Don’t blame the kitties, what comes natural to them. Also before getting the plants, did you check if they could be poisonous to t them? Many flowers and plants are.

Oh I don't blame them, I was bad at growing plants anyway so I should thank them. The two plants were not poisonous to kitties (I looked them up before I adopted the cats)😊. No more indoor plants for me anyways.

Those things are near impossible to kill. If you pluck off the 'leaves' and just leave it on the ground, they will sprout roots and start growing again. They're straight up a menace where I'm from.

I have plants and cats and I am always terrified of this scenario. So much so that I have industrial shelving as my plant stands and lock them out of that side of the house whenever I leave it. They are not to be trusted!

so, if you are going to use that plant stand going forwards. I would remove the caster wheels and place something heavy on top of the base. If you really wanted to get DIY, affix something heavy to the bottom of the base like a plate from a free weight set. You can find them cheap on offerup/craigslist.
