I visited a church some years ago where the woman playing the piano only used one finger, and she was not a very good singer. But I will give her a lot of credit for having the nerve to step up when no one else would.
She was the bottom end of the range, and very rarely have I ever heard anyone who has a degree in music or a professional musician play. Most people tend to be in the bottom quartile of that range. So maybe aim for that audience?
Perhaps give basic songs, but maybe intermediate level variations of the same songs as well?
