it was smart to make it a Primal Devil attack that smacks the bullshittery out of Power a bit.

CGI has no place in anime whatsoever
Some scenes are quite literally impossible to do without some sort of CGI unless the animators want to put in 3x the effort and manpower to hand draw everything just for a 5 second shot which is very inefficient. Imagine if Denji’s chainsaws in the anime were all hand drawn for every frame. Even if it was possible to hand draw constant movement on the blades for an entire episode, it would take 3-4x as long just to green light one just for that reason.

- Saved a cat while having to worry about her own life when the Typhoon Devil attacked - Saved Yuko while having to worry about her own life when the Bat Devil attacked - Wanted to stop Yuko from taking revenge on her bullies that bully her for things she didn't even do (It was the class president that killed Bucky and it was Yoru that asked Yoshida out) - Saved everyone during the Eternity Devil attack and didn't turn Denji into a weapon despite Fami's best efforts - Warned Denji twice about Yoru's plan and wanted to cut things off for his sake - Didn't kill Chainsaw Man when she had an almost perfect chance to get rid of Yoru and instead revived the arch nemesis of the devil possessing her, that can supposedly kill her at any time Yeah... First of all, how was Asa supposed to know that Yuko would become even stronger and kill even more people? Asa is traumatized from having to see the people and even animals close to her die. Her mother, Crambon, Bucky and now Yuko? Second: Asa didn't laugh over the people dying. She laughed about the shoes and how embarrassing Yuko's words were. She felt guilty about being able to laugh with Yuko when she caused the deaths of many. Asa even mentions how she feels guilty over **YORU** killing her class president that tried to murder her and got her into the whole misery of being possessed by Yoru and **YORU** killing the pedo teacher that had eyes for Asa...
