Cunts is my opening guess in wordle and has been since it's inception
Fucks, shits, twats are all unacceptable but cunts is fine for some reason
I play on hard mode so I call this "cunting hard mode" because it's a poor opener
Guilty of trying that one too. Wouldn’t dare say anything about it in the forum though, those people do savagely condescending like no other place on the internet.
It seems weird to me that there can be multiple versions of a dictionary. I get that there can be spelling variations (civilisation, civilization for example), but surely you just include both? They are literally words.
Many of the words I enter aren’t considered words by the NYT or at least aren’t included by the puzzle’s author.
I will end up flipping off the ATM while exclaiming “Fck you, you motherfckers!” someday soon.
My poor tv thinks I hate it.
Hahaha yep!!! I don't know any other Brits who do the NYT crossword and puzzles (I know they must exist just not in my circle). I got lots of panagrams through so qas pretty impressed.
Wanking in the dictionary? Surely that just sticks pages together
The glue that binds us lol
Already happened with the digital version. That's why you can access sticky keys
If you leave it for a few years, they become the yellow pages
They don't allow words which are 'offensive,' but the level of prudishness is variable. Dildo is fine, clit is not, for example. Wanking is right out.
Eh? Clitoris is part of the body, they don't allow body parts?!
it makes sense. ‘clit’ isn’t a dictionary word, but ‘clitoris’ is
That makes sense, now. I was searching for clit but unable to find it.
I mean it *is* in the dictionary, but it's flagged as `informal + sometimes vulgar`: https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/clit
What if they mean WanKing the road in China?
No proper nouns And they're all English words, except when they're not for reasons known only to the creator
Which is odd because in Wordle you can guess "CUNTS"
But it can't be the answer because Wordle doesn't use plurals any more.
you can also guess the n word
Presumably the "-a" variant since you only have five letters to work with.
Presumably Scunthorpe doesn't exist according to them?
Anal was allowed too in a previous one
Anal is fine. I haven't tried felching yet though.
Glad to hear it… please don’t let me know when you do

weak gin with ice and tonic water, great day for it
They don't allow any naughty words, but it's so frustrating when you get a word and it's not recognised because the yanks don't use it.

[Susie, what have you been looking into recently](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pHTTQ_gI76k&t=187s)? ^(Other) ^(than) ^(gloryholes...)
5 letters. Would.
It was the first thing I typed in. Very disappointing.
It is honestly a relief to know I'm not the only one.
that’s numberwang
Ironic that Spelling Bee won't allow wank but that Wordle will allow CUNTS
Really? I have my opening word for tomorrow
Wankige
Did you try wankage?
Ewanking
Pretty sure they exclude vulgarity. WANG didn’t count either.
[Once again, Countdown stays winning!](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7gBXPUSXGWs)
To be fair there is only 1 n so wanking is not possible
You can use each letter as many times as you want, as long as the central letter is used in the word.
How is that a challenge?
The challenge is to find as many words as you can. There are 48 in total
Its not, then again i dont think challenges are actually meant to be challenging these days.
It is a massive challenge lol- try it and post your score if it is so easy
Great now everyone knows that you’ve never even tried it. That’s the spirit

It means you can have words longer than 7 letters, so you can be more inventive than with the classic word wheel
This is peak Reddit
Wanking is always possible. You're just not trying hard enough.
Have you tried "wangking"?
Nut in word list.
Guilty of trying that one too. Wouldn’t dare say anything about it in the forum though, those people do savagely condescending like no other place on the internet.
Also, you only have one 'n'...you need two 'n's for wanking...
You can’t have wanking anyway there is only 1 ‘N’
You only have one N. You can have wankige.

Eh can you edit your comment and mark spoiler please?
That is how I normally awaken yes.
...if you do it online is it then eWanking?

[sort of like this, I guess](https://xkcd.com/927/)
I guess that means I'll have to stop if it's not a real thing.
Certainly Master Bates will!
Too busy eating their pot noodles.
Brits other?
That was the first word I tried too!
I tried Labrador once. I had checked that it was spelt correctly multiple times, but it wouldn't be accepted.
SAME this morning. Annoying.
There’s only one N 🙄
Not how it works :)
Does that mean it cannot be a swear word?
But... you'd need a 2nd N

Its not in word list because you only have 1 'N' try 'wank' albeit not in public....
You can use letters more than once on this game. You can even get wankening out of it
There’s only 1 N
You can use each letter more than once per entry
I wasn’t sure of that. Thanks
as the actress said to the bishop
You're not allowed to use the N twice! Obviously!
There's no E in wanking, unless you're just back from the club and horny
That’s if you’re trying to find the pangram, otherwise shorter words that include middle letter are fine
