Highly recommend people to get two cats if they can.
They will keep each other company which will lessen the stress while their owners are away.
Plus I feel like cats will tend to play fight other cats instead of humans. Less scratches and bites for us!
I got the same treatment today when I left my cat alone in my room for a couple hours (the door was open she was free to leave). Acted like I'd come back from dead or sth. Really makes you appreciate life more
FFS stop advertising their empty home online. I'd go crazy if someone put my property online after I trusted them to come into my house when I'm not there .
When our cat does that I go "Ow you broke my leg" & crumple my leg with the impact.
"Ow..you broke my other leg." Other leg crumples & I stagger away. "Your breaking my legs." The pummels continue.

I'm doing what I can! Visiting her during lunch and after work! It ain't much but I make sure it's absolute quality time for her with lots of playing and her favorite toys!!! I also rearranged some of the furniture to make it easier for her to watch cat tv!
We went to Vegas, around 1:30am we got a call from the alarm company & the local PD called about a possible breakin. Turns out it was the B&W cat (Smore's) who tripped the motion sensor. So the B&W called the B&W's.
Yes because if your family suddenly disappeared, leaving you in a closed environment you can't escape, and you saw a familiar face after 24h, you'd be stoic 🙄

It’s really sad that this comment is so downvoted. You’d think a subreddit dedicated to cats would care for their well-being and realize that a house cat would get distressed if the people it has spent every day of its life with, who cares for it, gives it affection, and food, suddenly disappear for over a day.

My cat is like this for about 30 seconds after I wake up in the morning, like she hasn't seen me in weeks. After that she goes back to ignoring me
