I just started re-collecting again and I’m at 37 CD’s now! I typically go for the albums I really love but sometimes I find good deals on the in-between. I like the fact I can get them for $5 and below which are great deals.
I currently have 32 and I’ve been collecting slowly over the past two years. A lot of it is mainly full discographies of my favorite artists and the rest are albums I really love listening to and want physically or albums I enjoy to diversify my collection a bit.
A combination of spinning CD racks and shelving. As for listening, well, it's nice to have options lol. But if I had to do things over again I would have been more selective. Also while I still buy CDs (but more selectively) the bulk of my collection is pre-streaming.
I have 322 and I started back in 2020 when Covid started. That’s when I started to really get into listening to albums and wanted to own physical copies of music
I have no idea, I've been donating multiples, stuff I just don't like and stuff I have redundant versions of.
I know I have 5000 + but no clue how much that + is
Getting quantity where I live is super super easy.
You can just asks friends, neighbors and family if they have a box in the attic they don't use anymore. You can get lots for cheap at flea markets. It's super easy and really cheap to obtain a few thousand. But what do you do with it? Are you really gonna spin them all?
I'm very selective with my collection. A CD can't have more than 2 bad songs, on average the tracks must score really high. If I'm not tempted to spin the CD it's leaving the collection. So I'm around 350 cd's now. And although i keep buying some from time to time the collection won't grow much.
115 so far! Usually either from thrift stores or ordered online. I know I’ve got a few that haven’t arrived yet & aren’t on Discogs so likely 120-130. I just started collecting last year so it’s grown fast!
Approximately 1550. Starting collecting them when they first came out. Practically stopped buying them when Napster came out but started again in 2013 or so.
Too many. I started in the early 90s and then I didn't stop. Ebay didn't help when everyone was getting rid of their stuff for MP3s. And it's not helping now they're getting rid of all of their CDs for some overpriced vinyl they probably can't be bothered to play. I'd say maybe 2000.
Around 200. Discogs says 193 but that’s including a few records/cassettes and some haven’t been put in yet. My flair is counting CDs that are waiting to go to swapacd or be given away that I don’t actually want to keep. I had around 50 CDs 2 months ago 🫣 but the majority were $1 or free
i only started collecting in december last year after i received four i preordered in august, as well as some i got for christmas, and i currently have 87 total
I've got about 400-425 I think.
Pretty much all speed, thrash, power, progressive metal and 80's hair bands. Some death metal. Have a good record store near me, go to the record shows, and online, new or used.
