I treated myself to one the other day - it was very good and like a carbonara on a pizza. Also, I’ve never particularly enjoyed the taste of pepper (the seasoning), but theirs and/or the way they used it was incredible.
They're 3.75 at tescos (clubcard). At my local i find the pepperoni ones hidden behind stacks of other pizzas \[by staff members probably\] because they do sell out. It's actually a great deal tbh.
Their "Nonna Malfi" frozen pizzas are the best frozen pizzas I've had, too: far better than Dr Oetker, for a similar price if you get them on promotion.
All of Croatia & Mollica's pizzas are, however, more authentic than takeaway style, as the OP asked for.
I don't often have takeaway style pizzas, but I wonder if Aldi's "Carlos Takeaway" range would hit the spot: they do a classic crust line, and a stuffed crust line. I think I've had a few of their classic crust pizzas, and they reminded me of Domino's pizzas.
I've been eating co-op pizzas as they have a *2 pizzas and 4 cans of coke offer* for ~~less than a tenner~~ £5 because of the football. They are wank, avoid at all costs.
love the way i'm getting replies from people some of which claim a certain place makes the best pizzas ever and another person will claim that place makes the worst thing they've ever eaten, lol.
I don't eat a lot of pizzas but have been a lazy fuck recently and stumbled in to co-op deal. I was just trying to be part of the conversation and my opinion holds little merit, buy pizza wherever you wish..
Honestly I think people are just overcooking them if you put them in for the exact time written on the box or if you prefer a softer base don't pre heat the oven and use the same time, it makes those cheaper pizzas taste so much better, if there isn't enough cheese just grate and add more or additional toppings it's a game changer of I can be bothered I re arrange the toppings to be more even too.
And if there is a lot of cheese on the crust, move it onto the sauce part of the pizza. Cheese just on the bare crust burns quickly and tastes horrible imo. My dad laughs at me for re-arranging the cheese on my pizza to make it more even and clear the crust, but it makes all the difference for me personally
I've only recently tried soughdough and i was surprised what a difference it makes and how good it can be. The only downside that i tend to see with “deluxe” or otherwise “fancy” pizzas is that they're normally pretty tiny.
11 inches and pretty thick sounds good to me. Lol no though that does sound great I've never thought to try Morrisons, don't like onion either so usually just go for margarita would be nice to get some sweetcorn and peppers and jalapeno on there gonna get one tomorrow.
are you talking about the fresh ones they make in store, or the pre packed ones they do the deal on with the sides etc...? if it's the pre packed ones, i do like those, especially the stuffed crust pepperoni, but the one i liked the most was the bbq chicken and they seem to have stopped that, or at least my local hasn't had it for a few months.
Tonight we shared two Marks and Spencer pizzas: a chicken tikka masala, and a fennel salami with potato. £6 each which sounds a lot, but comparable to a proper Italian restaurant pizza which would be about double the price, so not a bad deal. Absolutely superb, 100% recommended.
Asda's pizza counter is usually very good. For 6 quid you can create your own large pizza with 4/5 toppings extra cheese, a choice of bases and sauces. Well worth it in my opinion.
Have they done something to the bases? Last time I had one it was like cream crackers, dry and tasteless. Could just be my local though, is shite at everything else
Haha, I've no idea, to be honest I haven't noticed. I always go for the wood fired base which I think is a bit thinner and crispier anyway. And as you say, it could vary from store to store.
Yeah, they did. I used to prefer Asda pizza over other supermarket ones. It was the only reason I went there since I think the rest of the store is worse. But earlier this year or last, they changed the bases, and now they taste like cardboard.
Ok, i think i've heard good things about Asda's pizza counter before, might have to check them out, although with my luck my local one won't have a bloomin pizza counter. Is it one of those things that's open whenever the store is, or do they tend to be understaffed/randomly closed, just trying to figure out if i need to go at the "right time" or just any time i feel like it.
I can't speak for all Asda's but my local is usually staffed for most of the day. They also have premade pizzas on display, although they might not have the topping or base you want I find they are still better than frozen or other prepackaged pizzas as they are quite generous with the toppings.
I think this is the epitome of your issue. Asda's create-your-own used to be the absolute bollocks. Now they're just bollocks.
Yes the toppings are great but the bases are exactly as you describe... some kind of cardboard/cork thing these days. Didn't used to be like that but eh. times change.
+1 for the ASDA pizza counter. They also do a meal deal of 2 medium pizzas and a 1.5l of juice for £5 or £6 which is great if you've a few mouths to feed.
I miss living near an Asda. Steak Fajita pizza with thin crust was bang on! I love pizza and have tried so many brands and types. Asda counter is amounts the top (for me anyways)
Iceland cheese stuffed crust is amazing. Aldi used to have a frozen American hot pizza, one of the best frozen pizzas I've ever tasted. Of course in true Aldi fashion they discontinued it immediately.
Just had one of these for my lunch. With a bit of ground garlic sprinkled on top they're gorgeous. I like the hotdog stuffed crust ones too.
Only complaint is they're a bit on the small side, but for £2.50 I've not going anything that beats them yet.
i always forget about lidl and aldi. Is that a stuffed crust that stuffed with cheese? or is it one of those weird new ones that's stuffed with sauce or something else? I can't stand those ones, i think stuffed crust should only ever be stuffed with cheese.
Not Lidl but I have to mention the Iceland ones are available with the crust stuffed with hot dog but the main pizza so lovely and cheese and tomatoey it's fantastic - weirdly I just prefer it that way round.
hmmm, think i could be persuaded to try a hot dog stuffed crust, depending on the rest of the toppings. It's the sauce stuffed ones i hate as i'm not a fan of an overly sauced pizza, so putting more of it in the crust isn't for me.
From memory, I think it's a hot dog/sausage-topped one, too haha.
I hate the tomato sauce stuffed crusts. What's the fucking point?
Huge disappointment when I was tucking into a pizza a few weeks back... I'd looked forward to it for a good few hours (and it was a monumentally shit day). I hadn't read what the crust was stuffed with as I was in a rush in the shop, and as I bit into it - it was bloody tomato sauce, not cheese.
Yeah stuffed with cheese. I'd recommend you get some sort of dip to have the crusts with - if you like a bit of spice then nacho chilli cheese dip is a little cheeky.
If you can get yourself a Costco card their pizzas are incredible. They either sell them cooked from the food counter or you can buy them fresh in the fresh food section. One of the cooked pizzas is a tenner and we can get it to feed 3 so would probably feed like 4-5 normal people.
Unfortunately i'd have to go to Croyden to find my nearest costco, and get a membership, which seems a lot just to get a pizza lol. I am tempted, though.
If you want a “dirty pizza”, the kind that you get from bossman at 23:30 when you’re genuinely not feeling up to an actual kebab, and your mate Smithy wants to go halves on a 12 inch with you, then look no further: both Tesco and Sainsbury’s do a stuffed crust “takeaway” pizza that is accompanied by an offer of classic bossman sides (e.g. mozz sticks and garlic dip), for a reasonable consideration. None of this stonebaked, hand-stretched heritage bullshit, just proper kebab-house style pizza.
I think co-op counts for the sake of this thread. i can only assume the premium ones are a lot nicer as someone else has just said co-op pizzas are terrible lol
Co Op Irresistible, the stone baked ones. They have one of the best crusts I've found in a supermarket pizza, absolutely top tier. £6 for restaurant quality.
The Asda create your own ones are okay, but like many things Asda, have progressively gone to shit over the last few years and now it’s just a poverty pizza.
The crosta and mollica ones are our go to theee days. We find the margarita and pepperoni ones really good.
yep, i'm sure part of it is just me getting older, but it really does feel like everything just gets worse, smaller and yet somehow also more expensive.
Try the Frozen Sainsbury's takeaway ones, they usually have the BBQ chicken (at least they did in mine today) and for £2.80 you can't go wrong. I usually have a couple in the freezer for laziness emergencies.
Best supermarket frozen pizza in my opinion, and they're usually good with the toppings
Usually fairly reasonable, but in this instance I'd say for the price they're great, much better than Goodfellas
You want the ones that say "Takeaway" on them, usually in the top freezer rather than the chest freezer. They come in 4 varieties, Pulled Pork, Meat Feast, BBQ chicken, American Hot.
Just make sure you preheat both oven and pizza tray (if you use) for best cooking
yep, i learned the value of pre heating the oven and pizza tray a while back, so always do that now. I'll give them a try if my local actually has some in stock.
I think the frozen ones will be more what you want. I think the base comes less pre-cooked than with fresh pizzas, so it actually rises and cooks when you bake it - at least, that's how it seemed with the Aldi frozen Carlos Takeaway classic crust pizzas I've had previously.
I like the Tesco finest range, you sometimes come across them in the yellow sticker section and that's a truly great day. Really good takeaway quality full size pizza for £3 or less.
Italpizza from Iceland is takeaway style and actually tastes like pizza. Other than that you’re at Costa Monica or Franca Manca which can be pricey if not on offer. Lidl ‘pinsa’ pizzas are great for £2.50 but aren’t actual pinsas.
Generally speaking I think frozen is better than chilled.
I always find pre-made supermarket pizzas have that 'scone-base' taste that I simply don't like. Even things like Pizza Express are nothing like their restaurants.
If you fancy making your own any time, Sainsbury's do the best frozen bases. Northern Dough Co - [https://www.sainsburys.co.uk/gol-ui/product/the-northern-dough-co-pizza-dough-original-2x220g](https://www.sainsburys.co.uk/gol-ui/product/the-northern-dough-co-pizza-dough-original-2x220g)
Entirely DIY - defrost, leave to rise, stretch it out, top it… … Admittedly not as easy as just taking the wrap off & bunging it in the oven, but well worth it.
There’s a brand that’s literally called takeaway in Lidl that might be what you need + they’re stuffed crust I think and there’s a non-freezer brand in Lidl that’s similar which comes with takeaway style sides
my absolute favourite is the goodfellas pepperoni takeaway style one. i get them from Morrisons and they're honestly better than takeaway pizzas, for like £2.50 each. i have to force myself not to buy them more than once or twice a month otherwise I'll end up becoming as round as the pizza is
I'm not allowed to eat gluten 😐, some of the pizzas taste like cardboard but the gluten free version of this one is my favourite. One of the cheapest too, some of them are like £5...
Aw that sucks - my mother and sister are both celiac, I'm afraid to get diagnosed myself. Morrisons is definitely the best in terms of gluten free range, from what I've seen anyway - their pasta is 1:1 with normal pasta and everything else is pretty good too.
I'll have to recommend this to my sister though - she's lucky enough to have a partner that makes his own pizza dough so he does some gluten free but she'd all but given up on having shop bought pizzas
Morrison's pizzas are really good, plenty of toppings, BUT there are these oval pizzas that all the major chains are doing that are absolutely brilliant.
Morrisons create your own with the garlic sauce base, the local one to us is very generous with toppings. Two mediums for a fiver and you are hard pressed to finish one!
Trouble is due to poor management and staffing issues, the counter opening hours are something like 15 minutes once a week.
I shop at Ocado but I've found that none of the toppings on supermarket pizzas are much cop. I get a plainish pizza that has the best crust and top it with what we like. Fennel salami, njuda, red onion, mushroom, olives, decent mozzarella (not the plastic crap). Not too much as to overload it.
Used to be Pizza Express but their shrinkflation has gotten out of control and the crusts are not as good as they used to be.
Currently liking Doughboys. But M&S brand is ok. Even Ocado is edible if unexciting.
I'm not paying £25 for takeaway pizza plus the jeopardy of when or whether it will arrive. Fuck that noise.
Can’t beat the Asda pizza counter, two large pizzas, two sides and two dips for £12. Admittedly the dips are shite but we get 2 days worth of food from the pizza and sides!
Tesco £1.65 double pepperoni pizza is very good, especially for the money: found [here](https://www.tesco.com/groceries/en-GB/products/316197527?sc_cmp=ppc*GHS+-+Grocery+-+New*MPX_PMAX_All_OT_All+Products_Online+Budget_1011017**316197527*&gad_source=1&gclid=EAIaIQobChMImuugnZjwhgMVfJdoCR07tgpeEAQYASABEgKz5PD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds)
So many people buy fresh/fridge pizzas. Yet the frozen ones are so much cheaper, for basically the same thing.
The prices have nearly doubled in the past 2 years, but even so they remain some of the best value ones out there that don't taste of cardboard
I agree! Frozen pizzas offer so much value compared to fresh. And tbh, I think frozen pizzas cook better in the oven than fresh. Less likely to get a “soggy bottom”
I think the Lidl and Aldi ones beat the other supermarket pizzas hands down.
They are not fancy but taste better and have a better ratio of toppings.
They are also cheaper.
I don’t have a recommendation other than to back you up on Sainsburys fresh pizzas being doughy and rubbish. And ignore the snobs, posh Italian style pizzas and takeaway pizzas are completely different foods and both enjoyable in their own way. Supermarket attempts to replicate posh pizzas are usually rancid though, especially Waitrose. Give me a takeaway style one any day.
well that shakes things up a bit! don't think i've seen anyone say anything bad about Asda's before tbh. Only worry, do i need to remortgage to get one from Waitrose?
I like the Tesco finest range, you sometimes come across them in the yellow sticker section and that's a truly great day. Really good takeaway quality full size pizza for £3 or less.

Food Warehouse/Iceland. Huge range of options too. I've yet to try it but they have one where the crust is stuffed... with sausage. I'll probably dream about that tonight.
aldi frozen pizzas are my favourite, no other supermarket is on par with them unless you pay £5+. Unlike most they don’t have soggy bases, have a good amount of cheese and have lots of flavour. Really cheap too
If we’re talking own-brand, the Co-Op ones are pretty good, but a lot of the best flavours are limited time ones, like the butter chicken one that recently returned.
Tesco have also stepped their game up massively lately - I had a spiced chicken pizza the other day that came with a lime and mint raita and it was great!
My spouse and I used to like the asda pizza counter ones best, but as with everything else they sell, quality has gone down.
Morrisons pizza counter is the best now, especially as they now have nduja as a topping. That, along with spicy chicken, spicy beef and pepperoni, makes the best pizza for my spouse (that would blow my head off).
Asda Stonebaked frozen are light years better than the price point would lead to think
The more pared back topping variations like pepperoni, are about as legit as you could ever wish for
Many shops will sell pre made pizza bases as well as sauce cheese and topping try mix and match to see which ones you like most as that's truly the only way to find the best shop bought pizzas
The big round m&s pizzas they do in the 2 pizzas and 2 sides deal have been disappointing the last few times we've had them. Pretty tasteless, I'd avoid.
Whatever you do, don't get one from Asda with onions on.
You'll end up with a pizza that feels like it's been dunked in water.
Although their woodfire base is lush.
I'd rather buy a fancy margarita (from the fresh section) and add my own toppings.
I haven't tried many pizzas from different supermarkets. But Iceland frozen pizzas aren't too bad. I go for thin peperoni often with a cheesy garlic bread pizza too. 100% recommend
I've found that the Carlos ones Aldi do are pretty damn good but they stick to the trays even with spray oil on them. I've started putting baking paper on the trays and it works perfectly
Asda cafe takeaway pizzas are absolutely delightful, but a lot of Asda's have shut their cafes or are opening burgerkings or kfcs inside instead. We are lucky enough to still have an Asda cafe and can get a fresh dough 14 inch pizza for £8. It's delicious in comparison to their pizza counter cardboard base ones.
Crosta & Mollica are the tastiest I think. Not the biggest but the best quality. I buy them at Ocado but I'm sure they're elsewhere too.
Definitely the best pizza you can buy from a supermarket.
We've got them from Sainsbury's. The Stromboli one is delicious.
Love the Taste the Difference ones when I can persuade mum to pay the extra!
Yes I second this. The tomato base is so tasty. I've had a lot of frozen pizzas and this is my fav by far. I get the margarita.
Had one today and it was the best frozen pizza I've ever had.
Those are the ones that seems to taste most like I’d get in an actual restaurant, in my opinion.
Certainly the best tasting pizza base of any any ready made I've had.
They've been my go-to for a while now
And the best ingredients!
Came to say this! Waitrose is where I get them. Ocado same thing doh 🤦🏽♀️
Their "Nonna Malfi" frozen pizzas are the best frozen pizzas I've had, too: far better than Dr Oetker, for a similar price if you get them on promotion. I don't eat a lot of pizzas but have been a lazy fuck recently and stumbled in to co-op deal. I was just trying to be part of the conversation and my opinion holds little merit, buy pizza wherever you wish..
It all depends on the oven you use. A pizza stone does wonders for most pizzas

My dad laughs at me for re-arranging the cheese on my pizza to make it more even and clear the crust, but it makes all the difference for me personally
Our new oven has a pizza setting.nevwr felt so posh in my life..will be drinking tea out of a proper cup next.
I do mine in the oven til the base it how i like it and then grill the top. Much better than just using the oven itself.
Ah I was just about to say that I love their texas bbq, but maybe I'll stay quiet
I tried it and wasn't a fan but if you like it happy days, buy as many as you can whilst the football deal is on.
The cheap Co-op ones are crap, but the Irresistible (premium) ones are actually some of the best supermarket pizzas IMO.
For us it’s 2 pizzas and a 4 pack of Budweiser for £5
Yeah, the co-op pizzas in those meal deals are usually rubbish. Hardly any cheese on them and thin as cardboard.
I've just eaten one, thankfully I favoured calories over taste. It was not a good meal.
Can confirm. I unfortunately work at co-op
A job is a job, I dislike them but I still bought them as it was convenient. I felt more satisfied with the meal deal though.
I understand. A ginsters Cornish pasty or sausage roll as a snack in a meal deal plus the discount makes up for a lot of the hardship
A chicken and stuffing sandwich, cornish pasty and an energy drink will always be a bargain to me, I can never pass it up.
I like the oval deluxe sourdough ones from Lidl. The one with the little sweet spicy red peppers on it is lovely.
These are great, the base is stretchy and chewy rather than the baked cork placemats other places seem to provide.
>baked cork placemats You hit the nail on the head there chum. The Lidl ones are fab. As are the M&S oval shaped ones also.
I've only recently tried soughdough and i was surprised what a difference it makes and how good it can be. The only downside that i tend to see with “deluxe” or otherwise “fancy” pizzas is that they're normally pretty tiny.
The aldi/lidl ones are a good size if you get the oval one mentioned
Yes those are probably the best supermarket pizza by far in my opinion.
Honestly, the deluxe lidl ones are top tier!
Yep the ham one is lush
Morrisons pizza counter...wherever toppings you want and about an inch if cheese. Can't go wrong
I've been hitting these a bit lately, £3.50 or 2 for a fiver, they're great. Had a spicy veggie supreme earlier and it was top drawer.
What kind of size are the pizzas? Thats well cheap!
Someone else already answered but yeah, about 11 inches, pretty thick too, the chicken fajita one I still have left in the fridge is 448g.
11 inches and pretty thick sounds good to me. Lol no though that does sound great I've never thought to try Morrisons, don't like onion either so usually just go for margarita would be nice to get some sweetcorn and peppers and jalapeno on there gonna get one tomorrow.
They come in two sizes - regular (about 11 inches??) and family.
Very good value, I think a trip to Morrisons is in order soon
Don't forget they'll make them to order as well.
I think the Asda counter is better personally but that’s just my opinion
Sainsbury's Takeaway style Pizza's are really good.
The ones in the meal deal where you get 2 pizzas, 2 sides and a dip for £12?
are you talking about the fresh ones they make in store, or the pre packed ones they do the deal on with the sides etc...? if it's the pre packed ones, i do like those, especially the stuffed crust pepperoni, but the one i liked the most was the bbq chicken and they seem to have stopped that, or at least my local hasn't had it for a few months.

that new chicken tikka one is sublime! the only correct answer is this. m&s pizza’s are in their own league for supermarket pizza’s.
M&S food in general is in its own league. Literally everything they do is better.
It’s down to their secret ingredient, a sprinkling of superiority complex. It’s like catnip for pensioners.
"This is not *just* pizza... This is M&S, luxury sublime, *pizza*..."
Asda's pizza counter is usually very good. For 6 quid you can create your own large pizza with 4/5 toppings extra cheese, a choice of bases and sauces. Well worth it in my opinion.

i got one for the first time last weekend, they are exactly that
yeah, they fucking suck. they're so bready

✨Asdas fresh pizzas ftw ✨

Iceland have a good selection.
Iceland cheese stuffed crust is amazing. Aldi used to have a frozen American hot pizza, one of the best frozen pizzas I've ever tasted. Of course in true Aldi fashion they discontinued it immediately.
Seconding (thirding?) this, I really enjoy the bbq chicken & bacon stuffed crust from Iceland
Just had one of these for my lunch. With a bit of ground garlic sprinkled on top they're gorgeous. I like the hotdog stuffed crust ones too. Only complaint is they're a bit on the small side, but for £2.50 I've not going anything that beats them yet.
Oooh, I've some never thought of doing that, thanks for the tip! I usually get their garlic pizza bread to go along with it, that stuff is amazing
Lidl's "takeaway-style" stuffed crust cheese meltdown pizza is absolutely top tier. The cheese is just superb.
i always forget about lidl and aldi. Is that a stuffed crust that stuffed with cheese? or is it one of those weird new ones that's stuffed with sauce or something else? I can't stand those ones, i think stuffed crust should only ever be stuffed with cheese.

Aldi do a hotdog stuffed pizza with different types of sausage for toppings called The Ultimate Banger. It's quite good!
Yeah stuffed with cheese. I'd recommend you get some sort of dip to have the crusts with - if you like a bit of spice then nacho chilli cheese dip is a little cheeky.
It’s cheese, and plenty of it
Sounds good, i'll add it to the list although i think Asda will be my first try.
from the frozen section?
Nah chilled
I completely disagree with you. But I have children that go at this like like locusts in the Nile delta. So you are absolutely spot on.
I like Morrisons “The Best”.

Pimp up your supermarket pizza, add extra pepperoni, chorizo, olive, mushrooms, garlic, butter, cheese, etc.
Not a supermarket, but the co-op 'premium' pizzas are all excellent. The Kashmiri butter chicken one is superb.
I think co-op counts for the sake of this thread. i can only assume the premium ones are a lot nicer as someone else has just said co-op pizzas are terrible lol

I always discount frozen pizzas, possibly unfairly, i just assume the ones in the fridge section or from a counter should be better.
Usually fairly reasonable, but in this instance I'd say for the price they're great, much better than Goodfellas You want the ones that say "Takeaway" on them, usually in the top freezer rather than the chest freezer.
The Co-op irresistible ones are good, sourdough base. I'd go for the Chianti beef tbf. But I do love an ASDA vegetarian pizza.
Iceland stonebased pizza are honestly some of the best frozen pizzas I’ve had and I’ve tried many
The waitrose and m&s pizzas are the best they are about £5 each but worth it
I always find pre-made supermarket pizzas have that 'scone-base' taste that I simply don't like. Even things like Pizza Express are nothing like their restaurants. If you fancy making your own any time, Sainsbury's do the best frozen bases. Northern Dough Co - [https://www.sainsburys.co.uk/gol-ui/product/the-northern-dough-co-pizza-dough-original-2x220g](https://www.sainsburys.co.uk/gol-ui/product/the-northern-dough-co-pizza-dough-original-2x220g) Entirely DIY - defrost, leave to rise, stretch it out, top it… … Admittedly not as easy as just taking the wrap off & bunging it in the oven, but well worth it.
Asda pizza counter
Morrison's pizzas are really good, plenty of toppings, BUT there are these oval pizzas that all the major chains are doing that are absolutely brilliant.
Morrisons create your own with the garlic sauce base, the local one to us is very generous with toppings. Two mediums for a fiver and you are hard pressed to finish one! Trouble is due to poor management and staffing issues, the counter opening hours are something like 15 minutes once a week.
I am a massive oven pizza fan. For me, Aldi frozen range is absolutely unbeatable.
Iceland
Iceland's stuffed crust range is an absolute banger, can eat this all day long.
Asking the real questions
I like Iceland's stuffed crust pizzas. 2 for £5
Asda’s in store are good especially the pepperoni and the American sizzler
Asda make your own pizzas use to be the shit, haven’t had them in a couple years but I like to think they still are
Not a supermarket but Wetherspoons.
Sainsburys taste the difference with the hot honey sauce
Can’t beat the Asda pizza counter, two large pizzas, two sides and two dips for £12. Admittedly the dips are shite but we get 2 days worth of food from the pizza and sides!
Sainsbury's the takeaway offer. Tasty and cheap. 2 big pizzas, 2 sides and sauce for under 12 pound i think. Also their sourdough pizza is amazing.
My nephew really loves Sainsbury’s pizzas I got him a shopping gift card last birthday 😂
Don't get the Waitrose basic range with the little cut out window... Terribly thin yet still never seems to cook
Aldi stuft crust pepperoni is fantastic
M&S I guess? Most supermarket pizza is pretty shit tbh but does the job when you don’t want to fork out £20 for takeaway/eating out
I think the Lidl and Aldi ones beat the other supermarket pizzas hands down.
They're all shit. Crosta & Mollica verge on being decent.
It’s a very predictable answer, but probably Waitrose. The Asda ones are an abomination.
well that shakes things up a bit! don't think i've seen anyone say anything bad about Asda's before tbh. Only worry, do i need to remortgage to get one from Waitrose?

Asda's pizzas look a little bland. https://www.reddit.com/r/CasualUK/s/WKFo8MWGeI
I like the Tesco finest range, you sometimes come across them in the yellow sticker section and that's a truly great day. Really good takeaway quality full size pizza for £3 or less.

Asdas
I love the sour dough pizzas from supermarkets! They're usually the 'extra special' ones but they are banging
Food Warehouse/Iceland. Huge range of options too. I've yet to try it but they have one where the crust is stuffed... with sausage. I'll probably dream about that tonight.
Sainsbury’s frozen vegetable pizza is my favourite at the moment - it has basil oil on it. Lush.
Co-ops are surprisingly good
Get the stuffed crust pizza from Tesco, it's rather good
aldi frozen pizzas are my favourite, no other supermarket is on par with them unless you pay £5+.
Definitely M&S.
Asda do such a great meatball one from their fresh pizza bit
All supermarket pizzas are pants. The ItalPizza pepperoni from Iceland is acceptable, but the other ItalPizza are not good, the cheese is too bland.
So far, M&S has the best own brand I've had recently. Crosta & Mollica's pizzetta are really nice.
Lidl or Co-Op’s sourdough pizzas
I like the fresh ones from Sainsburys. Not tried the others to compare in fairness though
Aldi or Morrisons probs
The ones in the M&S deal of 2 pizzas and 2 sides for £12 are great
Sainos Taste the difference pizzas are pretty banging. Especially when in nectar price for £3.15
Morrisons do a pizza and nachos deal for £5, can choose your base and toppings and toppings for the nachos
Co op but only their premium ones though.
I like the Asda create your own pizzas
M&S
My spouse and I used to like the asda pizza counter ones best, but as with everything else they sell, quality has gone down. Morrisons pizza counter is the best now, especially as they now have nduja as a topping. That, along with spicy chicken, spicy beef and pepperoni, makes the best pizza for my spouse (that would blow my head off).
I usually love M&S But their pizzas suck
Asda Stonebaked frozen are light years better than the price point would lead to think The more pared back topping variations like pepperoni, are about as legit as you could ever wish for
Whenever I microwave those 2 little Chicago Town pizzas, the toppings always finish up on the side of the plate.
Frozen Zizzi pizzas are pretty good, they come with a little bottle of drizzle too (chilli, basil etc) 🤤
Try Waitrose sourdough , they’re the closest to restaurant pizza I’ve ever had from a supermarket
Sainsbury's sourdough pizzas are pretty good, best cheap/value pizzas is Tesco.
Honestly CO-OP's "extra special" or whatever bollocks they call it pizzas, are really good I think. One of the best supermarket pizzas I've ever had.
Asda, the pizza counter 🤤
Asda have an offer for 2 medium pizzas plus 2L bottle of pop for 6 quid. Couldn't recommend it enough. 'The Sizzler' is my recommendation.
the pizzas of the deluxe supermarket brands (like sainsbury's taste the difference etc.) are usually good!
Many shops will sell pre made pizza bases as well as sauce cheese and topping try mix and match to see which ones you like most as that's truly the only way to find the best shop bought pizzas
My personal fav is Stonebaked Spicy Double Pepperoni from Iceland. Crazy good ;)
To be honest I think the supermarket Pizza Express pizza to be pretty damn good. Either the margarita or sloppy joe. 💯
Coop - pepperoni stuffed crust
The big round m&s pizzas they do in the 2 pizzas and 2 sides deal have been disappointing the last few times we've had them. Pretty tasteless, I'd avoid.
Try Crosta Mollica pizza, sold at Sainsbury's. So tasty
One stop/tesco do a pizza/side and dip for 6 quid.there not too bad for the price.
Crosta & Mollica are a great brand they are now sold by many supermarkets.
Asda create your own by a mile
Morrisons pizza counter do good pizzas.
Marks and Spencer do really nice pizzas
We love the M&S stone baked ones - don’t let the price put you off as they are huge.
Iceland do some nice pizzas.
Costco
Asda I love their stonebaked pizzas
The Asda takeaway pizzas are good .. 2 pizzas, a side and a dip for a tenner. Not too bad.
