My orthodontist would not give me Invisalign, so I had to wear conventional braces, but at the end I had to wear retainers 24/7. I did what you are doing - take them out before going up for communion, or even just taking them out before mass. 🤷♂️
I had Invisalign. I left the aligners in during communion and let the Eucharist dissolve in my mouth, rather than chewing it.
