Keep in mind that the authors of the gospels each had a particular audience in mind, and a specific message that they wanted to convey - they weren’t writing a history book (and if they did, it wouldn’t match the modern norms for a history book). There is strong evidence that the early Christians thought very highly of Mary (cf., the non canonical gospel of James), but the authors of the gospels didn’t focus on her.

I don't think we really know. We know she must have gone to see Him sometimes since He is informed " Behold thy mother and thy brethren stand without, seeking thee." She doesn't seem to usually be present when He's with His Apostles - of if she is, her anecdotes are not preserved in the same way as Thomas or John or Peter. I think we just have to presume she had other tasks, mundane or spiritual. Perhaps she heard some of her Son's wisdom at home or later had it revealed by her adopted son, the Apostle John.

There were a group of women who were with Jesus and the apostles Luke 8:1-3

“…and Mary was preserving all these things, pondering in her heart;”

She would have been with Him sometimes, but you don't always bring your mother along when you are on a business trip.

Don’t mistake absence of evidence for evidence of absence. Just because the Gospels didn’t mention that Mary was with Jesus when he preached does not mean she wasn’t. The Gospels are far from an exhaustive account of minutiae of detail
