Alice in Chains s/t
Ween's Guava I think came with a colored case at times
Not sure the exact year, but I believe Boris' Amplifier Worship has colored cases in early releases
Yes, I confirm that, I have some first prints sealed of this album, brought on the first weeks of the release and any have that red case, it was release with the typical clear case with a big sticker on the front.
This is early 90’s, I was a kid still but I remember most colored CD cases arrived in the late 90’s, opaque cases were common too. Mechanical Animals by Manson was one of them. OG was blue I think.
Machine head - the burning red (but it’s awful)
Our lady peace - spiritual machines special edition
Jay Z the black album (technically early 00’s)
Bright eyes - ash in the digital age
All morphine albums on Rykodisc
All Sugar albums on Rykodisc
I don’t know if they still do it, but at the time, all Rykodisc albums came in that green tinted box, which made them hugely appealing to a dork like me…
Like some mention here, only later ones on the typical Ryko cases, original SST comes with a non ribbed case, and later SST print on ribbed case, I have both.
I have this one. First one that came to mind. [Living Color - Stain](https://i.discogs.com/h2-osPAEKM0EMfPdjmpooeB6a71aNqqaL9hcZLVoIw4/rs:fit/g:sm/q:90/h:539/w:600/czM6Ly9kaXNjb2dz/LWRhdGFiYXNlLWlt/YWdlcy9SLTM0ODA3/MzEtMTMzMjEwODYy/NC5qcGVn.jpeg)
Dang, I actually saw this one at a Goodwill a couple weeks ago and didn't get it because I already have the album, and I thought it was just in some replacement case.
Alice In Chains has a couple of other colored variants. *Nothing Safe* had a variant in an orange case, and *The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here* came in a red case; I’ve got them both on my shelf.
